National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research(NITTTR), Chennai, established by Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D/M.Tech programmes which are affiliated to University of Madras.

Courses and eligibility are as follows:

1.Full-time (Stipendiary) Ph.D Programme in Engineering Education (Inter-disciplinary Research): Candidates eligible for the admission have to posess the following qualifications/criteria:

a) Master's Degree (10+2+3+2 or 11+1+3+2 or 12+3+2)  in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Computer Applications / Electronic Media / Visual Communication / Environmental Science / Physics / Chemistry / Maths / English / Commerce / Management / Psychology / Sociology / Education / HRD or any other discipline related to Engineering Education with not less than 55% of marks or equivalent Grade and a fist class either in Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
b) The candidate should not be getting salary or pension or fellowship from any other source.
c) Age of candidates have to be less than 40 years (age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PD candidates as per Government of India's norms).

 2.Master of Technology (Human Resource Development) M.Tech (HRD) and 3. Master of Technical Education (M.Tech.Ed)

Candidates holding a degree in engineering or technology of University of Madras or any University recognized by the Syndicate of this University as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for these 4 semester programmes.

Candidates, other than those sponsored by State Directorates of Technical Education will have to appear for the Entrance Test conducted by NITTTR. Candidates working in Government and Government Aided institutions and sponsored by the State Directorates of Technical Education are exempted from paying Tuition Fee and Technology Fee. Delhi University has invited applications for the DST Sponsored 3 years M.Tech. Course on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology,  Jointly conducted by Department of Physics & Astrophysics and Department of Chemistry under the Faculty of Science, for the Academic Session 2010-2011.

Candidate seeks admission have to qualify the Joint Admission Test (JAM-2010) to M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry (only), conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and few seats are also available for meritorious candidates qualifying the M.Sc. Admission Entrance Test (2010) for Physics/Chemistrywill be conducted by the University of Delhi.

Eligibility for the course is a Bachelor's Degree with Physics/ Chemistry as a subject with 60% aggregate marks for General Category & 55% for all reserved categories. Candidates also have to complete at least one year course in Mathematics (Statistics not allowed).
