Eligibility
Criteria:
LL.B.
(Semester System): 45% marks in aggregate in graduation or equivalent degree
recognised by Sambalpur University and age within 30 years as on 01.07.2015.
Relaxation
: 5% in marks for SC/ST candidates and 5 years in age limit for SC/ST and other
backward community candidates.
P.G.D.I.R.
& P.M.:
40% marks
in aggregate in Graduation or equivalent degree recognised by Sambalpur
University

prospectus for admission for above courses will be available from LAJPAT RAI
LAW COLLEGE, SAMBALPUR-768 001 on working days between 10 AM to 1 PM on payment
Rs.300/- and Rs.200/- respectively or can be downloaded from

or can also be obtained by Registered
Post on Payment of an additional amount of Rs.50/-. Downloaded form should
accompany a bank draft with requisite fee drawn in favour of ?The Principal,

Applications are invited online from the Intending
Candidates for Ph.D. eligibility under various faculties of the Sambalpur
University for the session 2015 (Course Work to be started from January, 2015)
Online application may be registered in the website: www.suniv.ac.in
Eligibility:
Masters Degree holders in Arts, Science, Commerce,
Management, Education, Law & Medical (Allopathy, Ayurvedic &
Homeopathy), Engineering & Technology Examinations of Sambalpur University
or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by UGC with at least
2nd Class marks in relevant subjects) are eligible for enrolment in Ph.D.
programme. Subjects in which the marks are not awarded, equivalent grade shall
be taken into account. The examination (objective type) will be held on
26.10.2014 (SUNDAY) in Sambalpur University campus at Jyoti Vihar.
The subjects offered for the current session along
with the vacancy is given below.
Anthropology(01), Physics(04), Mathematics(04),
Chemistry(16), Environmental Science(01), Environmental Science &
Engg.(01), Life Science(03), Microbiology(03), Biotechnology(01), Botony(01),

Ayurvedic(13), Geography(05), Lib. & Inf. Science(01), Law(13),

The following category of candidates shall be
exempted from appearing at the Written Test.
a. Candidates who have qualified in UGC/CSIR(NET),
GATE and such examination conducted by ICAR, ICMR
and other National Bodies.
b. Teachers who have a minimum of five years of
teaching experience in the Degree Colleges/University level.
c. Those who have a minimum of five years of
professional experience.
d. Candidates having M. Phil. Degree of Sambalpur
University or recognized University with course work.
Candidates, not exempted, have to appear at the
written test on 16.10.2014 (SUNDAY) and must secure a minimum of 50% marks in
the test, to be eligible for appearing at the Viva-Voce test at the Nodal
centre for the subject
The final selection of all qualified candidates
shall be based on career (80%) and Viva-Voce (20%) which will be conducted by
the respective Nodal Centres on pre-notified date. All such selected candidates
shall be eligible to enroll in Ph.D. Course Work equivalent to 1s Semester of
M.Phil. in the Nodal Centre. A candidate securing a minimum of 6.5 Grade Point
in the Course Work shall be eligible for Ph.D. registration under Sambalpur
University.

ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA
A
candidate should have passed three year degree examinations in arts / science /
commerce / Law (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. / LLB) from Sambalpur University or any
equivalent examination from a UGC recognized University. He/She is required to
obtain Honours in the concerned subject or atleast 45% in aggregate in the same
examination where the said subject is a "Pass" subject. Details of

For
students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the prescribed
qualifying marks for admission to P.G. Courses / Self-financing Courses shall
not be insisted upon.
Candidates
who have appeared at the qualifying examinations and results thereof awaited,
are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should
produce the results of the qualifying examination on or before the date of
entrance test otherwise their applications for admission shall be rejected.
HOW
TO APPLY
>
The candidates should download the Prospectus for P.G. Regular or
Self-financing Courses, 2014-15.
> The candidates should download the Challan Form and deposit Rs.500/-
in any branch of State Bank of India towards processing fee. The bank will
provide a Journal No. against the deposit.
>
The candidates should then register himself/herself (through the
appropriate link) by providing the following information;

candidate should carefully note down those for future use.
> The candidates can then fillup the form
online. After completion of all the fields in the form, the candidates should
click the submit button. At this a page will open with all the information of
the candidates that he/she has filled in. The candidates then must take a
printout of this page and send/submit it to the respective Head of the
Department or the Course Coordinator of respective Self-financing Course as the
case may be, Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar-768019, Sambalpur (ODISHA) along
with the required documents latest by 18.06.2014

Applications in the prescribed forms are invited from the intending candidates for admission in the following MPhil Courses of Sambalpur University for the academic session - 2012 (January 2012 to December 2012) in the following specialisations:
Anthropology / Chemistry / Earth Sciences / Economics / English / Environmental Science / History/ Home Science / Lib. & Inf. Science1 / Life Sciences / Mathematics / Oriya / Physics / Political Science / Public Administration / Sociology / Statistics
Eligibility:
(a) (i) Master Degree in subject concerned with 55% marks in the aggregate or having secured an overall grade point average fOGPA) equivalent to 55% of marks by conversion.
(ii) The minimum qualifying mark in case of inservice candidates shall be 50% in the aggregate for admission into MPhil, course in Library & information Science.
(b) Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examinations and results thereof awaited, are also eligible to apply. However they have to submit the Provisional Certificate & Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination within ten days after publication of result of Sambalpur University or on or before the Entrance Test schedule whichever is later failing which their cases for selection shall not be considered. The selection of admission into the above courses will be made through an Entrance Test which will be held on 17.12.2011 in the respective PG Departments. Admit Cards to eligible candidates will be issued by the respective PG Departments in due course.

Last date of submission of applications form for the above courses:
The application duly filled in along with a cross Bank Draft/Bankers Cheque / Manager's Cheque for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of the Chairman, PG Council, payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti-Vihar towards fee for Entrance Test shall be submitted in person or by Registered Post / Speed Post to the Chairman, PG Council, Sambalpur University, Jyoti-Vihar on or before 03.12.2011 by 4.00 pm.
Candidates who are submitting the downloaded forms are required to enclose a cross Demand Draft of Rs.400/- in favour of the Chairman, PG Council drawn on the SBi, Jyoti Vihar Branch.
