An ongoing National Program of Fellowships in Basic Sciences to attract exceptionally motivated students to pursue research career in Basic Sciences.

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PURSUING BASIC SCIENCE COURSES AND CAREER IN RESEARCH


The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships        (Rs. 5,000/- to Rs.7,000/- p.m.) and contingency grants (equivalent to four months fellowship per annum) to students studying in 1st year program in basic science course such as B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./    B. Math./Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. Selection to the program considers the academic excellence to take up research career in Basic Sciences.


•Eligibility for Stream SA: Due to prevailing COVID-19 situation, as one-time measure, students who have passed X Standard Board Examination and eligible to enroll in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2021-22, are eligible to appear for the aptitude test. The student should produce a study certificate of XI class once they are selected as a provisional KVPY fellow. Moreover, the fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join for an under graduate course in Basic Science (B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2023-24 after having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE Subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination. During the interim period of one year they will be invited for the National Science Camp (Vijyoshi) and their travel expenses and local hospitality will be met by KVPY.


•Eligibility for Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2021–22 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) during the academic year 2022–23. The Fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join for an undergraduate course in Basic Science (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2022-23 after having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII standard Board Examination.


•Eligibility for Stream SB: Due to prevailing COVID-19 situation, as one-time measure, students who have passed XII Board Examination and eligible to enroll in the 1st year of B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. during the academic year 2021–22 are eligible to appear for the aptitude test. The student should produce a study certificate of 1st year B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. once they are selected as a provisional KVPY fellow. Moreover, the fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join an undergraduate program in Basic Science (B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int.M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2021-22 and secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in Science Subjects in 1st year of B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. 


• Empowerment initiative in the KVPY Fellowship Program: 

I For students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe:- A certain number of fellowships exclusively for the meritorious SC/ST students under the various streams as stated above will be operated.

II For Persons With Disabilities:- A certain number of fellowships under various streams as stated above will be operated for deserving Persons With Disabilities Physically and Visually challenged students.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Applications are invited from Indian Nationals. However, as per the interim order (Final Order awaited) of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka OCI/PIO Students will be allowed to write the KVPY Aptitude Test 2021.

• The KVPY fellowship is available to the students who have enrolled as a regular student of UG Program in Basic Science course in any College/Institution of a University recognized in India.

• An extended merit list of approximately 5,000 candidates will be prepared in addition to the list of KVPY fellows. Rank certificates will be available to the candidates in the extended list. However, the candidates in the extended list are not eligible for KVPY fellowship.

• Students may apply Online at http://www.kvpy.iisc.ac.in by clearly indicating the stream (i.e., SA/SX/SB).


APPLICATION FEE: For General category Rs. 1,250/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred and fifty only) and Rs. 625/- (Rupees six hundred twenty five only) for Students belonging to SC/ST/Persons With Disabilities. Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

• KVPY reserves the right to postpone the aptitude test due to any reason, including the prevailing situation arising from the COVID19 pandemic.

• A computer based online version of the aptitude Test will be conducted at the selected cities.

• For the benefit of students, a Mock Test of KVPY aptitude Test for Online mode of examination is also available.

A two year full time MBA program affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore and approved by AICTE, a government body responsible for proper planning and coordinated development of technical education system throughout the country. SNGIMS integrates a healthy blend of methodologies in imparting holistic nourishment to young managers in the making. Our teaching system is based on Case Study Model where the individual topic is discussed based on the industry cases. This allows the students to connect the topic to real time problems faced by various Industry sectors. Each student is allowed to present individual cases to other students. Curriculum follows a daily regime of 6 hours of class room session including career development exercise and mentoring session.

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category – only Tamil Nadu Candidates) in the qualifying degree examination.

Aeronautical Society of India etc., recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.5.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates.


Tamil Nadu Candidate should have written TANCET Exam & opt Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Management Studies(Counselling Code – 478) through TANCET Counselling for admission under Government Quota

Students of other states or candidates not written TANCET Exams should have written CET Examination conducted by Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science & Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu

Steps for Offline application process for NIMS University


Passport Size Photograph: The dimensions of the photograph should be 3.5 x 4.5cm width. Scanned photograph should be in jpg, gif, png, jpeg, bmp format for online submission.

Attach Class X mark sheet or other qualifying marksheet as applicable. Scanned mark sheet should be in jpg, gif, png, jpeg, bmp, pdf format for online submission.

The Gopal Narayan Singh University shall conduct Ph.D. Admission Entrance Test (GPAT) 2021 during the 2021 for admission to Ph.D. Programme in various disciplines. Admission will be made on merit of the University Entrance Test subject to fulllment of other eligibility requirements for which candidate has applied.


Mode of Payment of Application Processing/Entrance Test Fee Candidate is required to fill up the GPAT 2021 Application Form ONLINE. After the candidate has filled up the application form online, he/she will have following options for payment of Application Processing/Entrance Test Fee:

Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance Test portal.

FOREIGN CANDIDATES

A. The degree possessed by the foreign candidates shall be considered by the EQUIVALENCE COMMITTEE of the concerned faculty before their admission.

B. English Prociency certicate of TOEFL (minimum 70 marks) or IELTS (Minimum 6 bands) score is mandatory for Foreign candidates at the time of submission of application form for the admission to a Ph.D. Programme in the University. In absence of these scores/certificate or English Proficiency certificate, the candidate shall have to appear in the English Prociency test to be conducted by Ofce of the Controller of Examinations of the Gopal Narayan Singh University.

C. The admission of foreign nationals under ICCR Scholarship Scheme or Selffinancing shall be made under a maximum of 15% supernumerary seats of the total available seats in a Department within the prescribed quota of Professor 8; Associate Professor 6 and Assistant Professor 4.

1) Candidate must be 17 years on or before 31/12/2021

2) Candidate must have passed Std. XII (HSC or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually with minimum 45% marks in PCB, 5 % relaxation of marks for backward class categories.


Eligibility Criteria: (For B. Pharmacy) –

1) Candidate must be 17 years on or before 31/12/2021.

2) Candidate must have passed Std. XII or equivalent Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology individually with minimum 45% in PCB / PCM / PCMB, 5 % relaxation of marks for Backward class categories.


Eligibility Criteria: (For B. Sc. Perfusion Technology , B. Sc. Medical Imaging Technology & B.Sc. Critical Care) – 

1) Candidate must be 17 years on or before 31/12/2021

2) The candidate must have passed 10+2, or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
