(Certificate Programme in Yoga/ Diploma Programme in Yoga)

SRC Community College, an institution promoted by State Resource Centre, Kerala invites applications for Certificate Programme in Yoga. This is six-month-long academic programme provides an opportunity to learn the philosophical and practical wisdom of Yoga. The students of this programme will get 20 days of practical sessions at the weekends. There will be 15 theory sessions on Introduction to yoga Philosophy, Yoga Postures and Pranayama, and Human Physiology and Yoga. Self-learning print materials are available in English and Malayalam language. Students can write the examinations either in English or in Malayalam. There are four courses/papers in this certificate programme. The assessment of the theory courses/papers is based on a 60+30+10 pattern. Sixty for the term-end examinations, thirty for the assignments written and submitted by the learners, and ten for the attendance. The programme fee is 6000/- and the application fee is Rs. 200/-

Qualification: 
The minimum qualification prescribed for admission is SSLC / THSLC or equivalent examination with eligibility for higher studies.

Experience: 

Candidates with a minimum of 2 years professional experience shall be given priority. For this, the experience gained by the candidates after attaining the required qualification in Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Public / Private Limited companies may be considered. Applications have been invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to LL.M Course - 2011-12 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

Eligibility for Admission

(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.
(ii) Academic qualifications: Candidates who have passed the L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3 year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the Universities in Kerala or other Universities recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular Final year LL.B. examination can also apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional Degree / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of allotment of seats.
(iii) Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to LL.M Course.

Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, on 15.01.2012 (Sunday). The Questions of the Entrance Examination will be of objective type. There shall be two papers each of 90 minutes duration, from 9.30 am to 11.00 am and 11.30 am to 1.00 pm. Each paper will have 100 questions. The questions shall be of the standard of LL.B Examination.

Application forms: Application forms and Prospectus can be downloaded from the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, www.cee-kerala.org . Keralites residing inside Kerala State, can remit the application fee (Rs.800/- Rupees Eight Hundred only) in any branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Chalan provided on page No.5 of the application form. The original Chalan contained in page No.5 shall be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Keralites residing outside Kerala State, can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Completed applications with all the documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 either by Registered Post or by hand delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 30.12.2011.

After submission of the application, candidates will not be allowed to include any information in the application form or submit any certificate claiming reservation or other benefits under any circumstances.

Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever necessary. The certificates that are attached separately in the application form will not be considered. Admit cards can be downloaded from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 09.01.2012.

The centralized allotment of seats will be notified after the publication of the results of the entrance examination. Individual intimation will not be sent to candidates in this regard. All certificates in support of various claims preferred in the application form will have to be submitted at the time of allotment. No extension of time will be granted for this.

The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the various provisions laid down in the prospectus, approved by Government. Candidates are directed to go through the various provisions in the Prospectus available in the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at www.cee-kerala.org before submitting their applications.

Music and Fine Arts scholarships 2011-2012

Applications are invited online for scholarships from BPA/MPA students of Thiruvananthapuram, Tripunithura and Palakkad Music colleges and first year students of Thiruvananthapuram, Mavelikkara and Trichur Govt. Fine Arts colleges for the academic year 2011-12.

The scholarship amount is Rs. 1250 per year for BPA students and Rs. 1500 for MPA students. Fine Arts degree students will get a monthly scholarship of Rs.300 each for Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattom , Rs.500 for Kathakali and Rs.250 each for Drawing/Painting and Sculpture and Modelling.

For PG students, the scholarship will be Rs.750 p.m. for Kathakali and Rs.500 for all others.


The applicants must not be recepients of any other scholarships or stipend and also their annual family income should not exceed Rs. One lakh.

Eligibility for Admission
Academic Eligibility:
a. Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent there to, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible for admission.
b. Candidates who have passed the BSc Degree (3 year course) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, or Biochemistry as Main, and
any one of the two of the above subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together, subject to the condition that they have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent there to with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects are eligible for admission to BSc Nursing.

Relaxation of marks :-
Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (as per G.O (P) No. 208/66/Edn dated 02/05/1966, G.O (MS) No. 95/08/SCSTDD dated 06/10/2008 and amendments thereof, with total annual family income not exceeding Rs.4.5 lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in the case of Biology and 45 % marks in the case of Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. The relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination extended to SEBC candidates only will be applicable to OEC candidates.

Age
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2011. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit.

How to apply:
Merit seats are filled up by LBS list .There will be separate application forms for (i) Management seats (35%), (ii) NRI quota seats (5%) and (iii) Foreign students quota(10%). The candidates applying for Management quota /NRI quota/ Foreign students quota should apply to SI-MET, in the prescribed application form issued by the SI-MET. Separate application fee should be remitted for the application forms, for Management quota seats and for NRI seats.

The Registration Fee for M.Phil. Course is Rs. 400/- and that for all other courses is Rs. 350/-. Full postal address of the applicant, with Pin code, is to be entered on the reverse side of the DD in block letters. SC/ST candidates need to pay only 50% of the registration fee.
