Ph.D (Geography) Admissions 2012
Applications are invited by University of Calcutta from candidates intending to enrol for the PhD programme in Geography in the prescribed proforma. The selection procedure will adhere to the following schedule / criteria. All subsequent notifications related to this programme will be made in the Notice Board of the Geography Department, University of Calcutta.
Eligibility:
Masters degree in Geography from a UGC-recognised University.
The eligible candidates who cleared NET / SET / SLET / MPhil are exempted from appearing in this test and should directly appear for the interview.

*Last date for submission of application (at the Department Office) after depositing the prescribed fee to the University: 2 January 2012 (Monday).
*Display of the list of eligible candidates: 6 January 2012 (Friday)
*Date of Research Eligibility Test (RET) : 10 January 2012 (Tuesday)
*Display of the list of successful candidates in RET : 19 January 2012 (Thursday)
*Date of Interview: 2 February 2011 (Thursday)
*Display of the list of successful candidates eligible for admission to the PhD programme: 7 February 2012 (Tuesday)
*Tentative date of commencement of PhD Coursework: 21 February 2012 (Tuesday)
