1. MA Programmes
Basic qualification: at least 50% marks/equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from recognized universities
Programme Qualifying examination and additional requirement
English &Comparative Literature (Equivalent to M.A English) Degree in any discipline minimum of 50% marks in English at the degree level
Economics Degree in any discipline
Hindi Degree in any discipline minimum of 50% marks in Hindi at the degree level

2. MSc Programmes
Basic qualification: at least55% marks/equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from recognized universities
Programme Qualifying examination and additional requirement
Biochemistry & Molecular Biology BSc (Chemistry/Biochemistry/any subject under Life Sciences as major/core subject)
Animal Science BSc (Zoology main with Botany and Chemistry/ Bio-chemistry as subsidiary)
Computer Science Degree in Computer Science/ Computer applications/ Information Technology or equivalent as major/core subject
Genomic Science BSc (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/any subject under Life Sciences as major/core subject)
Mathematics BSc (Mathematics)
Physics BSc (Physics)
Plant Science BSc Botany/Plant Science

3. Integrated MPhil/PhD Programmes
Basic qualification: at least 55% marks/equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from recognized universities
Programme Qualifying examination and additional requirement
Animal Taxonomy MSc (Zoology /Animal Science)
Biochemistry MSc (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology)
Comparative Literature MA (English / Comparative Literature / Linguistics)
Economics MA (Economics)
Genomics MSc (Biochemistry/Molecular Biology /Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Genetics/Zoology/Botany/Microbiology)
Physics MSc (Physics)


NOTE
1. Admission is based on Central Universities’ Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2011) on 18 & 19 June 2011.
2. For MPhil programmes, there shall be an interview in addition to CUCET-2011. Those qualified in UGC/CSIR-NET/similar research fellowship test of ICMR/DBT/DST/KSCSTE are exempted from Entrance test in the relevant branches. However, they also have to submit application before 4th June 2011 and attend interview.
3. On-line application form and eligibility conditions are available atwww.cucet.ac.in and www.cukerala.ac.in.
4. For offline application forms, contact the Officer on Special Duty, Central University of Kerala at the above address. You may also send a self-addressed stamped (Rs.25/-) envelope (28cm x 12cm) for each application form along with DD of Rs.100/- (Rupees 50/- for SC/ST) per application drawn in favour of ‘Co-ordinator, CUCET-2011’ payable at Thiruvarur, TamilNadu, drawn on any Nationalised Bank.
5. The last date for the receipt of both online and offline application is 4th June 2011.

After filling the form,
1. Attach a demand draft for the required amount as per the number of programs applied.
2. Send the form along with the DD to: Blueshift Information Systems Private Limited,6th Floor, East Wing, Sreyas Towers,23&24,Chamiers Road, Chennai – 600 018.
