Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship
(CSSS) for College and University Students 2013
The Central
Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications from
eligible candidates for its Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship (CSSS) for
College and University Students 2013.
Eligibility criteria:
a. The applicant
should be an Indian national
b. The applicant
should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination 2013 conducted by
CBSE and have secured the total aggregate marks (in first five subjects) equal
or above the following minimum marks
as per the
stream opted by the applicant: Science - 418; Commerce - 401; Others - 338
c. The applicant
should be pursuing higher studies and have taken admission in Under Graduation
regular
course (not
correspondence or distance mode) from recognized educational
institutions/university in India.
d. The applicant
should not be availing any other scholarship.
e. Total annual
income of parents of the applicant from all sources should not exceed Rs.4.5
lakh (Rerevised
to Rs. 6 lakh)
per annum.
f. The applicant
should not belong to creamy layer as defined by DoP&T from time to time.
(This is applicable to all
categories of
applicants both ‘general’ and ‘reserved’)
Number of
scholarships will be distributed amongst pass out of the Science, Commerce and
Humanities in ratio of 3:2:1. Reservation to SC, ST, OBC and PH will be as per
guidelines of the Govt of India.
For renewal of
Scholarship, applicant has to apply on separate renewal online form. Applicant
should have passed in all the subjects in semester/annual examinations with not
less than 60 % marks in the aggregate of 2 semester or annual examinations and
have maintained 75 % attendance, good discipline and not involved in ragging
activities etc.
Scholarship once
cancelled will not be revived under any circumstances.
Last date of receipt of online application
for CSSS-2013 is 30th September, 2013. Printout of online application form
bearing Registration No. and other documents should reach “Assistant Secretary
(Scholarship), 7th floor, CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet
Vihar, Delhi- 110092” by Speed Post only on or before 30th September’2013.

alongwith the hard copy of online application:
Duly signed
online-generated application form
Joining report
attested by Head of Institution
Copy of mark sheet
of Sr. School Certificate Exam – 2013 (write online registration no. on the top
of mark sheet)
Copy of Caste
Certificate, if applicable (write online registration no. on its top)
Income Affidavit
on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- in original (write online registration
no. on its top; Income affidavit should be either in Hindi or English on the
prescribed format on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- duly sworn in before
Notary Public/First class Executive Magistrate/Revenue Officer)
Income Tax Returns/Form-16
of both the parents (of the year ending March 2013) issued by the employer
should be attached alongwith the affidavit wherever applicable
One cancelled
cheque of personal account (which is used for scholarship) bearing Account
number and NEFT/RTGS code
Joining report
must be signed and stamped by the Head of the Institution from where U G course
is being pursued
