Eligibility:

Any candidate qualified Master's Degree with 55% marks in concerned subjects may apply for admission.

Applications are obtainable at University Sales Counter, Rajbati (and not by post) on payment of Rs. 250/- and on production of original or attested copy of mark-sheets of both Degree and Masters level examinations, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days till 10.02.2015. Application form and Information Sheet may also be downloaded from the website: www.buruniv.ac.in  and candidates obtaining the form from the website must enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- favouring The Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan payable at SBI, Burdwan at the time of submitting the same.

Closing date of issue and submission of application forms: 10.02.2015.

Admission test will be held on 15.02.2015 (Sunday) at 11 a.m. at the Auditorium Hall, Golapbag Campus, B.U. The result of the written test will be published on 24.02.2015 at Burdwan University's website. The viva-voce test will be held on 02.03.2015 at 12 noon in the department of the concerned subject at Golapbag Campus, B.U.

Eligibility : Candidates (both Fresher & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor's Degree and / or in Master's Degree in Arts/ Science/Fine Arts/Music/ Commerce or any other qualification equivalent thereto, will be eligible for application.

In case of Bachelor's Degree, 50% marks may be determined either on the basis of Honours marks only or on the basis of Honours marks & the marks of elective subjects taken together, if necessary.

Candidates (both Fresher & Deputed) belonging to SC/ST category having at least 40% marks either in Bachelor's Degree (i.e. for the candidates having Honours degree only) and / or in Master's Degree in Arts/ Science/Fine Arts/Music/Commerce or having at least 37.5% marks in Bachelor's Degree (i.e. for the candidates of General courses only) will be eligible for application.

Candidates (both Fresher & Deputed) belonging to PH category with at least 45% marks either in Bachelor's Degree and / or in Master's Degree in Arts/ Science/Fine Arts/Music/ Commerce or any other qualification equivalent thereto, will be eligible for application. In case of Bachelor's Degree, 45% marks may be determined either on the basis of Honours marks only or on the basis of Honours marks & the marks of elective subjects taken together, if necessary.

Age limit : 35 years as on 30th June, 2012, for Fresher candidates. 40 years as on 30th June, 2012, for Fresher candidates belonging to PH category.

Reservation : As per rules. 5% seats of the Fresher candidates in each College will be allotted for the candidates of other than Burdwan University.

Qualifications:
MSc in any branch of Biological science, preferably with NET

Fellowship:

Eligibility:
A candidate is eligible to apply for admission into the course if he/she secures not below 45% of the total marks in case of General category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST category at the Bachelor’s Degree examination in 10+ 2 + 3 pattern.

Age:
The maximum age of the candidate seeking admission into the course is limited to 30 years in case of General Category and 35 years in case of SC, ST and Other Backward Communities as on 1st January 2012.

Selection:

Candidates awaiting results of B.Sc 3rd year examination can collect forms on production of mark sheet of B.Sc 2nd year examination. But the filled-in forms will have to be submitted alongwith the marksheet of B.Sc final examination only.
