Correspondence Course Admission Notice 2014-2015
Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri -– 574199 has invited applications for admission to following
Correspondence Course of Academic Year 2014-15.
A. Under Graduate Courses
1. B.A.
2. B.Com.
3. B.B.M.
B. Post Graduate courses
1. M.A. (Economics)
2. M.A. (History)
3. M.A. (Political Science)
4. M.A. (Sociology)
5. M.A. (English)
6. M.A. (Kannada)
7. M.Com.
Eligibility Rules:
(a) U.G. Programmes
i) A candidate who has passed the two year
Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-university Education Board in
the State of Karnataka or who has passed any Diploma course of three years duly
recognised by Karnataka State technical Education Board or any other
examination considered as equivalent thereto by Mangalore University is
eligible for admission to the above degree programmes.
ii) A candidate who has passed I year/First &
Second semesters or II year/First to Fourth semesters of any Bachelor Degree of
Mangalore
University is eligible for admission to II or III
year of the respective Bachelor Degree as the case may be, subject to the
conditions required to be imposed by the University.
(b) P.G. Programmes
A candidate who has passed any Bachelor degree
examination of Mangalore University or of any other University considered as
equivalent thereto is eligible for admission to these P.G. programmes.
Application forms and prospectus may be obtained in
person from the office of the following on payment of Rs.200/- to the Account
of Mangalore University in any one of the specified banks through the challan
i) The Director, Directorate of Correspondence
Courses, Mangalore University, Shopping Complex, Mangalagangothri – 574 199.
ii) The Principal, University College, Hampankatta,
Mangalore –575 001.
iii) The Principal, F.M.K.M.Cariappa College,
Madikeri.
iv) The Principal, Upendra Pai Memorial College,
Kunjibettu, Udupi.
Application forms and prospectus may also be
obtained by post from the Director, at the above address, by sending the Bank
challan on payment of Rs.240/- in the above manner or Demand Draft of any
Nationalised Bank for Rs.240/, drawn in favour of ‘The
Finance Officer, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri’, payable at
Mangalagangothri/ Mangalore.
Submission
of duly filled in application forms
a) Submission in person: The candidates may submit
their duly filled in application forms in person. In such cases the candidates
should bring with them their original marks cards and Degree Certificates of
the qualifying examinations alongwith one set of xerox copies of the same for
attestation in this Directorate These attested marks cards and Degree
Certificates should only be submitted.
b)
Submission by post: The candidates may also submit their duly filled in
application forms by Registered Post so as to reach the Director, Directorate
of Correspondence courses, Shopping Complex, Mangalagangothri - 574 199 on or
before the last date. In such cases, original marks cards and Degree
Certificates of the qualifying examinations along with one set of xerox copies
of the same should be submitted.
Last date for submission of Applications
i) without penal fee - 22.09.2014
ii) with a penal fee of Rs. 500/- - 10.10.2014
