Applications in the prescribed form have been invited from Puducherry Domiciles and NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students for admission to I MDS (Postgraduate) Courses through POSTGRADUATE DENTAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION – 2012, in MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, PUDUCHERRY for the academic year 2012-2013 in the following Categories:
1) Puducherry Domiciles/Residents (General – 3, MBC –1 & SC – 1):
Prosthodontics
Oral Pathology and Microbiology
Oral Medicine & Radiology
Conservative Dentistry
Periodontics
2) NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students:
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who are completing their Internship not later than 31.03.2012 are eligible to apply. Candidates seeking admission under Puducherry Domiciles Category should be an Indian National and a domicile/resident of Puducherry.
Candidates seeking admission to I MDS Course for the academic year 2012-13 should appear in the Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination (PGDEE – 2012), on 15.01.2012. The Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination shall be held at MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, PUDUCHERRY-605 006
Application Procedure: Application forms along with Information Bulletin may be obtained from the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605006 or SBI Branch, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences campus, Gorimedu, Puducherry in person or by enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn in any Nationalised Banks in favour of the DIRECTOR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, payable at Puducherry along with a requisition letter
Cost of Application and Information Bulletin
1. For Puducherry Domiciles:
A) General/MBC/OBC Category
i) In person: Rs.2000/- ii) By post : Rs.2050/-
B) SC Category
i) In person: Rs.600/- ii) By post : Rs.650/-
2. For NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students
i) In person : Rs. 4000/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars
ii) By Post : Rs.4200/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars
The candidates can also apply in the application form downloadable at www.mgpgi.puducherry.gov.in together with the prescribed fee by Demand Draft only in the name of the DIRECTOR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, payable at Puducherry.
The application form duly filled in with all enclosures (Attested copies of certificates etc.) should reach the DIRECTOR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Gorimedu, PUDUCHERRY– 605 006 on or before 03.01.2012 by 12.30 P.M.
