National
Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai has invited applications
for admission to doctoral course of Academic Year 2015-16.
Areas:
Industrial
Engineering, Engineering & Technology Management, Operations and Supply
Chain Management, Project Management, Manufacturing and Systems Management, IT
& Systems, Decision Sciences, Environmental Engineering and Management, OB
& HR, Marketing, Finance & Accounts and Economics & Strategy.
Eligibility:
a.
Regular Candidates:
Master
Degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Technology/ Management/ Economics/ Commerce/
Social Sciences/ Life Sciences/Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks from
recognized University/Institutions, CA/ICWA and ACS. Project/Work experience in
these areas would be preferred.
Those
appearing for their final examination in the respective discipline can also
apply. Such students, if selected, will be provisionally admitted provided that
they complete all requirements for obtaining their Master Degree before 16th
June 2015. The admission of these candidates will remain provisional until they
produce the mark sheet proving that they satisfy the eligibility criteria. The
dead line for submitting the final year mark sheet is 30th December 2015.
b.
Sponsored Candidates:
Candidates
from Industry/Academic with above eligibility and a minimum of 2 years
experience may also apply. No financial assistance is available for such
candidate. They need to produce "Sponsorship Certificate" from the
employer. Such candidates will also submit an undertaking stating that the
candidate will be relieved from the organisation for one year and all the
arrangements will be made by the organisation to enable the candidate to pursue
the Fellow Programme.

Application
fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) can be paid online
or in the form of challan (downloadable from NITIE website) in any branch of
State Bank of India or ICICI Bank. Online payment option is also available for
SBI Account holders through l-Collect facility.
Reservation
and 5% relaxation on 60% aggregate marks are applicable to SC/ST/PD candidates
as per Govt, of India rules for the Programmes. Reservation for OBC candidates
belonging Non-Creamy Layer Is as per the government regulations.
Fulfilment
of minimum qualifications is not an automatic claim to be called for Group
Discussion & Interview.
