Research & Development Centre, Bharathiar University has invited applications for admission to Part-Time Ph.D courses intedended for Executives (Administration)

ELIGIBILITY:
For purpose of admission to the Part-time Ph.D. for Executives (Administration) Programme (Category-B) (not transferrable) a candidate should have obtained any Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examinations under (10+2+3+2) / 11+1+3+2 system.

Further as per U.G.C. regulations, the candidate who has acquired less than 55% (50% in the case of SC / ST candidates) has to give an undertaking that he / she is not going for teaching positions. Candidates, satisfying the eligibility criteria can register for Part-time Ph.D. (Category-B) for Executives (Administration), under a guide who can be chosen from a Pool of Research Supervisors selected by Bharathiar University.

Service Experience
At least three years working experience required at the managerial and administrative positions in a regular full time job in Government organization/Government undertaking/corporate sector and education Institutions, etc.

Age
Age limit for the candidate is 40 years and above for private and public sector undertaking officials on production of valid certificate for date of birth.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR RESEARCH SUPERVISOR:
Professors/Scientists/Researchers possessing Ph.D. Degree working in Universities/Affiliated Colleges/Research Institutions in India recognized by the Bharathiar University located within or outside Bharathiar University jurisdictions in India and abroad are eligible to act as research supervisor.

Moreover, total 10 years of teaching/research experience with minimum 3 years as HOD ship or a PG with Ph.D. with 3 years experience in administration such as I.A.S./I.P.S./Principal/Secretary/ Chairman/ Directors/Deans/CEO’s/CFO’s/Managers/Executive Deans/Directors.

REGISTRATION:
A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph.D. for Executives (Administration) programme shall submit the application form through proper channel to the University along with a brief research proposal of 500 words attested by the guide, experience certificate and publications, if any shall be enclosed.

A Candidate shall apply in the prescribed application format available in the website http://www.b-u.ac.in   (application fee is Rs.5,000/- not refundable).

Applications for admission to the Part -time Ph.D. for Executives (Administration) programme (Category-B) will be received throughout the year. However there will be two sessions for provisional admission as mentioned below:

Requisite Qualification for admission to MBBS Course:
1) The candidate seeking admission to UG Medical (MBBS) courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/ HSC examination of any recognized
Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. 

2) The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMED - K - UGET-2014).

3) The SC, ST and OBC Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained
at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying
examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the candidates must have passed these
subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB, further they must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMED - K - UGET-2014).

4) Age: The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS course. (31.12. 2014)

Submission of the application form with COMED-K UGET - 2014 Test Score and Rank by post or in person along with Photographs and other enclosures on or before 30.06.2014 at 5.00 pm.
The application downloaded from the Website of the University should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 2,000/- drawn in favour of “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT” payable at Mysore.

Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rs. 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE , payable at Mysore. (ii) a teacher of this University or working in other recognized University or in a recognized constituent/affiliated college - possessing eligibility conditions as at (i) above shall also be eligible for admission in Ph.D. programme provided -
a) his supervisor shall be a faculty of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology.
b) his place of work shall be the concerned department of the respective college of this University and the department of the co-supervisor (if any), if the cosupervisor is from any other institution/centre of repute.

Faculty of Dental Sciences
As per the guidelines of the statutory regulating council i.e. Dental Council of India, a candidate for admission to the Ph.D. course in the Faculty of Dental Sciences must possess -
(i) a post graduate degree (MDS) in any dental subject from any approved Indian University/its constituent and affiliated college recognized by Dental Council of India. Where marks are given in Masters course examination, the concerned candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in the P.G. examination. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility marks shall be applicable to the candidates belonging to the categories of OBC/SBC/SC/ST/Physically handicapped.
(ii) a post graduate degree with 50% marks or equivalent grade from a foreign University deemed equivalent to MDS degree of this University. No Objection Certificate from the Dental Council of India will however be required in these cases.
(iii) a teacher of this University or working in other recognized University or in a recognized constituent/affiliated college - possessing eligibility conditions as at (i) above shall also be eligible for admission in Ph.D. programme provided -
a) his supervisor shall be a faculty of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology.
b) his place of work shall be the concerned department of the respective college
of this University and the department of the co-supervisor (if any), if the cosupervisor is from any other institution/centre of repute.

Faculty of Nursing
As per the guidelines of the statutory regulating council i.e. Indian Nursing Council, a candidate for admission to the Ph.D. course in the Faculty of Nursing must possess -
(i) M.Sc. Nursing degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a college/institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
A relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility marks shall be applicable to the candidates belonging to the categories of OBC/SBC/SC/ST/Physically handicapped.
(ii) M.Sc. Nursing degree with a minimum of 55% marks where the candidate has been awarded a fellowship by the University Grants Commission/ICMR or any other National scholarship awarding agency, or
(iii) M.Sc. Nursing degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade from a Foreign University deemed equivalent to M.Sc.(Nursing) degree with an equivalence certificate from the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, or
(iv) a teacher of this University or working in other recognized University or in a recognized constituent/affiliated college for three years and possessing 55% marks or above in M.Sc.(Nursing) or a teacher possessing eligibility conditions as
at (i), (ii) and (iii) above shall also be eligible for admission in Ph.D. programme provided -
a) his supervisor shall be a faculty of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology.

Faculty of Physiotherapy
(i) A candidate for admission to the Ph.D. course in the Faculty of Physiotherapy must possess a post graduate degree i.e. MPT/MSPT in any Physiotherapy subject with at least 55% marks awarded by a recognized Indian University.

Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar has invited applications from bright students to work in exciting research areas of Theoretical Physics and Experimental Physics through Summer Students' Visiting Programme (SSVP 2014) scheduled to be conducted during May 06 - June 16, 2014

Eligibility: 
Those completing their MSc / BTech / BE degrees in 2015. i.e.,
Those in the 1st year of 2 year MSc (Physics) OR 4th year of Integrated MSc. (Physics)  
4th year of BE / BTech (interested in either of the above mentioned areas) 

Financial Assistance:
Selected candidates will be paid a stipend (@ Rs.5000/- per month) for the above period.  Round trip second sleeper train fare will also be reimbursed on completion of the project. In addition, candidates will be provided free hostel accommodation.

Selected candidates must be present in the Institute for the entire duration of the summer programme.

Eligibility
The candidate should have passed the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale wherever grades are awarded or equivalent (Percentage of marks or CGPA so calculated will be based on the norms fixed by the concerned university / Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA). General Eligibility:

Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG) has invited application for admission to Doctoral Programme in Geomagnetism and Allied Fields pertinent to studies of Solid Earth, Upper Atmosphere and Observatory Data Analysis.

Selected candidates will be required to do research work at IIG-Navi Mumbai/EGRLTirunelveli/ KSKGRL-Allahabad. Indian Institute of Geomagnetism is a recognized centre for conducting research leading to Ph.D. degree by following universities in the subjects specified:
