Eligibility : Candidates for XIME’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the programme until that time. They should also complete all their degree examinations before 21st June, 2009.Such candidates are also required to provide proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks, latest by 30th September 2009.

Admission Procedure :
1. Obtain XIME Application Form & Programme Brochure
The above may be obtained from XIME on payment of Rs.750 in cash or DD favouring ‘XIME,Bangalore’ payable at Bangalore. Application forms can also be obtained from designated IMS learning centers or TIME centers. Alternatively, application form can be downloaded from the XIME website www.xime.org. Downloaded form may be filled up and sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 750/- in the form of a DD favouring ‘XIME, Bangalore’. Issuing application form begins : October 22, 2008.

2. Registration for XAT
Candidates also need to register and appear for XAT 2009 conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on an all India basis at different centres on January 04, 2009.

XIME is an Associate Member for this Test

3. Registration for XIME Admission
Applicants desirous of joining XIME need to obtain the prescribed application form and register for admission.
They should have appeared for the XAT admission test conducted by XLRI.
CAT candidates are also considered.
Applicants should indicate the XAT/CAT score for the year in the application form (if received). If scores are not received at the time of filling up the application,a copy of the score card must be sent by email / post so as to reach XIME latest by February 12, 2009. Otherwise the application will not be considered.

Fee Structure :
The programme fee (covering Admission, Tuition, Library, Computer Centre, Establishment,Text Books, Examinations, Diploma, Activities and Alumni Association Membership) is to be paid in eight instalments as indicated below:

First Year :
Rs. 2,20,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 55,000, 55,000, 55,000 and 55,000)

Second year :
Rs. 2,30,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 60,000, 60,000, 55,000 and 55,000) Dates for payment of fees will be announced at the beginning of the year.

Caution Deposit :
A one time caution deposit of Rs. 15,000 is payable at the time of admission, which is refundable at the end of the programme, after deducting dues to XIME, if any.

Additional Charges Payable
The Hostel Fees payable by each student will be approximately Rs. 5,000 per month which includes loadging,boarding, electricity and water charges.
Students are expected to stay in the hostels, unelss exempted for any special reasons.

Lap Top : It is necessary for every student to possess a laptop PC. The institute will happy to arrange for the supply of the same, ensuring the required feature specifications of XIME. Alternatively the student himself can arrange for the same. The cost of the laptop is estimated to be about Rs.40000.

Fees must be paid on time. Delayed payments will attract penalty.
Fees once paid are not refundable.
Even in the case of a student’s failure / termination or withdrawal from the programme, no refund of fees will be made.

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2009
National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CBS have been started by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programs of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. The test is conducted in more than 25 centers across India.

1. Eligibility: Students securing at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India are eligible to apply. For Scheduled Cast (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%. Students who have passed the Class XII qualifying examination in 2007 or 2008 or are appearing in 2009 are eligible to apply. ( Where only Letter grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admissions Committee will be final.)

2. Age Limit: General category candidates and Candidates belonging to Other Backward Castes (OBC) born on or after 01 Oct. 1984 are eligible to apply. For SC/ST/PD candidates the age limit is relaxable by 5 years. In any case, the eligibility criterion mentioned in point 1 above must be satisfied.

3. Number of Seats and Reservation: The details of number of seats and their break-up as per statutory government norms is given in the website of NISER (http://niser.ac.in/NEST) and UM-DAE CBS (http://www.tifr.res.in/~cbs). This year (2009), the number of seats is 52 at NISER and 30 at UM-DAE CBS. The admission will be very selective and students who are highly motivated to pursue higher education and research in science and its applications are likely to be selected.

4. Application Fee: Application fee for appearing in NEST is Rs. 500/- for general category and OBC male candidates. For SC/ST/PD candidates and female candidates the amount is Rs.250/-. The application fee should be sent to Chief Coordinator, NEST-2009 in the form of a demand draft in favour of NISERNEST payable at Bhubaneswar.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Process Outsourcing (“P.G.D.L.P.O.”) has been developed by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (“IGNOU”) and Rainmaker. This one-year distance-learning diploma programme, the first, and only one of its kind in the country, aims to prepare students for the fast-growing outsourced legal services sector. Aim
The P.G.D.L.P.O. seeks to train law graduates to ensure a perfect fit in existing legal practices in India, focusing on the outsourced legal services industry. The P.G.D.L.P.O. aims to satisfy needs at two levels: at the employee level, to aid law graduates in enhancing their employability, and at the industry level, so that employers can be assured of the quality of their prospective recruits.
Duration
This programme is divided into two semesters over the course of a year. This programme will take students through certain fundamental areas of learning that are crucial for any lawyer desirous of joining this exciting sector of the legal industry.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PGDM & PGDM-IB
A consistent academic record in class X & XII.
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+3 system from a University recognized by AICTE/AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. However, such candidates must produce a certificate* from the Principle/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the institution/university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year/is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks based on latest available grades/marks.

Students with work experience will be preferred for both the programmes viz PGDM & PGDM-IB.

Applicants who hold a valid MAT/CAT/GMAT score are eligible to apply.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
IIM/AIMA has no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the PGDM/PGDM-IB Programmes.

Students with valid CAT/MAT/GMAT scores and those intending to take the AT/MAT/GMAT exam in '08/'09 may also apply.Apply to IFIM

Short-listed candidates will be called to participate in the Group Discussions and Personal Interviews at designated test centres: For details please refer to the insert captioned 'Admission Calendar’.

Final selection will be based on ‘composite parameters’ to include: the MAT/CAT/GMAT scores, consistent academic record in Class X and XII, overall personality, eassy in the application form and the extra/co-curricular activities, work experience (if any) and performance in the Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

Those with academic distinctions and/or extra-curricular activities and/or substantial work experience will be given additional weightage.

Since the CAT/MAT/GMAT score is only an input in the selection process, it is possible for a candidate with a lower CAT/MAT/GMAT score to be selected for GD/PI and to be offered admission, in preference to a candidate with a higher CAT/MAT/GMAT score on account of better performance in other criteria.

IFIM Business School reserves the absolute right to assign and/or re-assign students from the PGDM Programme to the PGDM-IB Programme or vice versa depending upon the availability of a vacancy and/or suitability for the programme and/or at the specific request of a student and/or broader institutional considerations and/or any other overriding and/or unanticipated considerations.
