National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad announces the admission to Vth batch of 2-year residential and full time programme, Post-Graduate Diploma in Management- Agriculture (PGDMA). The programme is duly approved by AICTE.

Eligibility: The minimum qualification is Four year Bachelors degree from any Agricultural University or Institution recognized by the ICAR / UGC in Agriculture, Agri-Business Management/ Commercial Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Bioinformatics, Agricultural Biotechnology, Dairy Science/Technology, Fisheries, Food Technology/Food Process Engineering, Forestry, Horticulture, Sericulture and Veterinary Sciences. The appearing students who are going to complete their degree by 30th June 2013 are also eligible to apply.

Admission Process: The interested candidates for admission to PGDMA@NAARM will be screened on the basis of CAT 2012 scores. The short-listed candidates only will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection will be done on the basis of CAT scores, academic record and scores obtained in GD & PI. The details of course curriculum, fee structure, placement information and facilities available can be seen from Academy's website (www.naarm.ernet.in).

IMPORTANT : The Academy will use only CAT 2012 scores for short-listing candidates. Therefore, all the aspirants for admission in PGDMA@NAARM should register for CAT 2012 (www.catiim.in). However, IIM or any other institutions have no role either in the selection process.

The students with eligible Bachelor degree should have appeared in CAT examination during current year (CAT 2012). The candidates are short-listed based on CAT scores for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). GD and PI are conducted at NAARM campus during April-May. The final list of short-listed candidates for admission into PGDMA is announced in first fortnight of the month of May. The decision of the selection committee in this regard will be final. However, the selection criteria are subject to change as per AICTE norms.

Eligibility

Graduates (at least a three year bachelor degree) in any discipline with an aggregate of 50 percent or more marks are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor degree can also apply, provided they complete their degree course prior to the commencement of the PGDM programme

Admission Procedure

Admission to the 2-year PGDM is based on scores in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by IIM's , Xavier Admission Test (XAT) by XLRI, Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) by AICTE.

The short-listed candidates will be drawn up based on CAT / XAT / CMAT percentile, sectorial scores, graduation results etc. They will be called for Group Activity, Group Discussion and Interviews at one of the centres- the KIAMS campus at Harihar and Pune, as well as number of other cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, Indore, etc as notified in the admissions form.

Applications on prescribed forms are invited for admission to M.Phil Programme in Statistics for the session 2013.

It is a two semester full time course including dissertation. The candidates who have passed M.A/M.Sc in Statistics with minimum of 55% marks(Open Category) and 50% marks (SC/ST Category) are eligible for admission. Out of total seats of M.Phil, 8% are reserved for SC/ST candidates.

Applications complete in all respects and duly supported by requisite documents should reach the office of the undersigned on or before 11th February, 2013 .The admission will be based on academic merit (50%) and entrance test (50%).

The entrance test will be conducted on 23th February, 2013 at 10.00 A.M in the Department of Statistics. The test will consist of

> Research Aptitude Component - 25 marks (Descriptive in nature). Out of 5 questions two questions are to be attempted. Each question would carry 12 Yt marks.

> Academic Component - 75 marks (50 Objective Multiple Choice-154 marks each).

All students appearing in the Entrance Test are directed to submit an affidavit mentioning that they will not seek any employment during the first year of M.Phil course. They will also submit in the affidavit that they will have no objection if their names are stricken off from the rolls of Department of Statistics without any prior notice to them if they are not able to complete their course work including examinations of Compulsory Papers and Submission of M.Phil Dissertation in the stipulated time of one year of M.Phil Programme.
