ADMISSION
1. POST GRADUATE
DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (PGDIE) 43"1 BATCH (2013-2015)
This two year
programme develops Industrial Engineers as Technology Management experts wilh
focus on technology-man integration, productivity and cost management for both
manufacturing and service sectors. The programme covers subjects such as
Industrial Engineering Techniques, Strategic Aspects of Industrial Engineering
and Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management. Six Sigma, Operations Management,

1* Class Engineering/Technology graduates in any branch. GATE qualifiers get
Teaching Assistant-ship @ Rs.8000/- per month and contingency expenditure as per
rules. Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with
appropriate weitage to GATE score. Final year Engineering/Technology candidates
can also apply, provided they secure the qualifying degree with First class
before June 17,2013. Only short listed candidates will be called for Group
Discussion and Personal Interview at NITIE, Mumbai
SC/ST
candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt of
India vide letters No.11016/19/2005-SCD-l dated 21.62007 & No.
19012/36/05-Education dated 27.6.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment
of terms and conditions mentioned therein.
Selection of
Sponsored candidates with First Class Degree in Engineering/Technology (with a
minimum of 2 years industry experience) is through personal interview only.
GATE score is not required for Sponsored candidates. No teachip / assistant-ship is granted to Sponsored candidates.
2. FELLOW
(DOCTORAL) PROGRAMME (FP)
Areas: Industrial
Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management Strategic Management,
Organizational Behaviour/HRM, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Economics,
Operations Research, IT appficatJons, Ergonomics, Industrial Safety and
Environmental Management and interface areas in Industrial
Engineering/Management The programme aims to admit, in the above areas of
specialization, individuals with sound academic background, strong motivation
and potential to become excellent researchers at national and international

Eligibility:
Masters Degree or equivalent in Engirmring/Technotogy, Management, Economics,
Commerce, Social Science, Life Sciences and Pure Sciences with First Class from
recognized University/Institution, CA/1CWA and ACS. Those appearing for their
final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply. Project/Work
experience in these areas would be preferred.
Candidates from
Industry /Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience
may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, have to stay In the campus for
six months for credit requirements. No financial assistance is available for
such candidates. They need to produce sponsorship certificate from the
employer.
Selection:
Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and
preparation for the programme, seminar presentation on the area of his/her research
interest and personal interview. In addition. all candidates are required to appear
in a written test conducted by NITlE. Financial Assistance is provided only for
Direct candidates for four years as per MHRD guidelines To be effulgence for
financial assistance the candidate has to have a valid Score of
GATE/CAT/GMAT/GRE/NET/NITIE Test. NITIE Test will be on 1st May 2013(Forenoon).
Presentation on Tentative Research Proposal and Personal Interview will be held
on 1"(Afternoon), 2nd and 3rd May
2013 at NITIE, Mumbai.

PROCEDURE FOR BOTH THE PROGRAMMES
Interested
candidates can apply to NITIE through ONLINE mode: Candidates can fill the
application form ONLINE. For detais and instructions please visit NITIE's
official website www.nteedu.
Application fee of Rs.1000/-(Rs.50O/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and
applicable bank charges can be paid in the form of challan (downloadable from
NITIE website) in any branch of State Bank of India. Online payment option is
also available for SBI Account holders through l-Collect facility on paying bank
charges of Rs.10/-. Hard copy of the filled-in Online Application duly signed
by the candidate should be sent to the address given below along with
Institute's copy of the chelan and copies of the relevant certificates as
mentioned in the Instructions.
Reservation and
5% relaxation on 1st Class % marks are applicable to SC/ST/PD candidates as per
Govt, of India rules for both the programmes. Reservation for OBC candidates
belonging to Non-Creamy Layer is as per the government regulations.
Fulfillment of minimum
qualifications is not an automatic claim to be called for Group Discussion
& Interview.
