The Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) was established in 1998 by an Act of the Parliament as a Central University with an All India jurisdiction. The Mandate and Objective of the University, as per the Act, is to promote and develop the Urdu language, provide higher, technical and vocational education in the Urdu medium and to provide focus on woman’s education. The University has started functioning from 9th January 1998 with headquarters at Hyderabad . The campus is located in 200 acres of land at Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

ELIGIBILITY:
Master of Arts (MA),
Graduate from any recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate. Applicants should have studied Urdu language up to matriculation /Intermediate10/+2. Admission through merit obtained in entrance test
Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
Post Graduate from any recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Or A candidate who has qualified JRF/ NET or SLET. Admission through merit obtained in entrance test..
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
(1)A candidate who has passed out Masters Degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned subject. With any of the following or i) M. Phil in the concerned subject with at least 55% ii) A candidate who has qualified in JRF/ NET or SLET. OR iv) Possesses teaching experience of not less than three years in any Degree College.
(2) Those candidates who have been working in a recognized University and have studied Master’s Degree prior to 1951 and secured 51% of marks in the concerned subject, However admissions are based through merit obtained in entrance test..
Entrance Test will be conducted at the University Headquarters. candidate who has qualified in JRF/ NET or SLET will be exempted from the Entrance Test.
PG Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT)
Graduate from any recognized University having 50% marks in aggregate Applicants should have studied Urdu language at graduate level or they should have studied school education in Urdu medium
PG Diploma in Functional Urdu (PGDFU)
Graduate from any recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate. Applicants should have studied Urdu language up to matriculation /Intermediate10/+2 Admission through entrance test.. Regular PG students of MANUU are also eligible for admissions.
BSc, DJMC

A candidate who has passed B. Ed. With at least 55% marks from any recognized university. Relaxation up to 50% marks is extended to S.C., S.T., PH. Kashmiri migrants/SPORTS/NCC/NSS/EX-S. The applicants should have studied Urdu language up to SSC or Intermediate. Admission through entrance test.
BEd
Graduate from any recognized University, B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc, home science B.C.A (with mathematics in +2) BBM from any recognized University having secured 45% marks in aggregate in part B i.e., optional subjects. Admission through entrance test. Relaxation up to 50% marks is extended to S.C., S.T., PH. Kashmiri migrants/SPORTS/NCC/NSS/EX-S. The applicants should have studied Urdu language up to SSC or Intermediate. Admission through entrance test.
DEd
Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized Board with 50% in aggregate. Relaxation up to 45% marks is extended to S.C., S.T., PH. Kashmiri migrants/SPORTS/NCC/NSS/EX-S. Candidates should have studied Urdu language up to school level or in Intermediate +2 levels. Admission through entrance test.
