PhD Admission Notice 2014-2015

Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Tamil Nadu has invited applications for admission to full time PhD programmes in the areas of Gender Studies, Local Governance, Life Skills Education and Development Studies.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in the above mentioned Areas / Social Sciences / Humanities with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% for SC / ST / Differently abled category).  For part time PhD two years of work experience in the relevance field is mandatory.

Candidates with MPhil / JRF / NET / SLET are exempted from entrance examination, however, have to appear for the interview.

Applications have been invited by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Kumbha Marg, Sector-18, Pratap Nagar, Tonk Road, Jaipur -302033 for admission to PhD Program in Faculty of Medicine (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Radiation Physics) and Faculty of Pharmacy (Pharmacy).

Eligibility Criteria

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences will give admission to all residents of India in the PhD

program hereunder mentioned, at various Government and Private colleges affiliated and approved

for the purpose, with RUHS, Jaipur, on the basis of UGC regulation 2009, instructions mentioned in

the information booklet and relevant ordinances of the RUHS, Jaipur.

Educational Qualification

Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for PhD course of this University, under the following faculties:

Faculty of Medicine:

MD, MS or equivalent Master’s degree from a college / university recognized by MCI are eligible to register for PhD in their subject of specialization.

or

Clinical subjects: MD, MS or equivalent Master’s degree after MBBS recognized by RUHS, Jaipur are eligible to register for PhD in their subject of specialization.

or

Pre-clinical / Para-clinical subjects: MD, MS or equivalent Master’s degree after MBBS or nonmedical candidates with MSc in Anatomy / Physiology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Pharmacology / Radiation Physics from a college / university recognized by MCI are eligible to register for PhD in their subject of specialization.

or

MPharm degree or Master’s degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RUHS

Faculty of Pharmacy:

MPharm degree or a Master’s degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RUHS. Such candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks in BPharm or MPharm. A relaxation of 5% marks at PG level to the SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates shall be given.

Candidate who has appeared for master’s degree program and whose result is awaited can also apply for RUHS PhD Admission Test-2014. Such candidate shall be permitted provisionally to appear at RUHS PhD Admission Test-2014. A candidate must qualify the master’s degree program so as to submit the marks statement of the same before the interview board during its meeting.

(i) Candidates who have qualified UGC / CSIR NET / JRF examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognized Governmental Department / Institute / Agency / SLET / valid GATE with a minimum score of 65 or having successfully completed regular MPhil Programme of two years duration from a recognized university / institution.

(ii) The teacher fellowship holders of the recognized college / university / institution, provided that the competent employing authority issues a No Objection Certificate to the candidate to join the PhD Programme.

(iii) ICCR- Sponsored candidates.

6. A valid GATE score (professional courses) / NET qualification (basic science and other courses) is mandatory as per MHRD norm for candidates not having MTech / ME degree.

7. Qualifying in NET is mandatory for post graduate (MSc / MA / MCom, etc.) candidates in non-engineering / technology disciplines.
