Eligibility
For B.Sc. Nursing: General category 45% marks in 10+2 and 40% marks for Reserved Category SC and OBC Classes in Physics, Biology, English and age group (17-35 years)

For General Nursing & Midwifery: General category 45% marks in 10+2 and 40% marks for Reserved Category SC and OBC & Ex-serviceman with Science subjects and age group (17-35 years).

Only unmarried/ widow / legally divorced females are eligible for this training.

Admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses 2011-2012



Online applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to the following courses for the academic year 2011 – 2012

B.Sc. in Nursing
B.Sc. in Radiology
B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology
PC B.Sc. in Nursing (For sponsored candidates only)

Eligibility
For B.Sc. in Nursing:
Pre university examination conducted by the department of Pre University OR
Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) OR
Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre degree Examination (10+2) OR
An equivalent with 12 years of schooling from a recognized Board or University

For B.Sc. in Radiology:
Pre university examination conducted by the department of Pre University OR
An equivalent Examination recognized by NIMHANS, Bangalore OR
Job oriented Diploma Courses from recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or equivalent.

For B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology:
Pass in two years pre university examination or equivalent with Science group having secured an aggregate of 45% in Science subjects.

For PC B.Sc. in Nursing:
The candidates seeking admission to this course must

Hold a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
Be a registered nurse
Having a minimum of 2 years experience in hospital or community health nursing
Have passed PUC examination in Arts / Science / Commerce
Have working knowledge in English
Shall be medically fit
Have good personal & professional record.

Age Limit: The age of candidates for all the B.Sc. courses should be between minimum of 17 and maximum of 25 years as on 01.08.2011.

For PC B.Sc. candidates who is over 48 year of age as on 31st December 2011 shall not be eligible.

Application forms for all the above courses are available online at NIMHANS website http://www.nimhans.kar.nic.in . The applications have to be filled online and submitted online.

Print out of the Application Abstract with latest passport size photograph affixed along with the demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore 560 029”, and relevant enclosures should be sent to the Director, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore – 560 029 by super scribing the name of the course(s) applied for on the Envelope without fail.

The application fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General Candidates & Rs.750/- for SC/St candidates.
