1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to LL.M Course -2011-12 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

2. Eligibility for Admission
(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.
(ii) Academic qualifications: Candidates who have passed the L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3 year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the Universities in Kerala or other Universities recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular Final year LL.B. examination can also apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional Degree / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of allotment of seats.
(iii) Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to LL. M Course.

3. Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, on 15.01.2012 (Sunday). The Questions of the Entrance Examination will be of objective type. There shall be two papers each of 90 minutes duration, from 9.30am to 11.00am and 11.30 am to 1.00pm. Each paper will have 100 questions. The questions shall be of the standard of LL.B Examination.

4. Application forms: Application forms and Prospectus can be downloaded from the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, www.cee-kerala.org . Keralites residing inside Kerala State, can remit the application fee (Rs.800/- Rupees Eight Hundred only) in any branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Chalan provided on page No.5 of the application form. The original Chalan contained in page No.5 shall be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Keralites residing outside Kerala State, can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The application fees once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

5. Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms Completed applications with all the documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 either by Registered Post or by hand delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 30.12.2011.

6. Late applications including those brought after 5 PM on 30.12.2011 will not be accepted.
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.

Incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard.

7. After submission of the application, candidates will not be allowed to include any
information in the application form or submit any certificate claiming reservation or other benefits under any circumstances.

8. Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever necessary. The certificates that are attached separately in the application form will not be considered.

9. Admit cards can be downloaded from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 09.01.2012.

10.The centralized allotment of seats will be notified after the publication of the results of the entrance examination. Individual intimation will not be sent to candidates in this regard. All certificates in support of various claims preferred in the application form will have to be submitted at the time of allotment. No extension of time will be granted for this.

11.The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the various
provisions laid down in the prospectus, approved by Government. Candidates are directed to go through the various provisions in the Prospectus available in the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at www.cee-kerala.org before submitting their applications.

Eligibility Criteria: (a) Integrated Pre PhD Course
(i) Candidates securing 55% marks or above or equivalent grade in Master Degree Examination of a recognized University are only eligible to apply for admission to One semester Integrated Pre PhD Course work for registration to MPhil / PhD programme of the University. Relaxation of marks for SC / ST categories shall be as per Govt. of India rules
(ii) Candidates with MPhil Degree from any recognized University with explicit proof of qualifying in the course work of minimum one semester duration can also apply for provisional registration to PhD programme directly without prosecuting fresh course work if selected in the Admission Test (Personal Interview Only). However, such candidate must have passed at least one paper on Research Methodology and obtained at least 55 marks in each paper separately or B grade in aggregate.

Eligibility Criteria : (b) DLitt / DSc Course
A candidate seeking admission to DSc / DLitt must have PhD or an equivalent degree from Assam University or from any other recognized Indian University or a foreign university in the concerned discipline and must be a serving or retired teacher in the University system. He / She must have served as a teacher for a minimum period of 5 years and have at least 5 years of research experience after PhD

Admission forms may be downloaded from the website http://www.aus.ac.in or prospectus 2012 may be collected from Cash Counter of Assam University on all working days from 23 December 2011 to 06 January 2012 (upto 2 pm) on payment of Rs. 500-00. A demand draft of Rs. 200.00 drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University, Silchar payable at SBI, NIT Branch, Silchar or UCO Bank, AUS Branch, must be submitted alongwith the application form as application fee. However, SC / ST candidates need not pay application fee.

The last date of submission of duly filled in Admission form to the respective departments is 06 January 2012.

Short Term Studentship Program (STS 2012)


Applications are invited from interested undergraduate medical students to participate in the Short Term Studentship Program (STS 2012) to be conducted by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

This program is only for Indian undergraduate medical & dental students (MBBS / BDS) before they appear in their final exams.

The student is required to register on ICMR website online by 10th January 2012, submit the application form and research proposal online latest by 25th January 2012. Proposals will be evaluated and results will be displayed on the ICMR website by end of March 2012. If selected, the student is expected to complete the project in any two given months between April and August 2012 and submit the report before the last date of submission i.e. 15th September, 2012. The student will be awarded stipend and certificate only if his / her report is approved.

The value of the studentship will be Rs. 5,000/- per month for 2 months’ duration (Rs. 10,000/- only) and is meant to be a stipend for the student.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida has invited applications for admission to B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program of Academic Year 2012 and commencing on 1st August 2012, conducted in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Admission to the course will be through Joint Entrance Examination 2012 to be held on 28th April 2012.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2012 on provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission. Admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents to be produced by the candidates at the time of Counselling and at the time of admission.

• Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.

• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects

AGE LIMIT: For candidates from General and OBC categories upper age limit is 22 years as on 1.7. 2012, only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1990 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years as on 1.7.2012, only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1987 will be eligible.

Reservation for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and OBC Candidates: 15%, 7.5% and 27 % seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC categories (Central list), respectively

The MEd Entrance Test shall be open to a candidate who after graduation has:
i) passed BT, LT, or BEd Examination of the University or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent to the BEd Examination of the University
ii) has been selected for admission to MEd in accordance with the regulation laid down by the state Government under section 28(5) of the Act.

Withdrawal from the Programme and Refund of Fees
Refund of fees will be made as per the regulations of the Govt. of India. If a student admitted to the B.Tech programme withdraws from the programme before starting the classes, the fees collected from the student will be refunded after deducting a processing fee of Rs. 1000/-.

If a student leaves after starting the classes, but before closing the admission, and if the seat consequently falling vacant is filled by another candidate before the last date of admission, the University will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of monthly fees. If the vacancy is not filled up as above, the fee will not be refunded.

No refund will be given to a student leaving after the closing of admissions.

The date of closing of admissions will be announced by the University.

About Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (PGEE 2012):
An all-India examination to test the preparedness of the applicants will be held on 15 April, 2012. The examination will be held at Hyderabad and a number of major cities in the country depending on the number of applicants from each region. The entrance examination will consist of two papers. Paper I test the general aptitude of the candidate and will consist of objective questions from Mathematics, Programming, and Logical Reasoning. Paper II is the Subject Paper, which tests the candidate's subject knowledge.

All applications should be submitted online in PGEE portal To submit the application, a candidate has to complete two registration forms: Pre-Registration Form and Main Registration Form.

Important Notes :

Eligibility:
A candidate for admission to the M.D.S. course (Master of Dental Surgery) must possess a B.D.S. degree (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration from any of the State Dental Council of India. A candidate not possessing a recognized dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval regarding qualification by the Dental Council of India before he/she can be admitted to the M.D.S. course.

Admissions to the Post-graduate programmes in Management (e.g. PGDM, PGDBA, MBA, MCA, MCM, etc.) offered by various Institutes / Universities.


How To Apply:
1. Visit www.atmaaims.com and get details of nearest Fee Collection Centre.

2. When you pay the Registration/Application Fee of Rs.950 (Rupees Nine Hundred and Fifty only) through cash, you will be given a receipt by the Fee Collection Centre (FCC). The RECEIPT needs to be shown to the invigilator at the time of examination along with the ADMIT CARD.

3. On receipt of your particulars, AIMS Secretariat will issue a Personal ID Code on your email id/mobile number. On filling in the PIN in the Registration window, you will get access to the online registration form to provide your particulars. After filling in the registration form, please verify that the data you have supplied is correct. Then take a print-out of the filled in registration form for your record, as it needs to be signed and submitted to the Test Centre at the time of Examination. You will receive your Registration Number which will be a confirmation that your application has been received. Please note down the Registration number for future use.

4. Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in the Form.

5. ADMIT CARDS; Candidates are requested to down load their admit cards from the ATMA website www.atmaaims.com by entering the Registration Number and your Date of Birth.

6. Candidates must get their ADMIT CARD in order to appear for the test. Candidates without the ADMIT CARD or without the PHOTOGRAPH affixed on the ADMIT CARD will be not allowed to appear for the examination.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Mathematics
Candidate with B.A./B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject.
2. Physical Sciences
Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied materials sciences under Part–II group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subject.
3. Biological Sciences
Candidates with B.Sc/B.Sc(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or allied Life Sciences under Part–II group subjects or B.C.A.
candidates with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.
4. Social Studies
All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. and B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.
5. English
Candidates with B.A English as special Subject.

The candidates seeking admission into B.Ed. (Distance Mode) has to satisfy the following conditions:
1. a) Teachers with a Bachelor’s Degree serving in a recognized Primary / Elementary / Secondary / Sr.Secondary school and having at least two years experience of school teaching at any of the above level are eligible for admission to the course.
b) Osmania University will admit only those candidates who are presently working in schools located in the territorial jurisdiction assigned to it by the University Act. (O.U. Local area, for details, about OU Local area).
2. Candidates shall have to produce a certificate of service from the Head of the institution / Employer and a self declaration of the service. The candidate should submit no objection certificate from the present employer.
3. The candidate seeking admission must qualify in the B.Ed (Distance Mode) Entrance Test and satisfy the norms prescribed by the University.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
i) The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the rank obtained in the B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Entrance Test to the extent of sanctioned intake of 500 seats.
ii) The percentage of candidates to be admitted in each methodology (subject) shall not exceed the limit prescribed by the University/Government from time to time. The percentage of admissions into the five methodologies as per the rules in vogue is as follows:

c) Biological Science Methodology (BS) : 03 20%

RESERVATION:
1. Local and Non-Local Candidates
i) Admission to 85% of the available seats in every methodology shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area in respect of O.U. subject to community and other reservations in force.
ii) The remaining 15% of the seats which are open to both local and non-locals shall be filled up subject to similar reservation as applicable to 85% local candidates

2. SC, ST and BC candidates: Of the total number of seats available in each methodology, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories.
Scheduled Tribe* : 6 percent
Scheduled Cast* : 15 percent
Backward Class* :
Group-A : 7 percent
Group-B : 10 percent
Group-C : 1 percent
Group-D : 7 percent
Group-E : 4 percent (Subject to court judgement)

The Application form should be submitted to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press, Osmania University Campus, Hyderabad - 500 007 on any working day between 10.00 a.m to to 4.00 p.m. either in person or by post on or before 13.01.2012 by 4 p.m.

B.Ed.(Distance Mode) course fee is Rs. 20,000/- for all the candidates including BC/SC/ST Candidates.

CERTIFICATES TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION:
Candidates called for admission must present in person and submit all the ORIGINAL certificates listed below, along with two sets of xerox copies.
1. B.Ed(Distance Mode) Entrance Hall Ticket.
2. B.Ed(Distance Mode) Entrance Rank Card.
3. Degree certificate (or Provisional Certificate if Degree Certificate is not yet issued as per rules) of qualifying examination.
4. Memorandum of Marks (Part-I and Part-II) of the qualifying degree examination.
5. Two years experience certificate (as per Para-IV and No-objection Certificate from the employer.
6. Proof of Local / Non-Local candidates, according to rules in force. Those who have studied Intermediate and Degree courses as regular students need submit only the bonafide certificates from colleges. In case, there is a break in the four consecutive years preceding the qualifying examination, the candidates must submit bonafide certificate of 9th and 10th class. Non-local candidates should submit:
(i) a residence certificate for 10 years of either of the parents from M.R.O. or
(ii) employee certificate from the employer
7. Community, Nativity and Date of Birth Certificate for SC/ST/BC, candidates as per G.O.M.S. No. 58, Social Welfare (J) Department dated 12-5-1997.
