NLU Lucknow - Model United Nations
The simulation of the UN—the
Model United Nations (MUN)is imperative not only in order to recognise the
efforts and the success of the UN but also for students to understand
international problems that the world faces today. The purpose of a Model UN is
to provide an interactive educational experience that affords to its
participants an understanding of how the UN functions, in an interesting and
enjoyable way. Through this hands-on approach, the more-than-100,000 students
who participate in MUNs gain a global perspective on world problems. It
provides students with a firm ground to test and develop their capabilities be
it as a delegate or as a member of the secretariat, thereby enhancing their
personality and motivating them to look towards a day when they can think of
contributing to a better future for our world.
