P.G. ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited for the following courses of the
University for July-2013 session.
Applications are invited by Netaji Subhas Open
University, Kolkata for admission to the following Post Graduate courses of
July-2013 session.
Courses and
Eligibility:
1. M.A. in Bengali, English, History, Political
Science, & M.Com.
Graduate (Three-year Course) of any recognized
University and have studied at least 300 marks in the relevant subject and
passed successfully.
2. M.A in Public Administration
Graduate (Three-year Course) with Public
Administration / Political Science / Sociology / Economics.
3. M.A in Social Work(SW)
Graduate (Three-year Course) with Sociology /
Political Science / History / Public Administration / Economics / Anthropology
4. M.A in English Language Teaching (ELT).
Graduate (Three-year Course) with English/
Linguistics.
5. M.A in Education
Graduate (Three-year Course) with Education / B.Ed.
/ B.Ed. (SEDE).
6. M.Sc. in
(i) Mathematics,
(ii) Geography and
(iii) Zoology.
Preferably Honours Graduate in the relevant
subject. Others Graduates (Three-year Course) may be considered if they studied
at least
300 marks in the relevant subject at the
undergraduate level and secured at least 55% marks.
7. Master of Library & Information Science
(MLIS)
BLIS degree from a recognized University.
Application
Procedure:
Step (i) The applicant need to fill-up and submit
on-line, the application form and take print out of the filled in application
form & three-part pay-in-slip from admission website
www.wbnsouadmissions.com
Step (ii) The applicant needs to attach necessary
documents with the filled-in computer generated application form and then is
required to report to the Study Centre, of his/her choice during its working
hours to have it checked and verified by the coordinator concerned.
Step (iii) The applicant then needs to visit any
branch of Allahabad Bank during banking hours to deposit his/her admission and
application fees using the pre-printed challan collected at the time of online
submission and stamped by the co-ordinator on verification. After due payment
he/she must obtain from the bank two copies of Bank Challans, one copy for
his/her own record and one copy for the University.
Step (iv) Then he/she needs to submit within
stipulated date the computer generated application form, necessary documents,
photograph and university copy of the challan obtained from the bank to the
Study Centre. He/she will collect a copy of the University prospectus from the
study centre. The prospectus contains a perforated enrolment form which is to
be filled up by the applicant. This is required for generation of enrolment
certificate. Along with the aforesaid documents, the applicant may like to
carry a photocopy of his/her computer generated admission form.
After submitting all the documents to the Study
Centre he/she may like to have a photocopy of the computer generated
application form signed and stamped by the person attending him/her in the
Study Centre. This signed and stamped copy he/she may preserve as a proof of
submission.
Important
Dates:
• P.G. On-line admission system will be available
for use at www.wbnsouadmissions.com
on and from 12/08/2013. Access to the website
will be blocked after
12 noon on 30/08/2013.
• P.G. Admission fees collection by the Bank: 12/08/2013 to
03/09/2013 (Office hours of the Bank)
• Verification and Endorsement of Application Form
by the Study Centres: During office hours of the respective Study Centres in
the entire period of admission (though the Study Centre are at liberty to give
service to the applicant beyond their office hours)
Important
Note:
Students seeking admission to the M.Sc. course with
Geography & Zoology will not come under the purview of on-line admission
process. They can collect the prospectus on payment of Rs.150/- directly from
the School of Science Building, NSOU at K2, Bidhannagar Fire Station (First
floor), Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700 091, during working hours.
The M.Sc. course in Geography is being offered at
present at (i) Raja N.L.Khan Women’s College Study Centre, Midnapore (W) (ii)
Sorojini Naidu College Study Centre, Kolkata-28
(iii) Syamaprasad College Study Centre, Kolkata-26
And the M.Sc. course in Zoology is being offered at
present at (i) Raja N.L.Khan Women’s College Study Centre, Midnapore (W) (ii)
Raja Peary Mohan College Study Centre, Uttarpara (iii) Durgapur Govt. College
Study Centre, Durgapur (iv) Bidhan Nagar Govt. College Study Centre, Salt Lake This
admission will remain open to the intending students during 12/08/2013 to
30/08/2013.
During this period School of Science, of NSOU would
allow them to submit application on verification of necessary documents. The
merit list for admission will be published in due course.
The allotment of students to the study centres will
be as per merit list. The dates of counseling, admissions and mode of payment
will be notified at that time.
