Faculty of Management Studies under Banaras Hindu University has invited applications for admission to MBA Courses of 2011-12 in the following specializations:

Candidates applying for the courses should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. For SC/ST candidates, 45% marks is required.

Candidates should also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in CAT 2010. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2011 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2011.

Selection will be made strictly on the basis of the combined Merit acquired by a candidate in CAT 2010 of IIM, Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU.

Candidates who possess a recognized Masters Degree in the subject concerned or in the related subjects or subjects specified by the Departments with not less than 55% marks /B+ Grade of the University or equivalent Degree of any other Indian or Foreign Universities recognized by SSUS are eligible to apply for the above research programmes. Candidates who possess the M.Phil Degree of this University with B+ Grade or equivalent M.Phil Degree of other Universities recognized by the university will be admitted for the Direct Ph.D Programme.

Admission to the Integrated M.Phil/ Ph.D programme shall be on the basis of an entrance examination conducted by the SUS.

UGC-JRF holders, the teachers of the University and teachers of Government and Aided colleges with a minimum of two published works in recognized research journals and the candidates with M.Phil are exempted from the entrance examination.

Admission to the Direct Ph.D Programme will be through an interview conducted by the Research Committee of the concerned department. Interview will be based on the written research proposal of the candidate.

Applications in the prescribed form have been invited from the candidates who have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship in the University Grants Commission/CSIR NET Examination for the award of UGC-JRFs in Science and Humanities including Social Sciences under 'at any one given time basis scheme' in the Kerala University.

The tenure of Fellowship is for five years. The value of the JRF is Rs.12,000/- p.m. for first two years with an annual contingent grant of Rs.12,000/- p.a. for Science and Rs.10,000/- per annum for Humanities including Social Sciences and HRA as per university rules.

The value of the Junior Research Fellowship will be enhanced to Rs.14,000/- p.a. for the third year and subsequent years after assessment of the research work done by the fellows, on completion of a period of two years in the manner prescribed by the commission.

Eligibility for PGD Entrance Examination 2010-2011:-
1.      The candidate must have passed the degree of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) from the University of Delhi or from any other University established by - law and recognized by Central Council of Homoeopathy; after undergoing a course of study of five years and six months duration including one year compulsory Internship which must be completed by 31st July 2010 and should have obtained permanent registration from the State Council/ Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine.
2.      Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Graded Degree) or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Act after undergoing a course of study of not less than two years' duration.

Distribution of Seats:-
50% of the total seats in homoeopathic Post Gradute Courses per specially are reserved for candidates who have passed BHMS Degree from the University of Delhi and the rest 50% of the total seats are open to the candidates who have passed BHMS Degree from other Recognized Universities in India except Delhi University.

Specializations and the eligibility criteria for admission are as follows:

Biological Sciences: Masters degree in Biological/Chemical/Physical Sciences or MBBS. 60% marks or equivalent is desirable. Qualifying in one of the following national level tests with validity as on 1st of January 2011: CSIR-UGC-JRF/DBT-JRF/GATE/ICMR JRF. The second requirement (qualifying in a national test) is waived for applicants interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in ecological sciences. They will however be required to appear for a written screening test at IISER-TVM and only those shortlisted based on the screening will be allowed to appear for the interview.

(Research Areas - Microbial Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Cancer Biology, Ecology and Evolution, and Plant Biology)

Chemical Sciences: Masters degree in Chemistry. 60% marks or equivalent is desirable. Qualifying in one of the following national level tests with validity as on 1st of January 2011: CSIR-UGC-JRF/GATE.

Physical Sciences: Masters degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering or Technology in areas closely related to the interests of the physics faculty at IISER TVM. 60% marks or equivalent is desirable. Mathematical Sciences: 1. Master's degree in Mathematics / Statistics / in a relevant area of science with desired CPI of 6.5 (or 60% of marks) and a valid CSIR UGC-JRF/NBHM/GATE/INSPIRE (PhD) as on 1st January 2011.

2. Master's degree in Engineering / Technology in a relevant area with desired CPI of 6.5 (or 60% of marks) with valid GATE score as on 1st January 2010.

3. Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology in a relevant area with a desired CPI of 7.0 (or 65% of marks), an appearance in the Indian National Math Olympiad (INMO) in class XI or XII, and a valid CSIRUGC-JRF/NBHM/GATE/INSPIRE (PhD) as on 1st January 2011.

Eligibility criterion will be relaxed by CPI of 0.5 (or 5% of marks) for SC/ST candidates.

All India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, will be conducted on 30-01-2011 (Online) and 13-02-2011(Offline).

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master's degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master's degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, has invited applications for admission to Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) in the following disciplines:

The fellowship covers all academic expenses (consisting of tuition, computer, library, placement, and alumni fees) and living expenses (comprising medical insurance, boarding and lodging). In addition, a student will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 17,250/- (including food allowance).

Candidates having any of the following qualification are eligible to apply for the FPM:

a) a Masters degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks OR
b) with a bachelors degree/ equivalent qualification with at least 50 percent marks obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent OR

Specializations and the eligibility criteria for admission are as follows:

Biological Sciences: Masters degree in Biological/Chemical/Physical Sciences or MBBS. 60% marks or equivalent is desirable. Qualifying in one of the following national level tests with validity as on 1st of January 2011: CSIR-UGC-JRF/DBT-JRF/GATE/ICMR JRF. BEML Scholarship shall be awarded to deserving SC/ST students who are studying in 1st year of full-time Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production disciplines only and who have secured 60% of marks in aggregate in respect of SC students and 55% of marks in aggregate in respect of ST students in the PUC/INTERMEDIATE.

Faculty of Management Studies under University of Delhi has invited applications for admission through Entrance Test to the following programmes commencing in July 2011:

1.  PhD (Management)
2.  Two-year MBA (Full-Time)
3.  Two-year MBA-Management of Services (MS)
4.  Three-year MBA (Part-Time)
5.  Three-year MBA (PT) Health Care Administration

ELIGIBILITY: (Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility will be allowed to candidates of all reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/CW) in all MBA programmes.)

1) To be eligible for admission to the PhD programme, a candidate must have obtained a Master's/ M. Phil degree of the University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or any postgraduate degree in an allied subject recognized as equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research. She/ he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the M.Phil degree or a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Master's degree.

Candidates with four year or more than four year Bachelor degree viz. B.Tech or M.B.B.S and with 70% and 60% marks or equivalent grades respectively, who have obtained any national level fellowships are also eligible to apply.

2)  Candidates applying for admission to the MBA full-time programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor's Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling in any of the following disciplines. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows:
Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences- 50% , Sciences- 55%, Mathematics or Statistics- 60%
Medicine, Engineering or Technology- 60%/ CGPA of at least 6 on a scale of 10 
OR Post Graduate Degree or IInd Degree examination after 10+2+3scheme, securing at least 60%marks.

3) Candidates seeking admission to 3-year MBA programme should have passed a bachelor's degree examination of at least three years duration with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
 
Relaxation of this criterion may be made for those who scored more than 55% marks in aggregate in their post-graduate degree or at least 60% in a Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Diploma in Administrative Management of Delhi University.

Candidates should have at least three years experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial, industrial or government establishment after passing the Bachelor's Degree Examination.

4) Candidates seeking admission to MBA (Health Care Administration) programme should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination in Medicine in the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent and should have at least five years of experience in Hospital Administration after acquiring the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine.

Candidates applying to any of the FMS programmes are required to send back the acknowledgement form to Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007 on or before 15th October 2010.

Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, has invited applications for admission to Fellowship Programmes in Management  (Equivalent to Ph.D.) degree in the following nine areas for the Academic Year 2011-15:
