ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2014-2015
Admissions
to all the courses except MSc.Ed are restricted to candidate having domicile of
the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Union
Territories of Puducherry and Lakshadweep, as per the quota earmarked for each
state and UT. Admission to MSc.Ed. is on all India basis. For the children of
Defence personnel, the domicile is considered on the basis of the place of
location of the State Board/CBSE/College/University from where they pass their
qualifying examinations. Other details of the courses are given below:

A student has to select an area of specialization from among the
list of area of specialization offered by the Institute.

A pass in B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. / B.A.Ed, or equivalent degree with
50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a PG degree will be given appropriate
weightage.

International
Diploma in Guidance and Counseling (IDGC): One year IDGC is offered
through distance mode. Admission procedures begin from
Octobereveryyearlnterested candidates may send their request further details

Relaxation
of 5% marks of SC and ST candidates is allowed.
All
programs except DCGC are affiliated to University of Mysore (Grade A NAAC accredited)
Admission
to MSc. Ed programme is open to candidates of all states/ UTs of India, whereas
admission to BAEd and M.Ed programmes is open to candidates of southern States
and UTs only. Selection for all courses will be on the basis of Marks obtained
in the qualifying examination and the reservation polices of Govt. of India.
Application
form can be obtained by post by sending DD for Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST
candidates) drawn in favour of Principal, RIE Mysore, payable at Mysore or can
be downloaded from the website.
