B.E / B.Tech Programmes

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of a University/Board other than those approved by Anna University and have been selected, will be admitted to the college provisionally, subject to their qualifications being recognized by the Anna University/Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE). The candidates concerned should therefore write to the Registrar of the Anna University/ DoTE in advance to obtain and produce in original, the documentary evidence of acceptance by the University/DoTE , of their qualification before being admitted to the college. The admission to the college will be made on the basis of the declaration by the candidate, If the qualification, for any reason, is not recognized by the University/DoTE, the candidate will have to discontinue the course.

Only those candidates selected under the merit and NRI quota will be intimated at the first instance. Those who applied against possible lapsed seat (if any) will have to wait till the Government of Tamilnadu closes the admissions, to find out the vacancies (if any). The selection of candidates will be provisional, subject to their being found eligible on the verification of their original certificates at the time of admission. The Principal reserves the right of refusing to admit the candidate, if on verification of the original certificate the candidate is found to be ineligible for admission or any suppression of particulars detected.Further, if the candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage of his/her admission, the college has the right to cancel the admission at whatever stage the candidate may be at the time. A joint declaration should be signed at the time of admission by the candidate and his/her parent, in the format of which a specimen copy is given in the Annexure 1. Candidates should ensure that correct information regarding marks, age and community is furnished by him/her.

Pilot Training Admissions 2011-2012

Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, a Government of Kerala Undertaking, has invited applications from Indian Nationals for admission to the following Programmes offered by the Institute.

(a) Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training (Ground Classes plus Flying Training).
(b) Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training (Ground Classes plus Flying Training).
(c) Ground Classes only.

Applicants should be at least 17 years of age as on 30th June, 2011. For admission to the three year Commercial Pilot Licence Training Programme, having an intake of 15 and carrying a fee of approximately 21.5 lakhs (200 hours), applicant should have passed the Plus Two or equivalent (Academic Stream) Examination with minimum 50% marks and should have secured 60 % in Mathematics, Physics and English together. The fee is to be paid in instalments as decided by the Institute. There will also be a security deposit of Rs.50,000/- to be refunded at the end of the flying training.

For admission to Private Pilot Licence training (Ground Classes Plus Flying Training) as well as to Ground Classes only, having an intake of 15, the minimum eligibility is a Pass in 10th Standard or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and English as a subject.

The fee for PPL (Ground Classes plus Flying Training) will be approximately Rs. 7.19 lakhs (60 hrs) to be paid in installments as decided by the Academy. There will also be a Security Deposit of Rs 50,000/- to be refunded at the end of flying training. The fee for Ground Classes only (PPL level) will be Rs. 50,000/- to be paid in one installment.

The fee specified here for CPL and PPL do not include DGCA (Director General of Civil Aviation) Examination/Licence Fees. Fluency in spoken English will be an added qualification for both CPL and PPL Courses.

Selection to the different Programmes will be based on a common written test & interview. The written test (objective type) of three hours duration, will comprise of questions from Physics, Mathematics, English, Geography, IQ and General Awareness (including aviation). Those securing a minimum of 50% marks in the written test will be called for interview. Those who are successful in written test and interview will be required to undergo a Pilot Aptitude Test. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a DGCA medical examination. A merit list will be prepared subsequent to the Medical Examination.

The training for selected students will be held at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and other airports as required. Ground Classes will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram. Flying training will comprise minimum 200 hrs for CPL and 60 hrs for PPL on Aircraft of the Academy and Ground classes. Training on Simulators will be provided when simulators are available, on payment of extra fees.

The trainees admitted for Ground Classes only, after completion of the course and passing the required DGCA exam, will be issued SPL (Student Pilot Licence) & FRTOL (Flight Radio Telephony Operator Licence-Restricted), with which they will be able to join other training institutes/ flying clubs in India for flying training. They will be given preference for admission for flying in Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology, Trivandrum, as and when vacancies arise.

Applications are invited for admission to one year M.Phil. programme in Natural Resource Management (Award of degree by Saurashtra University, Rajkot) commencing from September, 2011.

Eligibility
Candidates must have a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or its equivalent, recognized by an Indian University or Association of Indian Universities with the minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/ OBC-Non creamy/PD) in aggregate in the field of Science/ Engineering/ Management and related Social sciences (as decided by equivalence committee of the Institute).

Those appearing in the final year of Post Graduation examination can also apply; provided they complete the eligibility criteria by August 31, 2011.

Selection Process
For in-service officers, the application should be forwarded through proper channel which will be screened at the Institute for direct interview. Candidates possessing UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET certificate or PGDFM from IIFM with a minimum of 3.0 OGPA shall also be exempted from written test and be directly called for interview.

Others have to qualify a written test conducted by the Institute. The cutoff score of the test will be decided by the Institute and shall have three components namely English ability, analytical ability and Natural Resource Management aptitude.

The Examination and Certification is done by the Controller of Technical Examinations, Government of Kerala, and this Certificate is approved by the Public Service Commission, the Armed Forces and all other Government Departments and Overseas Recruiters.

APPLICATION:
Application form and propsectus can be obtained from the Principals at a cost of RS.50/- in person or Rs. 75/- by Demand Draft drawn in the name of the Principal, Food Craft Institute where admission is sought payable at the State Bank of Travancore for all Institutes other than Uduma, and at the Uduma Institute - Syndicate Bank.

In case of SC/ST candidates the cost of form is Rs.25/- in person and Rs.35 by post. The applicant can use the same application form for 3 courses according to their preferences.

Application Form duly filled together with the following documents (self-attested) should be sent to the Institutions in which admission is required:

a) True copies of the relevant pages of the SSLC Book in proof of the date of birth, and the mark list of the qualifying examination prescribed as minimum qualification for each course.

Application are invited online for admission in B.Tech, B.Arch. & MBA courses on All India Quota seats, which have been reserved upto 20% of total seats, in Private Institutions affiliated to Gautam Budha Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University, Noida (Earlier jointly known as U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. Out of these All India Quota seats 10% seats will be filled through all India merit candidates without reservation and remaining 10% seats will be filled through by U.P. State domicile candidates based on U.P. State rank of AIEEE/CAT/ MAT as applicable and with state reservation policy.

For B.Tech., B.Arch. courses the admission will be granted on the basis of AIEEE-2011 rank.
For M.B.A. course the admission will be granted on the basis of CAT-2011 score/rank or MAT-2011 score/rank and GD/Interviews.


2. Admission under NRI quota in B.Tech. & B.Arch. Courses:

Applications are invited for admissions to the Govt. aided institutions of Engineering & Technology in U.P. on 5% seats of total intake under NRI quota as per AICTE norms and approval; from the son/daughter and real brother/sister of NRIs. Applications from the children of real brother/sister and son/daughter of NRIs may also be considered for admission in govt. aided institutions, if the seats remain vacant after the admission of NRI, or the son/daughter or the real sister/brother of NRI. Candidates seeking admission under this quota must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) subjects in Intermediate or equivalent examination. As per guidelines of Council of Architecture the candidate seeking admission for B.Arch. will have to appear in an aptitude test especially designed to assess the candidates’ aptitude.

3. Admission for Sons/Daughters of Kashmiri Migrants to First Year of B.Tech./B.Tech.(Ag. Engg.)/B.Pharma/ BHMCT/B.Arch./BFAD:

One seat is available in each Technical institution/Professional institutions in each programme (B.Tech/B.Pharm./B.HMCT /B.Arch./BFAD) affiliated to Gautam Budh Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University Noida (Earlier jointly known as - U P Technical University, Lucknow) for sons and daughters of Kashmiri Migrants who have secured at least 50% marks in Qualifying Subjects at 10+2 level or equivalent examination as mentioned in Information Brochure and as available on website-www.mtu.ac.in

Ph.D. programme has been initiated at C. S. M. Medical University U.P. (CSMMU UP) in bio-medical sciences to promote state-of-art research and to mentor scholars their area of specialization. In addition, these candidates will be trained in areas like research methodology, bio-statistics, computer use, etc.

This will ensure general proficiency in research and bio-informatics thereby ensuring quality and increasing likelihood of their pursuing a successful career in research. Successful candidates will be awarded “DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY” from C. S. M. MEDICAL UNIVERSITY U. P.. While this degree will not be awarded in any specific subject, the award certificate will mention the title of the thesis along with the month and year of the award of degree.

Eligibility
For Non-Faculty Candidates:

Candidate must either have a post graduate degree with at least 60% (55% for reserve candidates) marks or MBBS with supplementary in not more than 2 subjects and completed their internship on or before 31st July of the same year.

Candidates must either have fellowship from NET/ GATE/ ICMR/ SET/ allied agency funded) or the guide submit an undertaking to ensure funding for the duration of the programme. Candidates without secure funding will not be registered.

Faculty or other staff of CSMMU UP who have completed at least the 5 years of service can enroll in the programme through their respective head of department.

Such candidates must avail at least one year’s leave to work full time for their research. The nature of leave to be availed will be as per existing University norms.

1) Separate application forms should be obtained for each course.
2) Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidates and the course for which the application is sought for (Viz., B.A.,B.L (Hons.), B.L (Hons.), M.L.,P.G. Diploma, Certificate Course, B.A.,B.L and B.L Degree Courses).
3) Application form for all the courses can be obtained in person or by post from the Office of the TNDALU on a written request along with the Demand Draft towards the cost of application form including Registration, drawn in favour of “The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai”, payable at Chennai.
4) To avail concession on the cost of application forms, SC/ST candidates shall submit a copy of their community Certificate along with their written request.
