 -Prospectus and Application Form
Total Number of seats - MBBS - 100
The seats available for admission to the first year MBBS are mainly categorized as:-
1) 50% of seats to be filled by the Government based on merit from the rank list of Common Entrance Examinations 2013 (NEET-UG-2013).
2) 35% of Management quota to be filled from applications received independently to management, ACME from the candidates who qualify the Common Entrance Examination 2013 (NEET-UG-2013).
3) 15% reserved as NRI seats to be filled by the management from students who are dependents of Non Resident Indians Application will be received independently and admission will be on merit.

II. Eligibility Criteria
(a) Candidates   must  be  citizens  of India  who  have  passed  Higher
Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or equivalent examinations recognized by the Universities in the State of Kerala/ Kerala University of Health Sciences. Candidates should have secured an aggregate of not less than 50% marks in the optional subjects of chemistry, physics and biology and separate minimum 50% marks for Biology.
(b) Candidates who have passed their qualifying examinations from authorities other than the State of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and the equivalency of the qualifying examination.
III. AGE
Applicants should have completed 17 years on 31st December 2013. No relaxation of the minimum age will be allowed.
IV. HOW TO APPLY
(a) Application Forms:
Cost of application form for MBBS will be Rs.2000/-. Application form, on payment of Rs.2000/-, will be made available from the Office of the Principal (Medical College), ACME, Pariyaram on all working days from 10 A.M. to 5.00 P.M from 01/06/13 onwards. Applications are available on website also (www.mcpariyaram.com). Downloaded application should be accompanied by Application fee (Demand Draft) for Rs.2000/- payable to Principal, Academy of Medical Sciences, Kannur. Online submission facility is not provided.
(b) Certificates/documents to be produced along with the filled application form.
1. Attested copy of the mark list of qualifying examination
2. A self addressed stamped envelope (12 X 25 cms size) with Indian Postal stamps worth Rs.5/- affixed thereon.
3. Attested copy of relevant page of School records namely SSLC/ISC/CBSE certificate showing the date of birth should be furnished along with the application as proof of age.
4. Certificate of Nativity
5. Attested copy of mark list of Common Entrance Examination (NEET-UG-2013).

6. The filled in application forms with all the required certificates/documents shall be submitted to the office of the Principal, Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram, Kannur on or before 5PM on 15/07/13.
7. Applications submitted should be complete in all respects and the certificates produced after the last date of receipt will not be considered.
(c) PROCEDURE OF SELECTION
35% of the total seats (35 numbers) to be filled by the Management as per the rank list of Common Entrance Examination (NEET-UG-2013) prepared from the applicants applied for admission to ACME, who have qualified the qualifying examination and Common Entrance Examination 2013 (NEET-UG-2013).
The date of commencement of the Course and the last date of admission process will be as per the time schedule fixed by the Government of India/Medical Council of India/Supreme Court of India.
(d) FEES
Fees structure for MBBS for the whole duration of course will be as per the norms framed by the Government of Kerala; or Admission Supervisors' Committee; or the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala, or any other body appointed by the Government of Kerala, for the purpose. The fees payable for the course should be remitted at the time of admission and periodically each year. Fee relaxation is not given to any candidate. The student admitted under management will remit the fees notified by Government of Kerala. In addition, admitted students may have to pay special fees fixed by the Institution. The fees to be paid every year for five years.
V.      SPECIAL FEATURES/DISCIPLINE/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
a. Course duration comprises of 4 1/2 of years academic programme and 12 months of Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (House Surgeoncy)
b. All students who get selected should be vaccinated against hepatitis(A+B), Chicken pox, MMR before admission. A certificate to the effect has to be submitted at the time of admission or before commencement of the course.
c. If any candidate discontinues/leaves the Institution within a period of 15 days before the closing of admission in the first year or any time after closing admission in first year, or discontinues/leaves the Institution in the subsequent years, he/she is liable to pay the fees for the remaining years i.e. fees for the whole duration of course. In such cases transfer Certificate and other certificates of the student concerned will be issued only after the payment of the fees for the remaining years.
d. Yearly remittance of fee for the normal duration of course is mandatory.
e. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the College Campus. An efficient anti ragging committee is constituted with the participation of students, staff members, parents and public. Any type of ragging in the campus is strictly prohibited. If a case is reported against a student he/she will be given chance to explain himself/herself and if the explanation is not satisfactory he/she will be expelled from the institution/suitable punishment given without further notice. Other criminal/ legal procedures will also be allowed.
f. All students admitted will be insured against illness/ accidents through National Insurance Scheme every year for whole duration of course and premium payable will be collected from the student concerned, during admission.
g. The applicants selected for MBBS Courses will have to execute a bond in a hundred rupees Kerala Stamp Paper at the time of joining the course to the effect that he / she shall not discontinue the course after admission and be liable to pay liquidated damages on vacating the college and consent to pay the fees of institution periodically on time. Likewise, candidates will execute in the bond that he/she will pay the fees which has been informed during admission and will not be indulging in any court litigation on the matter of fee payable.
h. All students who are selected should obey the rules & regulations of the Institution without fail. Students are expected to observe absolute discipline in their conduct during the entire period they spend in the institution. Failure to observe absolute discipline will invite appropriate action.
i. Students should wear prescribed uniform with name plate on the chest during working hours. Students are expected to dress up neatly and decently. Jeans/ Baggies/ T Shirts/ short skirts and the likes are not permitted to be worn inside the hospital/college.
j.   Mobile phones are not permitted at the academic areas and hospitals
k. No scholarships or admission reservations for SC/ST/OEC given from Institution.

r. Applicants shall obtain acknowledgement from the college office for the
applications submitted in person, s. Photocopies of Certificates/Documents, attested by a Gazetted Officer or the head of the Institution last studied should be submitted along with the application.
