The minimum qualification for admission to MBA programme is Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with 50% marks. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam (Graduation Final Year) are also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be provisional subject to production of proof of having acquired the minimum prescribed qualification at the time of admission.
The admission to the MBA programme at AIMT, Greater NOIDA, is exclusively open for the dependant wards of serving/ retired Army personnel and at AIM, Kolkata, 80% seats are reserved to Army wards and 20% for General.
Admission to AIM is through Common Admission Test (CAT) followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at AIM, Kolkata.
Candidates desirous of seeking admission to AIMT, Greater Noida, can obtain the prospectus for MBA from the Registrar, AIMT, by hand by sending their requisition along with a demand draft for Rs 750/- in favour of Army Institute of Management & Technology Payable at Greater NOIDA. Rs 50/- is to be added if the prospectus is required by post.
Candidates desirous of seeking admission to AIM, Kolkata can obtain the prospectus for MBA from the Office of AIM, Kolkata by hand by sending their requisition along with a demand draft for Rs 850/- (Rs.750/- for Army wards) in favour of Director, Army Institute of Management, Payable at Kolkata. Rs 50/- is to be added if the prospectus is required by post.
Applications can also be obtained from Army Welfare Education Society, Adjutant General's Branch, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) Building No: 202, Shankar Vihar, Delhi Cantonment, New Delhi on submission of payment as mentioned above.
Applications can also be downloaded from the websites: http://www.awes.nic.in, http://www.aim.ac.in , http://www.aimt.ac.in from 11th October 2010 to 31-01-2011. The submission of the filled-in applications are to be supported by the prescribed fee as mentioned above.
Completed applications are to be submitted to respective colleges or Army Welfare Education Society, HQ on or before 31-12-2010 with out any late fee and with a late fee of Rs.200/- on or before 31-01-2011.
