Applications on prescribed format have been invited by Jammu University from eligible candidates for admission to the BEd regular course of Academic Year 2012-13.

Eligibility:

The candidates must have passed their Bachelor's Degree Examination in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, BCA, BBA (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+2 / 10+1+3 pattern), Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Music and Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India registered with the Association of Indian Universities and have secured at least 45% (44.5% is treated as 45%) of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General Category and 40% (39.5% is treated as 40%) in case of reserved categories (as specified in admission brochure available on University Website).

Candidate has to pay Online Registration cum College Choice fee. So on selection of mode of payment, two chalans will be generated. One will be for Rs 1400 and another for Rs 26990.

Revised procedure for College Choice filling and Seat allotment w.e.f. 19-11-2012

a. Candidates who had applied for admission to B. Ed. in Jammu University and paid Online Registration cum College Choice fee BUT who did not get / take admission.

 1. Candidates should login with their application no. and password.

2. They should fill only ONE college choice where they are really interested.

3. They should select the mode of paying fee of Rs 26,990.

4. The desired seat will be provisionally allotted to the candidate and his / her name will appear in the College allotment list.

5. Candidates should instantly take printout of their Provisional allotment letter.

6. They should immediately visit the College allotted.

7. They will be given admission on first come first serve basis. e. g. if only two seats are vacant and more than two candidates are willing to take admission, then first two will get it.

8. Colleges should Online report about the admitted candidate simultaneously after giving admission. This will help us to ensure that admissions are given only till availability of seat.

9. However, it will be responsibility of Colleges to ensure that they do not give admissions on seats, more than the vacant seats in their college.

b. Candidates who are applying fresh, for admission to B. Ed. in Jammu University.

 10. Candidate has to fill online application.

 11. Candidate has to pay Online Registration cum College Choice fee. So on selection of mode of payment, two challans will be generated. One will be for Rs 1400 and another for Rs 26990.

 12. Rest of the procedure will be same as item 2 to 9 as given above.

i) Last opportunity is given to the candidates to apply for admission to B.Ed. Course in Private Colleges of Education affiliated to the University of Jammu. The admission shall be open from 19.11.2012 (10.00 a.m.) to 30.11.2012 (11.59 p.m.).

ii) Those candidates who have already applied but could not seek admission for one or another reason shall be given a chance to change the college preference and for such candidates allotment Card shall be generated instantly.

iii) Fresh/New candidates can register On Line. The allotment letter bearing all the five choices preference wise alongwith the challan shall be generated. Candidates are required to deposit the Application fee in the form of Bank Challan (HDFC Bank/J&K Bank) amounting to Rs.1400/- and Admission fee in the form of Bank Challan/Demand Draft (Favouring Director Colleges Development, University of Jammu, payable at Jammu) amounting to Rs.26,990/- at the time of admission in the college itself. College concern shall upload the photograph, Signature and thumb impression if already not uploaded by the candidates before locking the admission of the candidate in the college. Allotment letter shall be generated instantly for the candidates with an instruction stated above.
