Admission Criteria
•A Bachelor Degree e.g. BA, BSc, BE, BTech, BArch etc. with 50% and above
•Final year degree students awaiting results.
•Admission Procedure - Through an aptitude test & interview to held at GIS Institute.
•No entrance test for foreign or experienced candidate

 
Admission Procedure
Admission to the UNIGIS course is through and entrance test and personal interview.

Follow the simple three steps to get admissions in UNIGIS PG Diploma in Geo-Informatics

Step: 1.
•Submit the application form (can be downloaded or requested for)
•Submit necessary documents
•Submit application fee* of INR 5,000/- or Euro 650 (as the case may be)
Application form received without the application fee shall be rejected.

Please note 50% (INR 2500) of application fee shall be refunded if the candidate not selected in entrance exam.

Step: 2
Appear in the entrance test (dates for the test shall be notified to the candidates)

Admission to the full time course is through and entrance test and personal interview. The weightage are as,
1. Written Test-70%
2. Interview-20%
3. Academic Performance-10%

•The written test shall be through multiple choice questions in the English language, and shall test the applicant's abilities in geography, computer proficiency, logic & reasoning, English grammar & comprehension and general awareness.
•The duration for the written test will be 2hrs.
•The personal interview shall be conducted to evaluate the candidate's oral communication skills.

Step: 3

If found suitable, deposit the first installment of the fees.
Once the candidate has been found suitable for the course, (s)he shall be informed telephonically or through email and shall be given time to deposit the first installment of the fee. If the fee is not received within the stipulated time, the seat shall be given to the wait-listed candidate. Wait-listed candidates shall be informed, as and when the seat becomes available, which is a maximum of 20 days.

Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree (with minimum 50% aggregate) or a Master's Degree in any discipline. Minimum 2 years Work Experience.

Process: 1) Aptitude Test 2) Group Discussion 3) Personal Interview Performance in all the above components will be considered for the final selection. Applicants with CAT/XAT scores are exempt from the Aptitude Test. Applications without these scores can write the BIM Aptitude Test (BAT) on the day of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with not less than 55% marks in the aggregate taking into account the marks scored in all subjects of all the university examination conducted during the entire prescribed period of the degree programme. However, this prescribed minimum marks shall be 50% in the case of SC/ST students. Final year students can also apply but admission is subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria and CAT score. Admission is based on the rank/score obtained in the CAT 2009 and Group discussion and interview at the institute

Selection of candidates for admission: Selection of candidates for admission to MBA programme will be made on the basis of scores of CAT 2009 among the candidates applied to NITK, Surathkal. Group discussion and interview will follow.

Eligibility: You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and a valid MAT composite score of a minimum 550 ( Sep. 09, Dec.09, Feb 10 & May 10). Students in the final year of their degree courses who have an aggregate of 50% in their first two / three years (incase of 4 year bachelor degree courses) can also apply.

For MCA - You must possess BCA/BSc/Bcom/ BA/ MSc, or a degree with Maths as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation. Candidates appearing for qualifying examination or awaiting results may also apply.

Selection Process: IMS will form a merit list on the basis of MAT scores and counseling under the supervision of the Uttarakhand Technical University and a Government Nominee will be conducted.

Note: Getting registered is no guarantee of getting a call for the counseling session.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

A student must have completed selection procedure by appearing MHRD, Government of India approved national admission test namely ATMA(AIIMS Test for Management Admissions) held in February 2010 or MAT (Management Aptitude Test) February 2010, and Group Discussions and Personal Interview conducted by the institute.

After the declaration of ATMA/MAT result, the admission process will tentatively begin in the 2nd week of March 2010.

The exact date and venue will be communicated to the applicants by email and will be displayed on the institute's website www.indsearch.org.

Merit List will be prepared on the basis of ATMA/MAT score, GDPI score and the Academic Track Record.

Candidates selected for admission will be required to pay prescribed fees by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director IndSearch payable at Pune on working days between 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on notified dates.
 
CERTIFICATES TO BE SUBMITTED:
Students selcted for admission to any course should submit one copy of a recent stamp-size photograph and the following certificates in original, along with a photocopy at the time of admission. But not later than 31st July,2010.
