Eligibility criterion:
a) Educational Qualifications: Essential: High School / Matriculation or any other Examination equivalent to Secondary Examination after a period of 10 years study; Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates working as Old Age Care Givers, Health Workers, Counsellors, Social Workers, Home Care Workers, Nursing Assistants, Professionals working in Age Care Agencies / Organisations.

Reserve Bank of India has invited applications under the ‘RBI Young Scholars Award Scheme’, aimed at encouraging learning about the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) among the youth of the country. This is a major awareness and sensitization exercise on the role of the Reserve Bank and the banking system across the country, which is expected to expose youngsters to an actual banking and financial environment and inculcates in them, a sense of pride of having had the opportunity to associate themselves, with a prestigious organization, the central bank of the country.

Eligibility: Applicant should be of age 18 years or more but less than 23 years as on September 1, 2011, should have completed the 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized Institutions/Boards in 2011 or before and should be currently pursuing their Undergraduate studies. Those who have enrolled for or having acquired Degree(s) higher than Graduation are not eligible. Those who have qualified and worked at RBI as a Young Scholar in any of the previous years are also not eligible to apply.

Number of Scholarships: A maximum of 150 young scholars would be awarded scholarship of which, a maximum of 50 may be selected through a test conducted in English medium and up to a maximum 100, selected on regional basis through a test conducted in vernacular medium.

Placements & Project Assignment: Selected All India candidates and Regional Candidates will be placed at the nearest Regional Office designated for the purpose, depending on the size of the office. They will be required to work within the RBI on Projects/Assignments allocated to them by the respective Regional Director of RBI, which is expected to be completed in a reasonable time, subject to a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 3 calendar months. The examination of approximately 90 minutes duration will have objective type multiple choices questions related to role and functioning of the RBI, the trend of banking industry in India and general economic and financial environment of the country. How to Apply: Application can be submitted online till December 16, 2011, using the link http://www.rbi.org.in/youngscholars.aspx as per the instructions there. There is no fee for application or examination. Applicant should have a valid email ID. After applying online, the registered candidates should obtain a system generated printout of the registered information and preserve the same to enable generation of call letters online.

Call Letter: Call letters for the examination can be downloaded from RBI website on or after January 12, 2012 using Application registration number which will be sent by e-mail to the candidates who provide a valid email-id. Call letters can be downloaded from RBI’s website by entering the registration number & password or date of birth. After downloading the call letter, applicant should paste a recent photograph on the call letter and sign across it before appearing for the examination.

Three copies of the same photograph affixed on the call letter should be retained for use at the time of written examination. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the selection process is complete. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of written test may lead to disqualification. Call letters will not be despatched by post or courier.

Final selection of candidates is subject to his/her being medically fit as per the requirement of the RBI. Selected candidates, at the time of reporting, should submit Attested photocopies of all the certificates in support of educational qualification, date of birth and caste/disability (if any). SC/ST/OBC category should submit an attested copy of their caste certificate issued by the competent authority and also produce original caste certificate / relevant certificates.

(i) For Engineers: Candidates studying in the Final Year of Engineering Degree and who are qualified graduates of the Degree Course in Engineering will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of the Degree Course must possess Engineering Degree at the time of joining training. The candidates studying in the final year of Degree Course, if not already in possession of the Degree Certificate should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA. Such candidates will be inducted for training at IMA on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

(ii) For Army Education Corps: MA / MSc Degree in 1st or 2nd division from a university recognized by AIU in English / Economics / History / Music / Geography / Political Science / Physics & Math.

(iii) For Military Farm: A degree in dairying or a degree in Agriculture from a recognized university with dairying as one of the subjects or an equivalent foreign qualification in Agriculture (Preference will be given to those who hold MSc degree or have carried out research in Dairying of Fodder Crops).

Conditions of Eligibility:
(a) Nationality:
A candidate must either be
(i) a citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan origin but of Indian domicile, whose parents entered India as refugees prior to 1st January 1962 with intention of Permanently settling in India.
(v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambi, Malawai, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of Permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidate who are Gorkha subject of Nepal.

(b) Candidates withdrawn from IMA / OTA / Naval Academy / Air Force Academy on disciplinary ground are not eligible to apply.

Physical Standards:
(i) Height & Weight: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Aesamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.

(ii) Visual Standards: The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation.

(iii) To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.

(b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you click on each field.
(c) While filling online application it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available as details are to be filled as per matriculation and other educational certificates.
(d) Before clicking the submit button it should be checked whether all details entered in the form are correct as you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record
(e) After submitting the form and acknowledgement of successful submission generated roll number and the buttons of print and save the application will appear. It is advisable to first save the online application and then take a print out.
(f) After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain two copies of the application printout. Requisite qualifications for admission to Medical / Dental PG Degree and Diploma courses:

The candidate seeking admission to these courses should have passed Final MBBS / Final BDS examinations from a college recognized by Medical Council /Dental Council of India, and should have completed the compulsory rotating internship/would be completing by 30th of April 2012.
As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post-Graduate regulations 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Medical Post-Graduate courses shall be 50 % for all candidates and the eligibility will be 40% for SC, ST, category-I & OBC as per Karnataka state regulation.

Those appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided they produce the proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualifications at the time of counselling/admission> If the 12th class/final year/final semester (as the case may be) result of qualifying Degree/Certificate examination is not declared by the concerned Board/University till the date of counselling/admission, his/her admission in that case will be strictly provisional subject to the conditions specified in the Prospectus.

Reservation of Seats: The seats reserved for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates (PHP) in each programme are as follows. SC-15%; ST-7.5%; OBC (Non-Creamy) 27%; Physically Handicapped 3% Horizontal reservation (with 40% or more disability) for physically handicapped candidates cutting across all sections.

Foreign Nationals/ 15% (supernumerary) SAARC/NRI State Domiciles 20% (supernumerary). Category once filled up in the application form will not be changed at any stage.

The qualifying candidates need to meet the eligibility and admission requirements of NIFT. Details are available in the Prospectus.

Application: Prospectus along with Application Form will be available till 5th January, 2012, at selected branches of Axis Bank and IDBI Bank across India, on payment of Rs.250/-. Candidates have to submit a Demand Draft along with the filled up Application. Candidates belonging to General/OBC Category are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology', payable at New Delhi, along with the NIFT Application Form filled-in manually. Candidates (General/OBC Category) applying online are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.1,250/- along with the print-out of the filled-in online NIFT Application Form. Candidates belonging to SC/ST or Person with Disabilities Category are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology' payable at New Delhi, along with the NIFT Application Form filled-in manually. Candidates (SC/ST/PHP Category) applying online are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.750/- along with the print-out of the filled-in online. Demand Draft may be taken from one of the Branches listed on Page 47 of the Prospectus.

Application Form, complete in all respects, along with Demand Draft should reach ‘The Project Manager-CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003’, latest by 10th January, 2012.

On the basis of information given in the NIFT Application Form, Admit Card for the Written examination, of provisionally eligible candidates will be despatched to the address mentioned in the Application Form by 28th January, 2012. In case of non-receipt of Admit Cards, the candidates can download the Admit Card from the NIFT website http://www.nift.ac.in on or before 11th February, 2012. On such downloaded admit cards, the candidates are required to affix their photograph (similar to that affixed on the Application Form) on the downloaded Admit Card and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer/School or College Principal for producing at the Examination Centre. Candidate without admit card or downloaded admit card without the photograph and attestation will not be permitted to appear in the written entrance examination.

The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted. The objective type tests are subject to negative marking at the rate of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

The Written Entrance Examination may consist of Creative Ability Test (CAT), Managerial Ability Test (MAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), depending on the Programme.

For admission to B Des, GAT will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and CAT from 2 pm to 5 pm on 12th February, 2012.

For admission to B.F.Tech, GAT will be from 10 am to 12 noon and MAT from 2 pm to 4 pm on 12.2.2012

For M.Des, GAT will be from 10 am to 12 noon and CAT from 2 pm to 5 pm.

For M.F.M, GAT will be from 10 am to 12 noon and MAT, from 2 pm to 4pm.

For M.F.Tech, GAT will be from 10 am to 12 noon and MAT, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Result will be announced on 30th March, 2012. The Situation Test/ GD/ Interviews will be held in April-May, 2012. The final results will be declared by end of May, 2012/June, 2012. This will be followed by counseling to be held in June, 2012 and July, 2012.

FPM Admissions 2012-2013, Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon

Applications have been invited by Management Development Institute, Gurgaon for admission to Fellow Programme in Management (FPM / EFPM) of Academic Session 2012.

FPM / EFPM Eligibility Criteria:
1. A master's degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average recognized by AICTE /AIU with a Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) (OR)

2. Five year integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent (OR)

3. A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average (OR)

4. 4 years / 8 semester bachelor's degree (BE / BTech / BArch etc.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. Those appearing for their final examinations in the respective disciplines can also apply.

5. For EFPM, a minimum of 10 years of managerial / executive work experience with experience at senior levels is required. The minimum age for the EFPM candidate is 35 years as on 1st January 2012.

Selection Process for FPM / EFPM:
Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the CAT / GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC-JRF (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form) will be shortlisted on the basis of the details in the application form and the scores of tests as detailed below. Only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for interviews during 20-30 March 2012 at MDI Campus.

Financial Assistance for FPM students:
The FPM student shall be provided with financial assistance of Rs. 16,000/- per month for first two years and Rs. 18,000/- for next two years as scholarship, for a maximum period of four years. In addition, a contingency grant shall also be given to FPM students to support their field work, purchase of books, etc. The grant of financial assistance will be subject to satisfactory progress in the programme. In addition, the tuition fee shall be waived.
