ENTRANCE TEST NOTICE FOR ADMISSION TO BAMS / BHMS COURSES – 2014

An All India combined entrance test (MCQ) for admission to BAMS & BHMS courses in RG Govt. PG Ayurvedic College, Paprola, (Kangra) and Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (Pvt), Kumarhati, (Solan) H P respectively will be held on 13-07-2014 (Sunday) at Dharamshala, Hamirpur, Mandi and Shimla Examination Centres for which ONLINE Application forms from the eligible candidates are invited through H.P. University Website www.hpuniv.in  / www.hpuniv.nic.in.  The schedule for filing online application form for this entrance test will be 12.06.2014 to 03.07.2014. Thereafter, the link will be disabled. The desirous candidates are advised to be ready with soft copy of passport size photograph and scanned copy of signatures in jpg. before filling online application forms.

Number of Seats:

i) In BAMS Course, 41 seats out of total 50 seats will be filled up from eligible Bonafide Himachali Candidates under Group-1. Two seats are reserved for Govt. of India Nominees (Allocated to the state of J & K) under Group-II. Out of Remaining seven seats under Group - III, one seat shall be reserved for Malaysian Nationals and one for ICCR sponsored candidate. Remaining five seats under Group-III shall be filled up on All India Basis in which Bonafide Himachali who have applied under Group-I shall also be considered.

ii) In BHMS Course, 47 seats out of total 75 seats will be filled up under State Quota and remaining 28 seats under Management Quota Seats.

(Note: The admissions to the BAMS Course will be subject to approval of the CCIM and Central Council (CCH) in case of BHMS.)

Educational Qualification for BAMS Course:

The candidates should have passed 10+2 from H.P. Board of School Education or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board /University established by law in India with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC) and must have passed English as an elective subject. Provided further that GOI Nominees, for 2 seats in BAMS Course should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects securing minimum 55% marks.

Educational Qualification for BHMS Course:

The candidates should have passed 10+2 from H.P. Board of School Education or its equivalent examination from any recognized board / University with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English as Elective Subjects.

Note: The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination and whose results are still awaited can also apply but their candidature will be provisional and subject to fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria by the time of Counselling.

Age:

The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age as on 31st December, 2014. For BHMS, the candidate must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December, 2014.

Mode of payment of Entrance Test Fee: Rs.1600/-(Rupees Sixteen hundred only) in case of General and Other Categories and Rs.800/-(Rupees eight hundred only) in case of SC/ST Categories is required to be paid by the candidates at any Branch of State Bank of India by computer generated challans / Net Banking or through Credit / Debit Cards of any Bank

The Computer generated confirmation copy of Application Form with a separate photograph pasted on it duly attested by the Gazetted Officer and having signatures of the candidate and parents along with fee receipt must reach in the office of the Deputy Registrar (Ent. Applications have been invited for BEd Entrance Test leading for admission to BEd Course in Himachal Pradesh for the Session 2014-15

Educational Qualifications:

(i) The candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical / Non-Medical / Commerce / Arts) and/or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto (any candidate with 49.99 % or less Marks would not be eligible) and 45% marks in case of SC / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped categories (any candidate with 44.99% or less Marks would not be eligible) from a recognized University established by law in India are eligible for admission to the programme.

(ii) The candidates who have appeared in BA / BSc / BCom final year or Master’s Degree examination and the result of the same has not yet been declared, can also apply for BEd Entrance Test. However, the admission will be made subject to the production of certificate of qualifying examination with required percentage of aggregate marks at BA / BSc / BCom / Master’s level examinations as per the eligibility clause of the prospectus on the day of admission / counseling. In case, a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility conditions on the particular day of admission / counseling, he / she will have no right for admission to the BEd course.

Age: There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to the regular BEd Course of one year.

Applications have been invited by Department of Computer Science, Himachal Pradesh University for the State level common Entrance test for MCA admission to Department of Computer Science, (H P U Shimla), Government/Private Colleges affiliated to H. P. University, Shimla and Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.

ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India, with Mathematics at +2 level Or  BCA/B. Sc. (IT)/ B. Sc. (Computer Science)/any graduate with computers as one of the subject in all the three years of graduation with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India.

Age Limit: Maximum age limit for admission to MCA course is 26 years for general category, 29 years for SC/ST category and 28 years for girl candidates, as on the 1st July of the year concerned. The Vice-Chancellor may permit age relaxation up to a maximum of six months.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The Entrance Test for admission to the MCA course shall be held at the following centres:

a) H.P. University Campus, Summer Hill, Shimla

b) Government College, Mandi

c) Government College, Hamirpur

d) H.P. University Regional Centre, Dharamshala, Kangra

APPLICATION FORMS:

(For both Subsidized and Non-Subsidized seats in H P University Campus & colleges): Duly filled in application form, fee (in the form of DD or IPO), ADMIT CARD along with postage stamps of Rs.6/- affixed on it on the space provided must reach The Chairman, Department of Computer Science, H.P. University, Shimla-5 by the last date i.e. 28/4/2014 fixed for the purpose. The fee deposited will not be refundable under any circumstances. The applicants are required to submit the fee in the form of a demand draft or IPO of Rs.650/- for general category and Rs.325/- for SC/ST/IRDP/ANTODAYA in favour of Chairman, Department of Computer Science, H.P. University, Shimla Payable at Shimla.

(ii) MDS: In-service regularly appointed (M.O. Dental) and in-service contractual / Rogi Kalyan Samities appointees and for open competition graduates of Dental Colleges located in the Himachal Pradesh, Bonafide Himachalies who have done BDS from any Institute recognized by DCI and Children of H.P. Govt. employees/ employees of autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the H.P Govt. getting admission to BDS course through CBSE or any other All India Entrance Examination in DCI/GOI recognized Dental colleges in India, can apply for this test.

How To Apply
For prescribed Application Form (OMR) and detailed information, the Prospectus can be obtained at the University Exams Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter, Library Building, (Basement) Summer Hill, Shlmla-5 from 29.12.2011 to 18.1.2012 during working days on cash payment of Rs.2000/- including test fee and by post Rs.2100/- by sending IPOs/Bank Draft to be drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla.

The requests for obtaining the Prospectus by post should be addressed only to the Assistant Registrar (Ent. Tests) H.P. University, Summer Hill, Shimla-5 mentioning clearly therein the name of the prospectus i.e, MD / MS (Allopathy) or MDS (Dental). No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 3.1.2012.
