FIITJEE - THE PREMIER INSTITUTE FOR IIT-JEE

WHEN SHOULD YOU START PREPARING FOR IIT-JEE?

If you are a student presently in Class VI or class VII they suggest that you focus on improving your analytical skills. Therefore a serious preparation for National Talent Search Exam at the earliest will be a very healthy beginning for IIT-JEE preparation.

For students presently in class VIII
In case success in IIT-JEE is your goal and getting a good rank is your dream, they recommend you to start right form the beginning of class IX, the best time to start preparing. A four Year program for IIT-JEE preparation is highly recommended.

No doubt the best IIT-JEE preparation, given that there are only two attempts for IIT-JEE, should happen form the very beginning of class IX but it is never too late to give it your best try.

If your not sure that you would like to go for IIT-JEE or pursue a career in Engineering but wish to create a solid foundation for success in various Competitive Exams like AIIMS, CBSE-AIPMT, other medical Entrance Exams, NDA, any option other than engineering and medical in India or anywhere else in the world, you should still enroll for a program like SUPREME - Four year Integrated School Program, ASCENT Plus-Two Year Integrated School Program which can help you achieve excellent marks in board exams and enhanced analytical skills i.e. substantially improved IQ.

For students presently in class IX, best thing is to focus on improving your creativity in solving problems and lay a strong foundation for IIT-JEE preparation. Even if your change stream (i.e. go for Medical etc. after X) this preparation will help you stand out. And if IIT-JEE is your goal, just focus on IIT-JEE preparation for next 3 years.

In case you are a student presently in Class X, best thing for you is to focus on board exams and start preparing for IIT-JEE one or two weeks after the class X Boards Exams.

For students presently in Class XI - To be honest, it is difficult to start IIT-JEE preparation from scratch at this stage & succeed with good rank unless you a student who has reasonable clear fundamental of class XI and good analytical skills. You might be able to catch up with those serious brilliant students who have seriously prepared form the very beginning of class XI or earlier. You should start serious IIT-JEE preparation immediately after your class XI school exams.

At each stage, FIITJEE has programs to help you achieve optimum success making your dreams come true.

INTRODUCTION
Till date more than 700 bacterial, 60 archaea and 10 eukaryotic genomes (including human) have been sequenced and all of them are now publicly available in three major databases of the world, such as DDBJ, Japan; EMBL, Europe; and NCBI, USA. Prior to 1995, when the complete genome sequence of, Haemophilus influenzae (the first genome sequenced completely) became available, analysis of nucleotide sequences of different genes was carried out by using computer-based programs. In the post genomic era, bioinformatics has become a major thrust area of research to retrieve information from the genome sequences. Hence, bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary science of biology, mathematics (statistics) and computer science. Its implications in the area of evolution, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell and developmental biology have revolutionized these three sciences. Since, human health is a major concern, tools and programs have been developed fitting in to biological research, for which bioinformatics has become almost indispensable. At Tezpur University (Dept. of MBBT), a Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) was established in 2007 with the financial grant from the Bioinformatics Cell, Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The BIF is organizing two training programs with the major focus on giving exposure to teachers of colleges and universities, research scholars and master degree students on the usefulness of bioinformatics and its implications. The topics of discussion and hands on training to be imparted are given in details in the prospectus.
