It is a five year dual degree programme for bright and motivated students of science who have completed class XII. It integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions.

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences will give admission to all residents of India in the Ph.D. program hereunder mentioned, at various Government and Private colleges affiliated and approved for the purpose, with RUHS, Jaipur, on the basis of UGC regulation 2009, instructions mentioned in the information booklet and relevant ordinances of the RUHS, Jaipur.

Educational Qualification
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for Ph.D. course of this University, under the following faculties:

Faculty of Medicine Faculty of Pharmacy
M.D., M.S. or equivalent Master’s degree from a college/university recognized by MCI are eligible to register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.

Clinical subjects: M.D., M.S. or equivalent
Master’s degree after MBBS recognized by RUHS,
Jaipur are eligible to register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.
or
Pre-clinical/Para-clinical subjects: M.D., M.S. or equivalent Master’s degree after MBBS or nonmedical candidates with M.Sc. in Anatomy/ Physiology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacology/Radiation Physics from a college/university recognized by MCI are eligible to register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.

M.Pharm degree or Master’s degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RUHS

Such candidates must have obtained atleast 55% marks in B.Pharm or M.Pharm. A relaxation of 5% marks at PG level to the SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates shall be given.

Note: Eligibility shall be checked by a committee constituted by the Convener/Vice-Chancellor, for the purpose.
Candidate who has appeared for master’s degree program and whose result is awaited can also apply for RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test-2012. Such candidate shall be permitted provisionally to appear at RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test-2012. A candidate must qualify the master’s degree program so as to submit the marks statement of the same before the interview board during its meeting.

Reservation
The reservation of seats will be made subject to statutory provisions enacted by State of Rajasthan.
Candidates are required to submit an attested copy of the caste certificate (SC, ST, Non creamy layer OBC, Non creamy layer SBC) or the additional category certificate (PH, WDP, KM, etc., if applicable) issued by the competent authority.

Number of seats
The tentative number of seats in each specialization/subject will be available in due course at the RUHS website (www.ruhsraj.org).  The number of seats may increase or decrease; the exact number shall be notified on the website of RUHS before the date of interview.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The candidate is required to download the Application Form/Challan Form from the PGI website i.e. http://pgimer.nic.in.  After filling the application form, the candidate is required to send it by Speed Post/Registered Post to Registrar PGI, Chandigarh on or before 20.11.2012.

After depositing the fee with the branch of State Bank of India, the candidate shall send a PGI’s copy of the Challan Form along with the application form and retain a candidate’s copy of Challan with him/her for future use. The third copy of the Challan form will be retained by the State Bank of India.

The Challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account No. 32211613319 and those candidates who have SBI account can also pay their fee through icollect service of SBI and I-collect Account No. is 32222954695. In that case the INB reference No. will have to be mentioned instead of Challan No. in the application form. The fees for GENERAL candidates is Rs.1000/- and for SC/ST Rs.800/- (indicating category i.e. General or SC/ST). (The candidates should write his/her Name, Address, contact number and course name in which he /she apply, on the back side of Challan form).

A candidate applying for more than one subject is required to submit separate application complete in all respect for each subject.

Note:
1) It is in the interest of the candidate to send the application through Registered/ Speed Post.
