Courses
cover mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Rules
► WHY
YOU SHOULD JOIN? Tho main aim of these courses is to
develop pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment
to the Indian Power Sector. The courses shall enhance the knowledge and skis of
the engineers sponsored by various Power Utilities and fresh graduates /
diploma engineers,
► ABOUT
THE COURSES: These are modular courses of duration 52 weeks PDC (TPPE)
4 26 Weeks PGDC (T&D) respectively. Formal coaching wril be held at
Regional Institute of NPTI located al Badarpur (New Delhi): On job training for
PDC is conducted at nearby Power Stations and the training on state of the art
simulator, al NPTI. Fandabad / Badarpur / Nagpur or some other place. Simulator
training for T&D Programme will be held at Banglore. The courses cover the
syllabus as per Indian Electricity Rules.
► ELIGIBILITY:-
1. FOR
PDC (TPPE) : Minimum 60% in 10th & 60% in Diploma in Mechanical /
Electrical Engineering (Regular Basis)
Graduate
engineers are not eligible & admission will be cancelled & fee
forfeited if admission Is sought by hiding Post Diploma Qualification.
2. FOR
PGDC (T&D) : Minimum 60% in Intermediate / Senior Secondary & 60%
in B.E. or equivalent in Electrical / Power / Electrical & Electronics
Engineering (Regular Basis).
► SELECTION

► AGE
LIMIT > For nor^ponsorod candidates the age limit as on 26.07.2013 tor
PDC is 25 years and for PGDC (T&D) is 27 years. No age limit for the
sponsored candidates. Sponsored candidate through their organization.
► TOTAL
SEATS >80* in PDC Thermal and45" m PGDC(T&D) course.
Reservation (or OBC / SC / ST / physically chalenged as per Govt, ot India
Norms. 25% seats are reserved for candidates sponsored from Power utilities. If
sufficient sponsored candidates are not available, the seats wel be fled by
non-sponsored candidates.
"The
number of seats may be changed at the discretion of the NPTI management. In
case of oxccssivdy large applications another PDC batch may be started.
► PLACEMENT:
Mary reputed companies visit NPTI for campus placement and placement fee is
charged additionally. However 100% placement is not guaranteed.
► HOW TO APPLY" .-Applications on plain paper along
with the Demand Draft oft 800/- in favour of NPTI, Badarpur payable at
New Delhi with Candidate's name wntlen on its back, with name of the course
being appted super scribed on top of envelop containing appicatlon, should
reach on or before 26.07.2013 to The Principal Director, National Power
Training Institute (NR), Badarpur, New Delhi-110044 with one passport size
photograph in the following format; 1. Name Mother's Name 5, Date of birth & age as on
26.07.2013 6. Sex 7. Marital status 8. Nationally 9. Whether SC / ST / OBC /
PH1 a Postal address 11. Contact No. 12. Email address 13. Educational
Qualification starting from 10' standard, stating subject, colege / institution
% of marks & year of passing. 14. Experience if any 15. Details of DD
(Amount, DD No. Date. Issuing bank name). 16. Sponsored / Non sponsored (if
sponsored attach sponsorship certificate and enclose copy of last 12 salary
slips and copy of bank statement showing credit of last 12 sabres in his bank
account duly attested by Bank Manager). 17. Signature (attach attostod copies
of proof for S.No. 5,9.13 & 14). OBC candidates have to submit non creamy
layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2013. Application can also be down

► COURSE
FEE : may be paid in three installments by non-sponsored candidates of PDC
course and in two mstallmenls of PGDC (T&D) course

tax / Cess extra @ 12.36% shal be charged separately on all charges.
There
is no fee concession for any category of candidates. The cost of transports
l>on to Outslauon transportation / boarding / lodging charges wil be borne
by the participants separately. A refundable caution money ?4,000/- (subject to
ful payment) is to be deposited at the time of joining.

LODGING/BOARDING ; Hostel Facilities is provided on first
come first serve basis, subject to availability on nominal charges. Girl
candidates are provided separate hostel. Hostellers are to take meals only in
hostel
