Admission in JICM requires a bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by Association of Indian Universities. Candidates appearing for final examination towards bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

JICM will admit its first batch of students in the year 2009. For the first batch the process of admission adopted is as follows:

* Selection is based on JICMET (The JICM Entrance Test). JICMET will comprise of Oral Presentation (OP) and Personal Interaction (PI).

The research activity in the Institute centers around the areas of theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, nuclear physics and high energy physics.

The Predoctoral programme is designed to train fresh M.Sc. students for conducting research activities.

Eligibility: The Institute invites application for the Pre-doctoral Programme from Indian nationals having the following qualifications : –

(A) M.Sc. Physics with minimum 55% marks (in aggregate).

(B) GATE qualifiers with minimum score of 95 percentile having current validity or, CSIR / UGC- NET qualifiers (for research fellowship) within last one year.

Candidates who have qualified JEST-2009 with a minimum score of 95 Percentile need not send any application. They will be contacted directly by the Institute. If a candidate has scored less than 95 percentile in JEST-2009 but satisfies any of the criteria for GATE/NET as above, he/she should also send the application.

Candidates appearing for the final semester/ year of M.Sc., who have already qualified in GATE or CSIR/UGC-NET can also apply. They should submit the relevant proof before joining the pre-doctoral programme. In case of non-availability of the M.Sc. results at the time of joining, the admission will be treated as provisional.

Admission Procedure : All eligible candidates, whether through JEST-2009 or through application against this advertisement, will have to appear for a short written test in the morning of 18 June 2009. Result of written test will be published the same day and short-listed candidates will have to appear for interview on 18-19 June, 2009. Final merit list will be based on the scores of both the written test and the interview.

During the pre-doctoral and the first year of the Ph.D. programme, students are placed in Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) grade and are paid Rs. 12,000/- p.m. fellowship.

On completion of the Pre-doctoral programme, the students are eligible to join for research under the supervision of faculty members of the Institute, leading to the Ph.D. degree awarded by Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be university within the Department of Atomic Energy.

Two years Post Graduate Programme in Human Rights

Eligibility : Graduation (Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Agriculture / Medicine / Law / Pharmacy).

Duration : Two years.

Mode of Teaching : Through Distance Learning (DL) / Correspondence.

Reading Material : The Institute will provide a 40 volume set on human rights in a span of two years to its students for studying the various facets of human rights. MAAC took shape in 2001 with the intent to provide high quality education in 3D Animation and Visual Effects. In a short span of six years, we've grown up to a network of more than 60 academic centers spread across India and Middle East. Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) is the academic wing of Maya Entertainment Ltd.(MEL), a premier 3D Animation and Visual Effects house based in Mumbai. MEL's board consists of highly reputable names such as Intel, Enam Financial, Bhukanvala Holdings and Concept Communications etc.

SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (EEE) -2009
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and mathematics in the SRM EEE are eligible for all the BTech degree programs.
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and biology in the SRM EEE are eligible only for BTech biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, bio process engineering, food process engineering and genetic engineering programs.

B.Arch
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, having a minimum total aggregate of 60% with English and mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum NATA score of 80 out of 200.
No separate entrance examination will be conducted by SRM University. However, candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.

B.Des
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
 

Admission Procedure:
For BTech Program
Admission will be purely on the basis of the candidate's performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University
Candidates short-listed based on their performance in the entrance examination will be called for the counseling to be held at the SRM University premises in Kattankulathur, Chennai

For BArch Program
Admission to the B.Arch. program will be based on the aggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination and the NATA score
The meritorious candidate list will be drawn giving 50% weightage to aggregate of total marks secured in qualifying examination & 50% weightage to NATA score
Based on the ranking, admissions will be offered to the candidate

For BDes Program
Admission to BDes program will be purely on the basis of performance in the Higher Secondary examination. Candidates short listed based on their Higher Secondary marks will be offered admission directly.

SRM University is conducting 3 Day (18th to 20th April, 2009) selection trials for Sports Quota Admission to Engineering, Management, Science and Humanities, Hotel Management and Paramedical courses. The selection trials will be held in

Admission is based on candidate's merit, his/her preferences, facilities available and availability of seats in the discipline preferred. The merit position of the candidate will be based only on the overall aggregate secured by the candidate in the Qualifying Examination. Admissions are open to all nationalities.

Applicant must have passed the Qualifying Examination, which is the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination of Ministry of Education, UAE or Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India or its equivalent from any recognized State, National or International Board, with a minimum 60% aggregate of marks.

An objective type (MCQ) Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test (HP-CPMET-2009) for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Govt Medical/Dental colleges including Private un-aided Dental Colleges (State/Management Quota) in Himachal Pradesh for the academic session 2009-10 will be held on May 27, 2009 (Wednesday) at Shimla, Mandi, Dharamshala and Hamirpur Examination Centres for which the applications on the prescribed form from the eligible candidates are invited as available in the prospectus.

ELIGIBILITY:
For State Quota seats in Govt Medical/Dental Colleges and 50% seats in Private un-aided Dental Colleges:
1.      Children of Bonafide Himachali/Himachal Govt Employees and employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Govt, and who have passed atleast two examinations out of four ie Middle, Matric, +1 and +2 or its equivalent from the recognised school(s)/College(s) situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh only are eligible to apply for this test. However, Children of Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen/Employees of Central Govt including  UT/other  State  Govts/Employees  of Autonomous" Organisations/Semi-Govt Bodies of Central Govt, and other State Govts, or Children of Himachal Govt. Employees/Employees of wholly owned HP Govt Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies who are Bonafide Himachali and living outside the State of HP on account of their service are exempted from the condition of passing two examinations from the School(s) situated in the State of H.P. and are also eligible for this test.
2.      The Bonafide Himachali students who are admitted to Navodaya School(s) situated in Himachal Pradesh, but passed Matric or +2 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodaya School(s) in the country are also eligible to apply for this test.

For Management Quota Seats (only in Private un-aided Dental Colleges): Under this quota, there will be no domicile and schooling conditions, both Himachali and non-Himachali interested candidates can compete in the entrance test subject to fulfilment of minimum educational qualification and age as mentioned.

For Children of J&K Migrants: Who possess the minimum qualifying educational qualification and age as given can also compete in this test against the seats reserved for them.

For Children of Tibetan Refugees: Who possess the minimum qualifying educational qualification and age as given and duly sponsored by the Tibetan Govt, in Exile can also compete in this test against the seats reserved for them.

For NRI Candidates: Who are residing abroad and have passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) from abroad are not required to take the entrance test. They must fulfil the minimum educational qualification and age as given, can also apply on the prescribed application form available in the prospectus direct to the Principal(s) of the concerned Medical/Dental College(s).

Age and Educational Qualification:

Age: The candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31 st December, 2009.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations of a University/Board by law in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects which shall include a practical test with 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) provided the candidate has qualified the subject of English as an elective subject in the above examination.

Note: The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 or its equivalent examination and the result has not been declared can also apply for this test, but the admission will be subject to passing of the said examination with the required percentage at the time of 1st round of counseling.

Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test- 2009 (RPET-2009)

RPET-2009 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be in Hindi as well as in English. However, in case of any difference in Hindi & English versions of question, the questions in English version shall be treated as valid.


Reservation of Seats: As prescribed by the Govt. of Rajasthan (except in case of Private unaided Institutions and 50% seats in the self finance course of the aided institutions) the reservation of seats will be made subject to the prevalent statutory provisions of the State of Rajasthan viz. 16% for SC candidates, 12% for ST candidates and 21% for candidates belonging to non-creamy layer OBC category.

Provision will also be made for horizontal reservation of 3% for candidates belonging to physically handicap, 25% for women category and 3% for dependants of Defence Killed/Ex-servicemen / Gallantry award winners.

Reservation of girls in this category: 50% of the reserved seats in this category are earmarked for the girls.


Admission to First Year of B.TECH./ B.E. Courses for the Session 2009-2010

ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate must ensure that he / she is eligible for admission to various Governments aided and private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed and Private Universities) before filling up the RPET-2009 Application Form. If a non-eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled as soon as the mistake is detected even at later stage. Various eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech./B.E. course shall be as under:

Educational Qualification:
A.      The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. 
B.      Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech./ B.E. courses shall be as under:  Course: B.Tech./ B.E.  Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Mathematics
Any one of the Optional Subjects:  (1) Chemistry (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology
C.      Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination class XII in 2009 will be provisionally permitted to appear in RPET-2009. Such candidates will only be eligible for subsequent counseling and admission, provided they pass the class XII Examination with the subjects as mentioned in above table. However, all such candidates will have to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of submission of the prescribed Option Form; otherwise their candidature will be cancelled. 

Age: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1979 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

HOW TO APPLY:
The set of RPET form consists of the following: 
(a) RPET-2009 Application Form – It is in the form of OMR sheet which is to be filled in by the candidates using BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY in their own handwriting (Use HB pencil for darkening the circles). It should neither be folded nor to be stapled in any case.
(b) Information Booklet –This booklet consists of 32 pages. It contains Instructions, Syllabus, Sample Questions and Sample answer sheet etc., for the guidance of the candidates about RPET-2009. It is to be retained by the candidate for their own use. The candidate should read the booklet carefully before filling up the application form and note the contents of the Syllabus and Examination Scheme carefully and prepare for RPET-2009 accordingly.
(c) Acknowledgement Card - The candidate should write his/her address on it and affix postage stamps worth Rs. 6/-. The deficiency (if any) found in the application form, will also be conveyed by this acknowledgement card.
(d) One Big Envelope - Duly filled RPET-2009 OMR Application Form (with all enclosures) should be put into this envelope and sent to the Coordinator, RPET-2009, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur – 342 032 by Registered post / Speed post (not by courier). The same can also be dropped in the locked box kept in the RPET office, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur. In any case, the Application Form should not be handed over to any person. 
Note: Put the enclosure in the envelope. Do not staple them with OMR sheet. 

Cost of RPET-2009 application form:  The cost of RPET-2009 Application Form is Rs. 700/-. It also includes the RPET-2009 examination fees. 

This amount deposited for RPET-2009 is neither refundable nor transferable nor adjustable for future RPET. 

A plea that the candidate failed to receive the information for appearing in the RPET-2009 will not be accepted as a ground for the refund of this amount or any other dues. 

SUBMISSION OF RPET - 2009 APPLICATION FORM: The complete RPET - 2009 Application Form duly filled in by candidate's own handwriting shall be submitted through any one of the following modes so as to reach the RPET-2009 office, on or before 05.00 P.M. of 25th April, 2009 irrespective of the fact whether 25th April, 2009 is a working day or not.

1. 1) The University Grants Commission announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 28th June, 2009 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in 77 (seventy seven) subjects (listed under item no. 9) at 66 (sixty six) selected University Centres (listed under Item no. 10) spread across the country.

The result of the UGC-NET held on 28th December, 2008 and the one to be held on 28th June, 2009 will be made available on the UGC website : www.ugc.ac.in and shall also be published in the Employment News as and when it is declared. The candidates will not be individually intimated about their result.

2. The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Lectureship. The universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them. The award of JRF will depend on the performance of the candidate in NET. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Lectureship will not be considered for award of JRF. Candidates appearing in NET should clearly specify in the prescribed Application Form whether they are applying for both JRF & eligibility for Lectureship OR only for eligibility for Lectureship. Candidates who qualify the Test for eligibility for Lectureship will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Lecturers of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.

Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Visually Handicapped (VH)/Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates will be given such special concessions as may be decided by the Commission.

2) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP :

Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to finding their placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidates have already
joined M.Phil/Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.

UGC NET ELIGIBILITY :

i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree examination are eligible for this Test.

ii) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master's degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

iii) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
iv) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. The candidates whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No. 9, may appear in a related subject.

v) Candidates seeking concession in fee are required to submit attested copy of their OBC/SC/ST/PH/VH certificate along with their Application Forms. Other candidates are not required to submit any certificates/documents in support
of their eligibility alongwith the Application Form. Therefore, the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the Commission, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.

4) AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION :
i) Junior Research Fellowship : Not more than 28 years as on 01.06.2009. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority.

Three years' relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.

ii) Lectureship : No upper age limit.

5) EXEMPTION (ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP) :
i) For M. Phil/ Ph.D candidates: The candidates having Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for Under Graduate and Post Graduate level teaching. The candidates having M. Phil Degree in the concerned subject are
exempted from NET for Under Graduate level teaching only. The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET.

ii) For SET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for Lectureship held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, being eligible to apply for Lectureship anywhere in India. For SET held from 1st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer only in the universities/ colleges belonging to the state from where they have cleared their SET. All SET qualified candidates are also eligible to appear in NET, if they so desire.

6) EXAMINATION FEE AND MODE OF PAYMENT :
For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs.450/-; for Other Backward Classes (OBC), the fee is Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates, it is Rs. 110/-. The fee should be paid in the form of a single crossed demand draft from any Government of India Bank/Scheduled Government Bank payable at their Service Branch, New Delhi/Delhi only with six months' validity drawn in favour of the Secretary, U.G.C., New Delhi. Fee once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

7) SCHEME AND DATE OF TEST :
(i) The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will be held on 28th
June, 2009 in two separate sessions as under :

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II shall consist of short questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each of these papers will consist of a Test Booklet containing 50 objective type questions. The candidate will have to mark the response for each
question on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet provided alongwith the Test Booklet. The detailed instructions for filling up the OMR Sheet will be sent to the candidate along with the Admit Card. Paper-III will consist of only descriptive
questions from the subject selected by the candidate. The candidate will be required to attempt questions in the space provided in the Test Booklet. The format of Paper-III has been revised w.e.f. June,2005 UGC-NET and is available on the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in.

Syllabus of UGC NET Test: Syllabi for all NET subjects can be downloaded from the UGC Website www.ugc.ac.in and are also available in the libraries of all Indian universities. UGC will not send the syllabus to individual candidates.

IMPORTANT :
i) The national level Test for determining the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship/Lectureship in science subjects (Chemical Sciences; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Physical Sciences) is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Check out CSIR UGC NET The candidates in science subjects, desirous of availing UGC-JRF or obtaining eligibility for Lectureship in these subjects are advised to appear in the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship conducted by CSIR.

ii) The UGC-NET for JRF/eligibility for Lectureship will be held at the University Test Centres specified in the list under item No. 10. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHANGE OF CENTRE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Eligibility: Admission to this programme is offered on the basis of qualifying in a written test.

The candidates seeking admission can fall in two categories namely Sponsored and Non-Sponsored.

Educational Qualification

(1) Pass in 10 + 2 examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% marks in PCM aggregate. Or

With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B.Sc., with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc., from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board. Or

B.E./B.Tech or its equivalent degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE/ UGC/DEC. and

(2) Should have passed with not less than 50% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th standard or in the Degree programme conducted by a recognized Board/University.

Note1: Those appearing in eligibility educational qualification examination are also eligible to apply provided they meet all the eligibility criteria and produce the certificates to that effect.

2: The candidates with three year Diploma from a recognized polytechnic are also eligible for making application for the entrance test as the three-year polytechnic Diploma is equated with 10+2 examination and accordingly their PCM aggregate in the Diploma programme shall not be less than 55%.

Age Limit:

- Not more than 25 years

The age limit is relaxable by 2 years in case of female candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates must be medically fit as per the Maritime standard.

The National Board of Examinations was established in 1975 with the prime objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by elevating the level and establishing standards of post graduate examinations in modern medicine on an all India basis. Admission Procedure and Instructions for the Applicants

A. Admission Procedure:-

1) Eligibility:-
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Graduate in any discipline from a recognized Indian University can apply for the PGDM programme.

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Health Care & Pharmaceutical Management (PGDM(HCPM)): Candidates who have passed B.Pharma, B.Sc.(Biology, Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Life Sciences and Bio-Technology), B.E. (Bio-Medical, Bio-Technology) are eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing for final year degree examination can also apply. However, if selected, they will have to produce the proof of completion of their graduation before 31st October, 2009 failing which their admission will be cancelled and entire fee paid by them will be forfeited.

2) Admission Test:-
• PGDM candidates:- Candidates who have appeared in one of the following written aptitude tests are eligible to apply:- CAT (November, 2008), XAT (2009), ATMA (2009), MAT (September-2008 or December-2008) and MH-CET 2009.
(IIMs or any other agency conducting the above tests have no role in the selection process of IES).
• PGDM(HCPM) candidates:- If a candidate applying for PGDM(HCPM) programme has not appeared in any of the above written tests, he/she can appear for IES written test at the time of attending interview.

3) Application:- Applicant should apply online. Before filling the online application form they should go through the instructions thoroughly. After submitting the form online the candidate will be given a registration reference number which they should preserve for future transactions. Application fees of Rs.1,100/- payable through Demand Draft drawn in favour of "IES-MCRC autonomous", payable in Mumbai should reach us before the last date specified in the brochure. Applicant should write the registration reference number behind the DD/PO. No application processing fee or admission processing fee is payable. Application Forms will be available on the Institute website from 24th March 2009 to 20thApril 2009

The completed application forms should be submitted latest by 21st April 2009.

4) Selection:-
• Candidates will be called for Micro Presentation (MP) and Personal Interview (PI) based on their written aptitude Test score.

• Short-listed candidates for MP & PI will be intimated by email. Candidates can also check the website of the Institute. The Personal Interviews and Micro Presentations will be conducted in Mumbai in the first/second week of May,2009. The exact dates will be communicated to the candidates.

• Final selection will be based on the composite score in written aptitude test, past academic performance, micro presentation and interview. There will be weightage for work experience too.

• Selected candidates will have to pay the entire fee within eight days from the date of intimation sent to them, failing which the seat will be offered to the next candidate in merit.

• 15% of the total seats in PGDM are reserved for IES Management.

5) Cancellation of Admission:- For any reason if a candidate decides to cancel his/her admission after payment of fee, then the refund will be as per AICTE rules if the refund application is received till 13th June, 2009. No fee will be refunded if application for cancellation of admission is received after 13th June,2009 and the entire amount paid by the candidate will be forfeited.

6) Fee:-
• PGDM 1st year:Rs.2,00,000/- (including refundable deposit Rs.5,000/-) 2nd year:Rs.1,90,000/- plus Rs.500/- towards membership of Alumni Association

7) Scholarships :-
IES Management offers limited number and amount of scholarships to deserving candidates on the principle of merit-cum-means. The minimum amount of scholarship would be Rs.50,000/- p.a. and the maximum amount would be to the extent of annual tuition fee. A separate notification will be issued by the College in this regard and the decision of the management would be final.

8) Hostel facilities:-
IES provides limited hostel facility on first come first served basis. The hostel is located at a distance of around 3-4 km. from the institute. The programme fee mentioned above does not include hostel fee.

9) Information on Micro Presentation:-
Candidates will be required to give a small presentation of five minutes on any topic of their choice. Presentation will be followed by a two minutes question answer session. Candidates can give presentation with or without LCD overhead projector. Arrangement will be made for the projector, Micro presentation will be used for assessing communication skills, presentation skills and subject knowledge of the candidates.

They should also write the maximum GPA out of which they have scored (eg: 4.25 GPA out of 5 or 7.5 GPA out of 10). Against 'Bachelor's Degree' column the applicant should write the title of the degree viz. BE / B.Tech./ B.Com./ B/Sc., etc.
8) Outstation candidates should clearly mention about his/her requirement of hostel facility. Also he/she must give complete and correct name and address of the local guardian.

MBBS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS in the subject concerned or diploma of national board of examination. The Government of India in the Ministry of Health set up a Committee known as the "Health Survey and Planning Committee" on 12th June, 1959 to undertake the review of the development that had taken place since the publication of the report of Health Survey and Development Committee (Bhore Committee) in 1946 with a view to formulate further health programmes for the country in the third and subsequent five year plan periods. It is hereby informed that in view of Parliamentary elections and clash of dates of other Medical Entrance Examinations, the BHU PMT-2009 Screening Test has again been postponed and will now be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 between 9.30 AM and 12.30 PM at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad Centres.

Further, PMT-2009 Main Test for MBBS course will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 between 9.30 AM and 12.30 PM at Varanasi Centre only instead of Sunday June 28th 2009 as reported earlier.

Please also note that distribution of seats in B.Pharm., Institute of Technology, selected through BHU PMT—2009 Screening Test has been revised and would be as follows
