The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 28.07.2013 (Sunday). Candidates can apply only On-line for CTET-JULY 2013 on CBSE/CTET website.

Note: 7 days grace time i.e. up to 29.04.2013 for receipt of Confirmation Page will be allowed to the candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep.

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test - July 2013 on  29-01-2012 at various centers across the country.

One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

1 The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

2 CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

3 Schools owned and managed by the State government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.

ELIGIBILITY:
The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET.
Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualification for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

(* Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Candidates can apply for CTET-JULY 2013 ‘ON-LINE’ through CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in  or www.ctet.nic.in  w.e.f. 15.03.2013 to 16.04.2013.

2. ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION - www.cbse.nic.in  or www.ctet.nic.in   Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ through website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. After successful submission of data, Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number. The Confirmation page is sent to CBSE. Candidates should pay the following fee:

SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person   Rs.250/-     Rs.400/-

The fee can be remitted in the following ways:
Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post Office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
 By Debit/Credit Card.

3. Please ensure before dispatching/mailing the Confirmation Page of online application form that:-
The candidate has signed the Confirmation Page at the specified place;
The candidate has pasted the recent passport size photograph on the space earmarked for it;
The candidate has attached CBSE copy of Challan of the prescribed fee.
The candidate has kept a photocopy of the Confirmation Page for use as reference for future correspondence.
The Confirmation Page must be dispatched in an Envelope of size 12”x9” only and paste the computer generated address slip on the envelope superscribing “APPLICATION FOR CTET- JULY 2013”.

4. The Confirmation Page, complete in all respect, along with CBSE copy of Challan if fees paid through Challan, should be sent through Registered/Speed Post only so as to reach positively by 22.04.2013 in the CBSE office addressed to;

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D programme in Education, Department of Education, University of Calcutta, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-27. Eligible candidates (having Master’s Degree in Education/M.Ed.) should apply in the prescribed form to be downloaded from C.U.’s official website www.caluniv.ac.in along with an application fee of Rs. 100/- (by cash ) through a challan obtainable from the Cash counter, Alipur Campus. The filled up forms along with the requisite fee by C.U. Challan are to be submitted between 12.00 and 2.30 pm on all working days at the office of the Department of Education (3rd floor ), Alipur Campus, C.U. The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of 2 (two) hours duration to be held in this Department on 17.04.2013 at 1.00 pm. The list of successful candidates for interview will be displayed on the notice board of the Department on 30.04.2013.They will have to appear at an interview on 13.5.2013 (Exempted category) and 14.5.2013 (Test Category). Those candidates who have already passed U.G.C. /CSIR(JRF) examinations/ NET/SET/SLET/ M.Phil/ Teacher Fellow in Education need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview. Reservation policy will be followed as per State Government and University norms .

2. Psychological Foundation of Education.
3. Sociological Foundation of Education.

Type of question : 45 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each = 90 marks.

Applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D. (Tech) program of the Department of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, 92 Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata 700009. Candidates may apply in the prescribed application form by paying Rs.100/- through a Challan, endorsed by Head of the Department of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta. A maximum of 53 Ph. D. students may be accommodated with reservations as per the University rules. The allocation of the supervisors will be finalized by the Department (see CU website link for the areas on which research is carried out in this department). Candidates having an M.Sc. / 4-year B.E. or B.Tech. / post-B.Sc 3 year B.Tech degree will have to appear in a written admission test followed by an interview. Candidates having M.Tech / M.Phil degrees or who have passed NET / GATE / SLET / SET / equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and are entitled directly to appear at the interview.

The last date for accepting application form is March 31, 2013 at 12:00 noon.

A one hour written examination will be held on April 18, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Department of Radio Physics and Electronics, 92, A.P.C. Road, Kolkata 700 009 and the question will be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on fundamentals of physics, electronics and communication.

Applications are invited for admission to the Ph. D. Program of the Department of Chemistry, CU. Candidates willing to pursue their research work, leading subsequently to Ph. D. (Sc.) Degree of the University of Calcutta, should apply in the format given below after paying Rs. 100/- in the University

In this connection, a written MCQ Examination of 1 hour duration will be held in the department on April 16, 2013 at 12 Noon. This will be based on B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. Syllabi of this University.
Separate sets of questions will be there to suit the specializations of the candidates. The choice of specialization for examination purpose will rest on the student and is not restricted to his / her discipline of research.
Successful candidates will be called for an interview/ counseling on the same day at 3:00 p.m. in the department. The final selection will be made on the basis of the overall performance of the candidates.
At present, approximately a maximum of 20 students will be taken for the Ph. D. Program. The
allocation of a supervisor for a selected student shall be decided by the departmental committee, depending on the number of students working under the supervision of each supervisor, the available specialization among the faculty supervisors, the research interest of the student as indicated during the interview by the student and, finally, in consultation with the respective student and the faculty member
Candidates who already cleared the NET/SET/SLET/ GATE/Teacher Fellowship/equivalent examination, or passed the M. Phil. / M. Tech. / equivalent examination, need to appear at the interview directly, skipping the written test.

ELIGIBILITY:
Admission to the all programmes is subjected to applicants’ fulfilling eligibility conditions for various programmes as notified in the respective Universities’ websites (refer link : http://www.cucet2013.co.in) Applicants awaiting results in the qualifying examination may also apply. However, their admission will be subject to their passing and getting the minimum eligible marks in the qualifying examination, the proof of which shall be submitted before the last date fixed for the completion of the admission formalities by the Universities concerned. The candidates belonging to the SC/ST community will get relaxation of 5% in the minimum requirement prescribed by the concerned University.

APPLICATIONS:
I. ONLINE MODE:
Students are required to apply online through www.cucet2013.co.in 
Pre-Requisites for Applying Online:


1) E-mail ID: Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active till the completion of the examination and admission process. Registration Number and Password will be generated and email intimation will be sent to the candidate's email ID specified in the online application form.
In case a Candidates does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create a new e-mail ID before applying online
2) Mobile No: Candidates are required to have a valid Mobile No. It should be kept active till the completion of the exam process. Registration Number and Password will be generated and sms intimation will be sent to the Candidate's Mobile Number specified in the online application form.

Payment of Fees: Payments can be made through online or offline 
(1) General / OBC Candidates:

Rs.500/-for One program; Rs.600 for two programs; Rs.700 for three program

(2) SC/ST/PWD Candidates:

Rs.250/-for One program; Rs.300 for two programs; Rs.350 for three program

Online Mode of Payment:
Students can make payment online using Debit / Credit card powered by Master or Visa as well as using the Net Banking User ID / Password. Retain your Registration No. and Password for further reference
