The School of Maritime Management, Indian Maritime University invites applications for admission to its MBA Programmes. The common entrance test (CET) is a prerequisite for a candidate to get admitted for the MBA programmes mentioned below. The CET for these programmes will be held on 8th April 2012 at Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Vishakhapatnam. The School, apart from its exclusive identity as a centre of specialist education, also has institutional collaboration with premier maritime institutions around the world, viz, Technical University, Delft, Netherlands; STC-NMU, Netherlands; Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, UK. The School also earns appreciation for placing all the students of 2009-11 batch successfully.

IMU-CET (MBA) Eligibility
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA,{45% in case candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently Abled (DA) categories}, awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.

Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree and those who are awaiting for results can also apply. Prospective candidates must maintain a valid email account throughout the selection process.


Availability of IMU- CET (MBA)- 2012 Application Form
IMU-CET (MBA) application form and payment challan can be downloaded from the website www.imu.tn.nic.in and/or from www.imusmm.org . The fee of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/DA candidates) can be remitted using challan (SBI/ Indian Bank/ Axis Bank) in the account number given in challan. Filled-in application form must be sent to “Admission Coordinator- MBA, Academic Section, Indian Maritime University, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai- 600119” before 31st March 2012, with a copy of challan. IMU-CET (MBA) score will be valid only for the admission to courses during the Academic Year 2012-13.

Eligibility.
A pass in any Bachelor Degree or Post Graduate Degree Examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Duration : 2 years (4 Semesters)

Admission Procedure.
Application form can be downloaded or can be directly obtained from the college office. The filled in application can be sent along with the DD for Rs. 500/- in favour of Principal, DIST, payable at Angamaly. To obtain the application form by post, send a DD for Rs. 550/-. The admission is based on the performance in MAT conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), GD and Interview conducted by De Paul Institue of Science & Technology (DIST).

ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION
Engineering/Technology graduates in any branch with first class (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and with valid CAT (Common Admission Test) score. Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weightage to CAT score. As per the Govt. of India rules, reservation of seats exists for SC, ST, OBC and PD candidates.

SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India vide letters No. 11016/19/2005, SCD-1 dated 21.06.2007 and No. 19012/36/-5- Education dated 27.06.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein. Final year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they secure first class in the qualifying degree and intimate before June 29,2012. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview atNITIE, Mumbai.

Eligibility:
MBA:
3 Year Bachelor's Degree Programme after 12 years of formal schooling. The minimum percentage of marks (in aggregate) in a bachelor degree in different disciplines: Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%; Sciences - 55%; Mathematics or Statistics - 60%; Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60%/CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 or Post-Graduates Degree or 2nd Degree Examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor's / PG Degree examination may also apply.

Doctoral Programme:
Candidates seeking admission to FMS Doctoral programme are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011 conducted by IIMs during October 22,2011 to November 18, 2011.

Work experience minimum of two years is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates exempted from the admission test are required to apply to FMS on the prescribed form along with a demand draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi by 31st January 2012.

Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad has invited applications for admission to MBA program of Academic Year 2012-14.

Eligibility:

A Bachelor’s degree after (10+2) in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA {45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and DA (Differently Abled Categories)}.

For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply

Selection
