are invited from individuals in India for the following fellowship positions,

National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is a
Statutory and Autonomous body implementing the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
A Centre for Biodiversity Policy and Law (CEBPOL) established by NBA is a joint
initiative under the Indo-Norwegian Cooperation in the field of Biodiversity
Policy and Law. Applications are invited from individuals in India for the
following fellowship positions
1. Access
and Benefit Sharing (Code: CP ABS).
2. Invasive
Alien Species (Code: CP-IAS)
3. Multilateral
Environmental Agreements (Code: CP-MEA)

Qualification and Skills: Fellowship – Access and
Benefit Sharing (ABS)
A
Master’s degree in Life Science / Law/ Policy or related discipline;
At least
3-5 years of experience working on issues
of biodiversity law and policy issues;
At least
2-3 years of experience working on issues of ABS, traditional knowledge will be
highly desirable;
Proven
skills to assess legal frameworks such as the Biological Diversity Act as
evidenced by written reports/commentaries;
Familiarity with international biodiversity and ABS policies is necessary;
Computer
literacy is a must.
Qualification and Skills: Fellowship – Invasive Alien
Species (IAS):
A
Master’s degree in Life Science;
At least
3-5 years of experience working on issues
related to IAS;
Having
2-3 years of experience working on issues of policy development will be
desirable;
Proven
skills to write reports/peer reviewed articles and policy documents on the
subject of specialization;
Familiarity with national biodiversity management issues
and the Biological Diversity Act;
Computer
literacy is a must.
Qualification and Skills: Fellowship – Multilateral
Environmental Agreements (MEAs)
A
Master’s degree in Science / Law/ Policy;
At least 3-5 years of experience working on issues of
biodiversity MEAs;
At least
2-3 years of experience working on issues of implementation processes related
to biodiversity related MEAs is desirable;
Proven
skills to assess legal frameworks such as the MEAs and undertaking review of implementation of various biodiversity
related MEAs as evidenced by written reports/commentaries;
Familiarity with international biodiversity and MEA implementation issues and
related policy debates will be desirable;
II. How to apply
a. The eligible and
willing candidates should download the prescribed application format along with
Excel file from www.nbaindia.org web site.
b. The applicants
should fill up details in both application form and Excel file. The application
should bear the signature of the applicant along with the scanned copy of the
recent passport size photograph.
c. After filling up both files with details,
rename both the files with the applicant’s name. Take a print/hard copy of
application format and duly sign it with date.
d. The softcopies of
both application form and Excel file should be sent to the email id: cebpolfellow@biotech.co.in.
e. The signed hard
copy of application should be sent to Chief General Manager, Biotech Consortium
India Limited, Anuvrat Bhawan, 5th Floor, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New
Delhi - 110 002
