Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot has invited applications for admission to PG Medical Seats in Punjab Govt medical colleges, Amritsar and Patiala, DMC, Ludhiana, SGRD Institute of Dental Sciences, Amritsar and for admission to various PG courses (Super Specialty, MD / MS / Dip. / MDS) running in the affiliated colleges of the BFUHS for the Academic Year 2012-14. Selection to the courses will be done through Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET-2012) to be conducted on 26th February 2012.

Candidates with MBBS / BDS degrees can apply for the courses.

Applications have been invited by State institute of Nursing & Para Medical Sciences, Badal, distt. Muktsar, a constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot for admission to Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) and Dip. in Radiography Courses of Academic year 2011.

Eligibility for admission:
10+2 (Medical) passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University as a regular student.

Other Conditions:
75 % seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to district Muktsar, Mansa, Bathinda, Faridkot, Moga and Ferozepur and balance 25 % seats for rest of districts in state of Punjab in all courses. Reservation of seats for SC, ST, Backward Class and other shall be according to the rules of Punjab Government.

Candidate should be a resident of Punjab.
Age limit: 17-35 years as on 31.12.2011.
Candidate should be medically fit.

Applications have been invited for admission to B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) two year course, session 2011-12 at University College of Nursing, a constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

Eligibility as per INC Norms:
(i) Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the Baba Farid University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.

(ii) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
- O.T. Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- T.B. Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Neurological & Neuro-Surgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing
- Orthopedic Nursing

(iii) Age – The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 01.07.2011.
