TRAINING PROGRAMME IN PALLIATIVE CARE

The Tata Memorial Hospital announces a "Training Programme in Palliative Care" for Social Workers / Volunteers as part of comprehensive care for cancer patients.

The branch of Palliative Care in cancer encompasses caring for the patients with advanced disease, where “quality of life” is the main aim.  Caring for these patients is a team approach with doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, stoma care, volunteers and home care services net worked for maximum benefit.

Applications are invited from SOCIAL WORKERS / VOLUNTEERS for training programme in Palliative Care as detailed below:

DURATION:  10 days from 19.08.2013 to 28.08.2013.

NO. OF SEAT:  30 for Social Workers & Volunteers (Candidates sponsored from District

Hospitals and Government Medical Colleges under the jurisdiction of Directorate of Health Services and Medical Education and Research will be given preference).

QUALIFICATIONS:  BSW/ MSW / Counseling is preferred.

AGE :  Up to 70 years (relaxable in exceptional cases & sponsored candidates)

DIET DEPOSIT:

Rs.800/-(Rs. Eight Hundred only) Actual diet charges will be charged as per rules.

We have no arrangement of accommodation for outside candidates.  They should make their own arrangement for accommodation.

Eligible candidates may send their application in the proforma given below alongwith a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates so as to reach the   H.R.D. Officer, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ernest Borges Marg, Parel,  Mumbai - 400 012 on or before 23.07.2013.

Late & incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.

List of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on our website http://tmh.gov.in and http://tmc.gov.in  on 08.08.2013.  They will have to report at the HRD Office, 2nd floor, Service Block Bldg., Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012 on 19.08.2012 at 09.15 a.m. with all the relevant documents
