ADMISSION TO PARAMEDICAL COURSES 2011 – 2012 SESSION
TN Paramedical Degree Courses 2011
Applications have been invited from the citizen of India and native of Tamil Nadu for admission to the following courses for 2011-12 session in Government Medical College/Self-financing para medical Institution coming under the purview of single window system in the state of Tamil Nadu.
B.PHARM.,
B.Sc., (NURSING)
B.P.T.,
B.A.S.L.P.,
B.O.T.
ELIGIBILITY and AGE LIMIT :
FOR B.Sc., (NURSING) COURSE:-
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and maximum age is 30 years as on 31st December, 2011. For SC / SCA / ST candidates maximum age is raised to 35 years. Evidence should be produced.
FOR ALL OTHER COURSES:-
Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before 31st December 2011. Evidence should be produced.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: -
Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying Examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent examination in one and the same attempt in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.
(a) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. (or)
(b) Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subjects
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY MARKS: -
(a) B.Pharm / B.Sc ., ( Nursing ) / BASLP
For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DC Candidates : -
Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics both in Theory and Practical with a minimum of 35% of marks and with not less than 40% aggregate marks in the above subjects.
For SC / SCA / ST Candidates: -
Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics both in Theory and Practical with a minimum of 35% of marks and with not less than 35 % aggregate marks in the above subjects.
English:- A Pass in English with a minimum of 35% marks is mandatory for all categories.
(b) B.P.T., / BOT
All Categories:
Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology (both Theory and Practical) with a minimum of 35% of marks in each of the above subjects is mandatory.
English: A Pass in English with a minimum of 35% marks is mandatory.
Candidates both Male and Female seeking admission to B.Sc., (Nursing) course should be unmarried. If the candidate gets married after admission while undergoing the course he / she shall NOT be permitted to continue the course of study and shall be expelled from the institution. The ratio between men and women shall be 1 : 9 respectively in the selection of candidates.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applications can be downloaded from the websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in (Link: http://www.tn.gov.in/results/dme/UG_2011_2012/paramedical/Application.pdf)
and the filled application along with necessary enclosures and 2 self addressed envelopes( 23 x 10 cms ) sent in a large sized cover measuring 38cm X 28cm super scribed ‘APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO PARAMEDICAL COURSES 2011 – 2012 SESSION’ to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai -10 before the last date along with a Demand Draft for 350/- towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee and payable at Chennai.
Candidates seeking admission under Special Category for the paramedical courses (Orthopaedically Physically disabled & Children of Ex-Servicemen ) shall submit a separate Special Category Form along with the main application in the prescribed format available with an additional fee of 100 /- by way of a Demand Draft for each special category enclosing the relevant certificates.
