Nimcet

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutions of National Importance and are Centrally Funded Technical Institutes. The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA programme. The admission to the MCA prgoramme in to NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the year 2013-14 is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2013 ONLY. 

The Curriculum and Syllabi of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme offered by NITs are designed considering the needs of different Information Technology firms in India and abroad. MCA graduates have high potential for jobs in IT Sector.

Eligibility Criteria for NIMCET 2013 Exam:

Educational Qualification : Candidates should have Bachelor's Degree( Full time 3 yrs) with minimum 60%  aggregate marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST) in intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics.

Candidates must possess bachelor's degree with Mathematics, Business Mathematics , Discrete Mathematics , Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science ,Computational Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics ,Elementary Statistics ,Business Statistics from any recognised University.

NOTE : Candidates who are persuing Final year bachelor Degree can also apply for NIMCET 2013 exam , but Candidates have to submit their Results during NIMCET counselling which most probably held in month of August, 2013. 

NIMCET 2013 test will be conducted on Sunday 26th May 2013 at different test centres. Duration of the test is two hours with one question paper consisting of 120 objective type questions in Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English.

The processing fee is Rs.1600/- for Open/OBC category and Rs.800/- for SC/ST catagory candidates.

The candidates are required to fill online application form available at the website http://nimcet2013.nitw.ac.in and to take hard-copy of electronically submitted application form. Processing fee is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of "NIMCET-2013" on any Nationalized Bank branch located in Warangal (AP).

Hard copy of the application along with all necessary documents should reach "The secretary, NIMCET 2013, NIT Warangal-506004 (AP)" on or before 16th April 2013 by registered post/ speed post/ by hand.
