SAKURA Exchange Program

Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has proposed to welcome Indian youth (up to 40 years of age) starting April, 2015 under a new short-term invitational program or “SAKURA Exchange Program”. Some 300 young researchers and university students are supposed to have an exposure visit of 10 days to 3 weeks in the science and technology Institutions in Japan. 1.-1. Call for Exchange Program proposals (submission type) - This program is designed to reinforce, revitalize and construct a relationship between an Indian institution and a Japanese one by means of financial support for exchange plans. Each plan to be supported by JST must be always created and implemented in cooperation with the institutions of both countries, and an application for the program must be always submitted by the Japanese institution to JST.
1.-2. Sakura Science High School Program This program has been closed for 2015 and the following is for information purposes. - Objective of this program is to reinforce and accelerate exchange of the younger students (high school students, equivalent to the students of grade 10, 11, 12 in India).

JST invites Indian students to Japan. Participants are chosen under the partnership of JST and the relevant Indian governmental agencies.
