B. FOR FULL TIME SPONSORED M.TECH PROGRAMME WITHOUT
SCHOLARSHIP. (FOUR SEMESTER PROGRAMME OF TWO YEAR DURATION)
i) A candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech. degree
in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical
Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of
Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR A candidate
must have passed in the A.M.I.E.(India) Exam. with appropriate specialization
/Grad. I.E.T.E. (India) AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned
branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. The
preference shall be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified.
ii) The candidates must have minimum one year’s
full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational
and Research Institutes/ any Government Department
Or
Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant
field in which admission is being sought. Experience period will be counted
from the date of declaration of B.E. Result till 31/07/2015.
iii) A letter from the employer must be furnished
stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer
should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the
completion of the course.
NOTE; It is essential to submit attested copy of
certificate to calculate the % for CGPA/ FGPA from the concerned University/
College (wherever applicable) otherwise formula as per AICTE guidelines will be
used for converting CGPA/FGPA to percentage.
C. PART TIME M.TECH. PROGRAMME (SIX SEMESTER
PROGRAMME OF THREE YEAR DURATION)
i) A candidates must have passed B.E./ B.Tech.
degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical
Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of
Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR
A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I.E.(India)
Exam. with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or
any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E.
degree by the University of Delhi.
ii) The candidates must have minimum one year’s
full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/Educational and
Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous
organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. One
year experience will be counted from the date of declaration of B.E. result
till 31/07/2015. The candidates will be required to submit a ‘No Objection
Certificate” from their employers.

RESERVATION: Reservations for SC/ST and Physically
Challenged(PH) candidates will be as per the admission procedure and
implemented division wise as communicated by the Faculty of Technology
.(reproduced below). “No seats be reserved for Scheduled Castes in a
post-graduate course where the number of seats is less than 7. where number of
seats is 7 or more but less than 15, 15% of seats be reserved for Schedule
caste candidates(if no schedule caste candidate is available ,the seat would go
to a schedule tribe candidate, if available). Where the number of seats is 15
or more reservation @15% and @7.5% for schedule castes and schedule tribes
candidates (inter-changeable)be made respectively. The reservation will be
implemented department wise. 3% of total seats will be reserved to the
physically challenged candidates if they are eligible.
AGE REQUIREMENT: A candidate should be at least
twenty one years of age before the first day of October 2015. However, the
Vice-Chancellor on the basis of individual merit may relax the age up to a
maximum period of one year.
PLACEMENT: Campus Recruitment programme conducted
by the Institute is a very vital activity (For only Full-Time M.Tech
candidates). Sponsored (Full Time) and Part-Time candidates will not be allowed
to appear for placement through campus. A close interaction between the
Institute and various company executives has created excellent placement
record. By sheer dint of hard work and dedication, the students of the
Institute have created their enviable position in the industries. The Institute
has excellent record of assuring confirmed jobs in prestigious industries,
organizations and MNCs etc.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
i. All candidates for admission to M.Tech.
Programme must submit their applications online at the website www.nsit.nic.in.
ii. The selection of the Full-Time (GATE)/ SC/ST/
PH M.Tech. students shall be made on the basis of Gate Score only amongst the
candidates registered online for the admission, through screening committee and
selection committee.
a. The percentage in qualifying examination shall
decide the merit (as on the date of application).
b. In all such cases preference will be given to
those who have completed the B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree course on the
date of Online registration.
iii. The final selection of the candidates for
Sponsored (Full-Time) and Part-Time course shall be made by the Selection
Committee on the basis of their performance at the qualifying examination,
written test and interview as indicated below:
For Full Time Sponsored/ Part Time M.Tech
Programme: Maximum Marks
1. Qualifying Examination (Aggregate) 50%
2. Test conducted by Institute 30%
3. Interview/Viva-Voce 20%

NOTES:
1. Appearing in written test and interview/ Viva-
Voce is compulsory for full time sponsored/ part time candidates.
2. A separate merit list will be prepared on the
basis of GATE Score only for SC/ ST and Physically Challenged students. All
admissions will be made in the order of merit.
3. After approval of the recommendations of the
selection committee, the selected candidates will be offered admission to the
programme. They will be required to join the concerned Division.
4. There will not be any direct admission at any
level after first semester.
Scholarship:
1. GATE qualified candidates selected for full-time
M.Tech course will be entitled for AICTE scholarship as per rules/ procedures
decided by AICTE at the time of release of scholarship.
2. Sponsored/ Part-Time candidate will not be
eligible to receive scholarship even if they are admitted on the basis of GATE
score.
PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION
Application process for M.Tech. Admission at NSIT
for session 2015-16 will be online. Candidates willing to apply for admission
in various M.Tech. Courses at NSIT can visit NSIT Admission website http://www.nsit.nic.in. Online
application process will start from March 23, 2015 . Detailed admission schedule
(tentative) is also available on this website along with other related details
about courses, eligibility criteria, number of seats, fee details etc.
There are three types of M.Tech. courses at NSIT.
1. Information System under the Division of
Computer Engineering
2. Signal Processing under the Division of
Electronics and Communication Engineering
3. Process Control under the Division of
Instrumentation & Control Engineering
IMPORTANT:
One application form is required for each division.
If candidate is willing to apply for Full Time (FT) as well as Sponsored Full
Time (SFT) or Part Time (PT) in a division, he/she is required to make multiple
registrations and fill separate applications for each type of course in a
division. For each registration made by candidate, separate registration fee of
Rs. 1,000/- is required to be deposited by the candidate.

Complete

application form and create password.
• Note down
registration number generated by the system.
• Login to
your account using registration number and password, edit your application for
any changes. • Registration fee can be deposited through Online.
• Confirm the
application, and take printout of the application form.
• Sponsored/
Part time candidates can download sponsorship certificate/No Objection
Certificate formats from website.
• Download
Medical fitness certificate format from the website
• Physically
Challenged (PH) candidate can download PH Certificate from the website.
• In case of
any problem contact the Help Desk.
• If
Shortlisted, bring complete application form along with a passport size
photograph and all required certificates (original and a set of attested
photocopy) to NSIT on the dates of Written test/Interview
• If offered
admission, report at Academic PG section (Room No. 014, Administrative Block)
along with all your original certificates and other documents and demand draft
of fee.
