Winter School Admission Notice 2015

Department of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College Tamil Nadu Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Chennai - 600 007 has invited applications for admission to winter school on Advances in Breeding & Infertility Management in Canines scheduled to be conducted during 12th Nov - 2nd Dec, 2015.

The course is designed to give both theoretical and practical exposure to the participants in the growing field of canine reproduction. Topics ranging from the most frequently encountered problems in practice to the most advanced techniques available will be dealt with. Canine reproductive physiology-ovulation and breeding management-artificial insemination- pregnancy diagnosis - neonatal care- protocols for termination of pregnancy- diagnosis and management of reproductive disorders- obstetrical emergencies- infertility management- surgical and non-surgical contraceptive techniques-DNA profiling and advanced reproductive technologies are some of the topics covered in this winter school.

Only 25 participants shall be selected for the course after screening of all the applications.

Eligibility Criteria
Master Degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry (Preference would be given to those working in Veterinary Teaching Hospitals, Clinical departments / related clinical settings and research farms).
Working not below the rank of Assistant Professor / Scientist / equivalent post in the concerned subject under Veterinary University / Agricultural University / ICAR Institutes and other National Institutes.

After filling the online application, take a printout of the application and get it approved by the competent authority of the organization. Upload the scanned copy of application through Capacity Building Program (CBP) Vortal.

The participants are requested to fill in the application form in the given format and send it through proper channel so as to reach the Course Director on or before 01.10.2015.

An advance copy (via e-mail) directly to the Course Director will be considered for final selection only after the receipt of the original copy through proper channel. A postal order / DD of Rs.50/- (Non-refundable) drawn in favour of Course Director, ICAR Winter School - 2015, Dept, of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College payable at Chennai must be sent along with the application. Selected candidates will be intimated through e-mail / fax or by post to which they should promptly send their confirmation.

II. MODE OF SELECTION
Candidates will be selected strictly based on their performance in the HSC / equivalent examination as per the Government Order.

III. MODE OF SUBMISSION OF APPUCATIONS
Candidates can apply for the courses either online or through manual application. A.  ONLINE APPUCATION
=> Candidates may fill in and submit applications online at www.tanuvas.ac.in/ugadmission. on or before 02.06.2014,5.45 p.m.
=> Applications can be submitted online only after the application fees are paid at the Bank (any branch of Union Bank of India in Tamil Nadu), as there is a field in the online application form to fill in the Transaction ID (provided by the Bank after paying the fee).
Candidates should ensure that correct amount of application fee is paid at the Bank, using the triplicate challan (available at the Bank branches. Sales Centres and at www.tanuvas.ac.in), as detailed

Candidates may apply for a single course, two courses or all the three courses, through a single
application, provided they have paid the application fees accordingly.

Applications submitted without paying the application fee(s) at the Bank will be rejected.

=> Candidates should read the Prospectus carefully before filling up and submitting the application. All
fields in the application should be correctly and completely filled in.

=> Candidates, while applying online, should have the scanned copies of all the required documents /
certificates for uploading, while or after submission of online application.

=> After or while submitting the application online, the candidates will be prompted to submit the
required certificates / evidences online. Candidates may submit the scanned certificates online.

=> After online submission, the candidate will receive an SMS and / or eMail that his / her application(s) is(are) submitted successfully, with a user name and password for future use. => If, for any reason (for want of more details), the candidate is not able to fill in all the required fields, they may save the application for future use. Upon saving the application, the candidate will be given a user name and password for editing the contents in future and uploading it before the due date.

=> Candidates not receiving the SMSs / eMails even after 24 hours post submission may contact the Admission Committee through email (admission@tanuvas.org.in).
If the candidates are not able to scan and submit the required documents / certificates online, they may send (by post) the copies of the same along with a copy of the uploaded application to reach the Chairman, Admission Committee (UG), TANUVAS, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai-600 051 on or before 02.06.2014, 5.45 p.m

=> The certificates / evidences include
1). Recent attested passport size photo of the candidate, 2).  Attested copy of HSC / CBSE / other equivalent mark sheet, 3). Attested copy of Transfer Certificate, 4). Attested copy of Community Certificate, 5). Attested copies of Certificates for Special categories if required, 6). Attested copy of Nativity Certificate if required and 7). University copy of the Challan for the application fee paid at the bank.
Attestation should be obtained from the Head of the Institution where the candidate last studied or Group A / B Officers in all the copies of certificates / documents being submitted.

=> Failing to submit copies of certificates / evidences for the information provided either online or by post within the specified date will lead to rejection of application.
B. MANUAL APPLICATION

=> Separate application forms should be used for BVSc & AH, BTech {Food Technology) and BTech (Poultry Production Technology) degree courses.

=> Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidate, community and the course(s) for which the application^) (BVSc S AH / BTech - Food Technology / BTech – Poultry Production Technology) is(are) required.

Cost of application for a course is Rs.300/- for SC/SCA / ST and Rs.600/-for others.


=> Candidates should ensure that correct amount of application fee is paid at the Bank, as detailed below:

=> To avail the concession on the cost of application forms, SC / SCA / ST candidates should necessarily write the name of the community in their written request. => There are three methods available by which the candidates can obtain manual application forms. They are:
Manual Method - 1 (Obtaining application from 14 Sale Centres by paying Application Fee at the Union Bank of India branch using TRIPUCATE challans)
1. The candidates may go to any branch of Union Bank of India in Tamil Nadu, where they can get the triplicate challan {triplicate challan is also available at the Sales Centres and at www.tanuvas.ac.in) for payment of fees for application and prospectus.
2. Fill in the triplicate {three parts) challan and pay the required amount at the branch.
3. The bank will give back two parts of the challan with the required details filled in (one meant for University and another for the candidate to keep).

4.  Candidate will submit the portion of the challan meant for University along with a request letter at the Sale Centre to get the application(s) and prospectus.

The candidates may send a request letter to “The Chairman, Admission Committee, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai-600 051” clearly indicating the Name, Address, Community and Course(s) for which Application(s) is(are) required, with necessary Demand Draft (dated not earlier than 11.05.2014) drawn from a nationalized bank in favour of “The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, MMC, Chennai-51” and a self addressed and stamped (Rs.40/-) envelope  (size:37.5 x 28 cm) for getting the application by Post.

=> Manual application forms will be issued on ALL WORKING DAYS from 12.05.2014 to 31.05.2014 between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm._

=> Filled in applications should reach the Chairman, Admission Committee (UG), Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai - 600 051 on or before 02.06.2014, 5.45 p.m._

=> Applications received after the due date and time will summarily be rejected and the University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
