Applications have been invited by Department of Philosophy, University of Calcutta, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-27 for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Philosophy.
Candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma by paying Rs.100/- through a chalan obtainable from College Street Campus (Cash Counter).
The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of two hours duration to be held in this Department on Tuesday, 19.07.2011, (12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.) The list of successful candidates will be displayed in the Notice Board of the Department on 26.07.2011. They will have to appear in an interview, the date of which will be notified on the Departmental Notice Board of Calcutta University. The final selection for joining this programme will be on the basis of the interview. The allocation of supervisors will be on the basis of this interview.
Those candidates who have already passed UGC / CSIR (JRF) Examinations / NET / SET/ SLET /M.Phil/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.
