Applications are invited for Ph.D / M.Phil (Full Time/Part Time) for the academic year 2013-14 (Even Semester). Details of vacancies and Ph.D / M.Phil regulations are displayed in the Karunya website.

 Application Forms may be downloaded from Karunya website www.karunya.edu.  Filled in application form with all details and a DD for Rs. 500 (drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, Karunya University’ payable at Coimbatore) be sent to Admissions Officer, Karunya University, Coimbatore – 641 114, Tamil Nadu, India to reach on or before 04 October 2013. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for a test and interview before final selection.

Important Dates:

04 Oct.   : Last date for receipt of applications

19 Oct.   : Entrance Test & Interview

06 Dec.  : Admissions & candidates join the respective Departments / Schools

24 Jan.   : Subject registration for course work

Applications are accepted only for the disciplines for which vacancies are given.

Any application received after the last date or for the disciplines not included in the vacancy list will not be considered after initial processing.

Research Admissions

The University will advertise in leading news papers and also through University website for calling for application for admission into Ph.D / M.Phil program during March / April and also during September / October every year. Eligible applicants will be invited to write a written test conducted by the University. The written test will be in 2 parts. Part 1 is on general aptitude and Part 2 is a technical aptitude for research. The questions through Part 2 will be department specific. After the test, the candidates will be asked to appear in an interview and the rank list will be prepared. Depending on the vacancy available, students will be admitted into the programmes.

The University shall advertise for Ph.D / M.Phil (Full-Time / Part-Time) programmes for the July intake as well as for the November intake.
