NBE - DNB Final Exam 2013

National Board of Examinations has invited applications from qualified candidates for Diplomate National Board Final Exam in Broad Specialities to be conducted on 8th June 2013.

ELIGIBILITY:

a) A candidate holding a medical qualification (MD/MS) i.e. having passed the final examination in a broad specialty recognized as per the provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 as amended from time to time OR a candidate registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and obtaining requisite period of training as prescribed by NBE & fulfilling other eligibility criteria as stated in the Information Bulletin may appear for the DNB final examination (Broad Specilty)

b) A candidate holding a medical qualification (DM/MCh) i.e. having passed the final examination in a specialty recognized as per the provision of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 as amended from time to time OR a candidate registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and obtaining requisite period of training as prescribed by NBE & fulfilling other eligibility criteria as stated in the Information Bulletin May appear for the DNB final examination (Super Specialty).

Deposition of Fees :

By Cash Deposit

The fee as above can be deposited at any branch of the Indian Bank or Axis Bank; The list of branches of Axis Bank and Indian Bank can be seen at their website www.axisbank.com and www.indianbank.in respectively. Kindly use the pay-in-slip provided along with this Information Bulletin for this purpose. Pay-in-slip can also be downloaded from NBE Website www.natboard.edu.in. NBE copy of pay-in-slip is required to be submitted in original alongwith application form.

b. DNB Final Examination (Only Practical- 2nd /3rd Attempt practical): Rs. 3600/-

d. For application forms downloaded from internet, Information Bulletin cum application form cost of Rs. 750/- has to be paid along with

applicable examination fees.

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad has invited applications for admissions to the following Super Speciality courses of Academic Year 2013-14 leading to D.M. and M.Ch degrees. Admission will be based on the Entrance Exam, NIMS SET-SS-2013 scheduled to be conducted on 16th June 2013.

Eligibility:

a) Candidates who have passed (MD/MS/DNB) examination from Medical Colleges recognized by MCI or its statutory equivalent are eligible. Candidates who will be completing training period on or before 30/06/2013 are also eligible to apply, provided the candidates submit

1. a certificate issued by the Principal / Dean of college regarding the likely date of completion of the course and acquiring the eligible qualification and 2. a declaration by the candidate, failing which their applications will be rejected.

b) No condonation of training period shall be accepted unless approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) along with submission of necessary proof. The condonation of training period shall be restricted to the period ending on 30-06-2013 and not beyond. The condonation certificate must be submitted along with the application form.

c) The candidates who have already registered for any regular course at NIMS and would like to apply for admission to another course shall resign from such Training / course in the Institute duly fulfilling the conditions of the bond and failure to do so may render their application liable for rejection.

Application Procedure: Application form is available at link: http://www.nims.edu.in  Candidate must submit both soft and hard copies of the Application form and can apply for only one subject.  A Demand Draft for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) drawn in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences and dated before 30-04-2013 or NIMS cash receipt will have to be submitted simultaneously along with the filled-in application.

General Eligibility:

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and should also have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET. (Percentage of marks or CGPA will be based on the norms of the concerned university/Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case  University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA).

GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all disciplines except for the following category of candidates:-

Candidate shall fill the registration form online by registering on www.niper.gov.in The process of online registration shall commence on 23rd April 2013 and will continue till 7th May 2013. However, before registration, applicants shall have to remit registration fee of Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST) through online transfer to Account Number 65116506648 (NIPER Net Banking Account) of State Bank of Patiala, NIPER Campus Branch, Sector-67, Mohali (Branch Code No. 51018; IFSC No. STBP0001018). Applicants can also deposit registration fee in the above account number in any branch of State Bank of Patiala in India. Applicants shall have to fill up all items given in online registration form (including bank transaction no./UTR No./Journal no. and date of online payment made for Rs. 1000/Rs.500), uploading soft copy of recent photograph and scanned signatures, submit form, take printout of the Registration slip put signatures at the bottom of registration slip and attach following:-

i) copy of the award letter (if any) pertaining to NET-JRF of CSIR/DBT/UGC/ICMR etc.

Educational Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in Engineering/Technology:

M.E./M.Tech. Degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI.
