Eligibility & Selection Criteria
1. A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with a minimum of 10+2+4 years of formal education. Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they complete their formal education as specified above by June 30, 2015.
2. A candidate must have a valid score for at least one of the following examinations:
CAT: CAT 2014 held in November 2014.
GMAT: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
GRE: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
GATE: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
OR Qualified for any Masters level entrance examinations conducted by ISI not earlier than 3 years from April 17, 2015.
A candidate may provide multiple scores for the above qualifying examinations. The score that maximizes the chance for selection will be considered.

Online applicants:
Candidates should fill in the application form online.

They should upload self-attested copies of all requested documents.

They should pay the application fee using the payment gateway available from the same website.

They should include the payment confirmation details in the online application form.

Off-line applicants (through postal mail):
Candidates should download the application form available from the website and fill-it using a dark-colored pen.
They should enclose self-attested copies of all requested documents.
They should enclose a demand draft of the requisite amount drawn in favor of ‘Indian Institute of Management Calcutta’.
They should send the filled-in application form, demand draft and self-attested copies of all requested documents by post. The application packet must reach us on or before April 17, 2015.
Any application received without the payment of application fee will be considered incomplete and will not be eligible for further consideration.

The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has invited applications for admission to PGPEX (Post Graduate Programme for Executives) course of Academic Year 2014-15.

Eligibility Criteria
Executives with a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline and more than 5 years of post-qualification managerial / professional experience may apply. A valid GMAT score (taken within last 36 months of Application date) is also required.

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidate is based on professional experience, Academic record, GMAT score and personal interviews. In addition to these candidates are required to submit a statement of purpose and recommendations from two referees holding senior managerial positions. These are also taken into consideration in the final selection.

In sync with its philosophy ofcontinuous innovation in management education, IIMC launched a one-year full time residential programme for executives (PGPEX) in December 2006. On successful completion ofthe programme, participants would be awarded a Diploma titled PostGraduate Diploma in Management for Executives.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Executives with graduate degree (minimum 3 years duration) in any discipline (or years duration) in any discipline (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized University. At least 5 years of full time post-qualification
Managerial/professional experience. A valid GMAT score (taken within the last 36 months at the time of application)
Proficiency in English

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection will be based on Academic Background, Professional Experience, GMAT Score, Personal Interview, Statement ofPurpose and Recommendation letters from two referees who hold senior academic or managerial positions.

MODE OF DELIVERY OF THE PROGRAMME:
Course delivery through an appropriate mix ofclassroom lectures, case studies, individual and team assignments. The programme will be delivered by IIMC faculty along with international faculty of repute.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR/ PROJECT IN INDIA
Participants will be required to undertake a study tour to one or two foreign countries for a period of 4 weeks. This will be facilitated by the Institute.

Program Fees
Program fee will be Indian Rupees 14,00,000/-(non-refundable) or equivalent US$ for one year, payable in four instalments as follows :
a) By 31st December, 2011(Last date of acceptance) Rs.2,00,000/-(1st Installment)
b) By16th and 17th April, 2012(Date of registration]Rs.3,00,000/- (2nd Installment)
c) By 25th July, 2012 Rs.5,00,000/-(3rd Installment)

Furthermore an amount of Rs.20,000/- has to be paid as refundable caution deposit at the time of registration (Students provided with family accommodation will have to pay Rs 48,000/- extra.).
All payments have to be paid by D.D./Banker’s cheque favouring “Indian Institute of Management Calcutta” payable at Kolkata. Applicants residing abroad may send the equivalent of the applicable amount in US Dollar. D.D./Bank charges are to be borne by the applicants
The program fee includes tuition fees, cost of study material and accommodation (single). Students will have to bear the expenses for food, personal travel, electricity, cable TV, other utility and misc., expenses and any other expenses of personal nature during their stay in the campus or abroad. For any international project or study tour abroad, the institute will bear the economy airfare, visa and medical insurance charges only.

Admission to the FELLOW PROGRAMME (equivalent to Ph.D) commencing June, 2012.



The Fellow Program of IIM Calcutta invites applications from candidates with proven academic backgrounds, who have the intellect, interest, and ingenuity to pursue doctoral studies in management sciences and related disciplines. Applicants must possess the ability, motivation, and discipline to sustain themselves in a rigorous doctoral program for four-to-five years.

Areas Of Specialization Of Fellow Program
The Fellow Programme is a full time doctoral level programme and is divided into two streams

Eligibility
An applicant to the Fellow Program is required to have: EITHER a First Class Master's degree in any discipline (or equivalent professional qualification) and a three-year Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate; OR a First Class Bachelor's degree in Engineering. In addition, applicant must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in either the Secondary or the Higher Secondary Examination of a Board (or equivalent).
A final-year student appearing for the Bachelor's degree examination in Engineering or Master's degree examination in any discipline can also apply. Such a candidate, if selected, will be provisionally admitted provided (s)he completes all requirements for obtaining the degree before 30th June, 2012. Admission of the candidate will remain provisional until (s)he produces mark sheets proving that (s)he satisfies the eligibility criteria. The deadline for submitting the final year degree mark sheets is 31st December, 2012.

Financial Support:
Institutional Support

The Institute provides substantial financial and infrastructural support to Fellowship students.
No tuition fee is charged. Instead, each student is given a stipend that starts at Rs.20,000 per month, and goes up to Rs.24,000 per month with the student's academic progress. In addition, each student can avail of contingency grants of up to Rs.50,000 for the first year of study, and of up to Rs.20,000 per year for subsequent years; these grants can be used to buy books and personal computers, to engage in field research, and to attend academic conferences. The stipend and contingency grants are given for four years of study, and can be extended for up to one more year by demonstrating satisfactory progress in thesis research.
At the end of the first year of coursework, each Fellowship student is required to take up an industry summer project, or work on a research project that is related to his/her areas of specialization under the guidance of a faculty member.
Additional financial support is available for Fellowship students in their dissertation phase in the form of extra funds of up to Rs.30,000 for field research (if needed). Further, such students can take up Teaching Assistantships as and when available, which pay up to Rs.11,000 per month(in addition to the stipend). The Institute also provides full financial support to students to attend up to three international conferences when they receive invitations to present research papers.
Fellowship students are expected to be residents in the Institute campus in order to pursue their studies and research. The Institute provides single-room accommodation to all students, and has limited family accommodation for married students. Nominal fees are charged for such accommodation.
Other infrastructural support include access to the well-endowed B. C. Roy Memorial Library of the Institute, access to dedicated computing labs for Fellowship students, and wireless internet connectivity.
Fellowship students who have completed their dissertation research (or are nearing completion) can avail of the Institute's Placement Services for job search.

Admission Tests
An applicant can apply to at most two areas of specialization. (S)he needs to have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2011 OR, depending on chosen specialization(s), alternative test(s) in lieu of the CAT as specified in the following table. The applicant is required to have taken the appropriate test(s) no earlier than 24th January, 2010, and the test score(s) should be valid on 24th January, 2012.

Application Process
An applicant is required to submit a Fellow Program (FP) Application Form 2012 for each area of specialization that (s)he applies for. Application forms are to be downloaded from the IIMC website: http://www.iimcal.ac.in/programs/FPM/ . If an applicant is unable to download the Form, (s)he can get the Forms physically collected from: The Fellow Program Office, IIM Calcutta, Diamond Harbour Road, Kolkata 700104.

Completed Application Form(s) must be submitted along with an Application Fee of Rs.300. This fee should be paid by a crossed demand draft for Rs. 300/- payable to "Indian Institute of Management Calcutta" on a bank in Kolkata. An SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicant need not pay the application fee as long (s)he sends an attested photocopy of his/her SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificate.

When applying to two areas of specialization, an applicant is required to submit two separate application forms, complete in all respects, one for each area of specialization. However, a single payment of the application fee of Rs. 300/- will suffice for each applicant, as long as (s)he submits the two application forms at the same time (e.g., in the same mailing).

For each area of specialization applied for, two letters of recommendation (in the prescribed format) are required. Blank forms for recommendation letters, and instructions on how to return them, are contained in the Application Forms.
Applicant must ensure that a submitted Application Form is complete in all respects. Along with the Form, the applicant is required to submit the following "supporting documents":

Certified Documents: Provide attested copies of transcripts of Academic Records/Mark Sheets/ GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-JRF test scores. Attestation may be done by a Faculty Member of a College/University/IIM, by a Member of a Legislative Assembly, or by a Gazetted Officer. A "key" to a transcript's letter grade system should be included wherever necessary.

Research Summaries: Enclose summaries of your published or unpublished research work.

Exemptions
An applicant who is a graduate of any one of the two-year full-time Post Graduate Programs of any one of the Indian Institutes of Management with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of no less than 6.00/9.00 (or its equivalent), or a degree-holder of the PGDBM Program of IIM Calcutta with a CGPA of no less than 6.5/9.00 does not need to take any Admission Test. (S)he can apply directly using the FP Application Form(s). (S)he has to pay the application fee, and meet the application deadline. After submission of Application Form(s), the selection procedure followed for such a candidate will be identical to that of all other candidates.

NRI/Foreign Applicants
An Indian student who is, or has been, a Non-resident Indian, can apply to the Fellow Program, as can a foreign student. Irrespective of the specialization(s) that such a candidate applies for, (s)he can request that the GMAT be considered the appropriate Admission Test for him/her. (S)he needs to have taken the GMAT no earlier than 24th January, 2008 if (s)he does not hold a foreign MBA degree, and no earlier than 24th January, 2006 if (s)he does hold a foreign MBA degree.
Such an applicant must comply with the same Application Process as a domestic student – submit completed Application Form(s), pay the Application Fee, and satisfy all other criteria stated above (or their equivalents).

Interview Process
Once all valid applications are in, a subset of candidates will be short-listed (on the basis of their Admission Test scores) for an interview process. All short-listed candidates will be called for personal interviews at the IIM Calcutta campus during late March/early April 2012. Domestic candidates will be reimbursed actual AC 3-tier return train fare by the shortest route.
In a first round, candidates will be interviewed by faculty members in the area(s) of specialization to which the candidates have applied. Those who qualify in the first round will be subsequently interviewed by the faculty members of the Fellow Program Committee, who will make the final selection decisions.
