Applications have been invited by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra for admission to MEd one year course for the Department of Education and Colleges of Education affiliated to Kurukshetra University running MEd under SFS for the session 2011-12.

Eligibility:
BEd / BA BEd / BSc BEd Examination with 45% marks and minimum pass marks for SC / ST Candidates.

Application:
Prospectus containing details and Admission Form can be obtained from the Manager (P&P), K.U. Kurukshetra by remitting a sum of Rs. 650/- (Rs. 200/- for SC / BC / Blind candidates of Haryana) by DD in favour of Registrar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra payable at Kurukshetra, if required by Post.

Price at the counter is Rs. 600/- (Rs. 150/-for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana).
Prospectus and Admission Form can be downloaded from Website: www.kuk.ac.in and Rs. 600/- (Rs. 150/- for SC / BC / Blind candidates of Haryana) will be deposited by the candidate in any CBS Branch of Punjab National Bank in India or sent DD in favour of Registrar, K.U. with the downloaded Form.

Last date for submission of Application Form is 18-11-2011 up to 5.00 pm in the office of the Chairperson, Department of Education, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

Department of Education, University of Allahabad, has invited applications for admission to M.Ed Courses of Academic Year through Admission Test on August 14, 2011.

Eligibility:
Graduate with a minimum of 45% marks and has passed B.Ed or equivalent examination as a regular student with a minimum of 55% marks with 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC.

Application forms can be obtained from Accounts Office, Senate Hall Campus, University of Allahabad in person by paying Rs.600/- in cash till August 04, 2011.

M.Ed ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2011


Applications are invited for admission to the M.Ed degree course offered at the School of Pedagogical Sciences, for the Academic year 2011-12.

Duration of the course 1 year (2 semesters)
Student Intake 40

Eligibility Bachelors Degree in Education with not less than 55%marks or CGPA of 2.2.
Elective 1 of M.Ed course to be chosen based on B.Ed optional are as follows:
1. Language Education [(a) English, (b) Malayalam, (c) Hindi, (d) Arabic & (e) Sanskrit.]
2. Mathematics Education
3. Science Education
4. Social Science Education
5. Commerce Education
6. Information Technology Education


SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection of students is based on marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination plus Weightage, Entrance Test and Interview in the ratio of 50:40:10.

The Entrance test (One hour duration) shall consist of objective type questions for 40 marks based on the Syllabus of the general papers of the B.Ed Degree Programme of Mahatma Gandhi University. Candidates who have P.G. in the subject concerned are eligible for weightage of marks in the following proportion.


I class-15, II class-10 , III class-5.


TEACHER QUOTA:
One seat is reserved for teachers working in Government/Aided Schools/Colleges (Certificates Countersigned by AEO/DEO/DD to be attached). The Selection under Teacher Quota will bebased purely on the length of approved teaching service in Government or Aided Schools/Colleges and they should secure a minimum of 40% marks in the M.Ed Entrance Exam.
Candidates are eligible for a weightate of 0.1 mark for every month of approved teaching service in Schools/Colleges, subject to a maximum of 15 marks. The maximum age of the candidate under Teacher Quota shall be 50 years as on the last date of application.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
a. Copies of documents to prove qualification/age/caste and other relevant certificates should be attached along with the application. Original documents should be produced at the time of interview/admission.
b. Those who have qualified from Universities other than Mahatma Gandhi University should produce eligibility/recognition certificate from this University and Migration Certificate/NOC from parent University at the time of admission.
c. No rounding of marks to the nearest whole number is permitted.

RELAXATION OF MARKS AND RESERVATION OF SEATS:
Only a pass in the qualifying exam is required for SC/ST candidates. SEBC candidates are eligible for a concession of 3% marks and OEC candidates are eligible for a concession of 5% marks. In the absence of SC/ST candidates, vacancy will be filled up by admitting eligible OEC candidates. Three percent of seats shall be reserved for candidates having physical disabilities.
Physically challenged candidates suffering from disability of 40% or more and certified as such by a Medical Board (Civil Surgeon) indicating the percentage of disability shall be considered for reservation.


COMMUNAL RESERVATION:
The percentage break up of seats as per mandatory reservation norms based onUniversity/Government rules is as follows.
1. Ezhava/Thiyya - 8 %
2. Muslim - 7 %
3. Latin Catholics other than Anglo Indians - 1 %
4. Other Backward Christians - 1 %
(SIUC & converts to Christianity from SC)
5. Other Backward Hindus - 3 %
6. Scheduled Castes - 15%
7. Scheduled Tribes - 7.5%
8. BPL among forward community - 7.5%
9. Kudumbi - 1% (from State merit quota)

BPL candidates among forward community should invariably submit income certificate from Village Officer proving their eligibility.

WEIGHTAGE OF MARKS:
Weightage of marks for proficiency in Sports/Games/ NCC/NSS etc. and bonus marks for Exservicemen applicants and widows and children of Jawans/Ex-servicemen will be given as per the existing rules of admission.


HOW TO APPLY:
a. Application forms can be downloaded from the Website www.mgu.ac.in. Application forms are not available at any other source.
b. Candidates should remit the REGISTRATION fee of Rs. 350/- [Rs. 175/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST category] at the University CASH COUNTER/FRIENDS JANASEVANAKENDRAM or by way of D.D. drawn in favour of the FINANCE OFFICER, MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY, PAYABLE AT SBT M.G. UNIVERSITY CAMPUS BRANCH (Code No.669), P.D. HILLS P.O., KOTTAYAM. Full postal address of the applicant with Pincode is to beentered on the reverse side of DD in block letters.
c. Duly filled up applications along with Registration Fee (DD/Pay-in-slip), a self addressed stamped (Rs. 5/-) envelope should be forwarded to the Director, School of PedagogicalSciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Priyadarsini Hills P.O., Kottayam – 686 560, Kerala.
