Admission Notice

The Lawrence School, Lovedale (Ooty) is a 150 years old Residential co-educational Public School, run under the aegis of the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and is affiliated to the C.B.S.E. The school is known for academic excellence and all rounded development of children. The School provides excellent sports facilities and opportunities for various co-curricular activities.

Registration for Admission for the academic year 2009-10 is open for Class IV. Limited seats are available in other classes except in X & XII. Admission Test will be held on 7th December, 2008 at Lovedale (Ooty), Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Delhi Kolkatta and Indian Embassies abroad. Interested parents may register their wards immediately. ENGLISH
Comprehension: To test the reading skill an unseen passage followed by questions and exercises based on the reading passage.
A composition / paragraph / letter writing to test the writing skill.


3. Grammar : Punctuation, direct / indirect speech, apostrophe, tense, opposites, parts of speech, sentence framing, sentence completion, fill in the blanks with correct tenses.


FOR OTHER CLASSES (CLASSES V TO IX) STUDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO FOLLOW THE NCERT TEXT BOOKS OF THE PREVIOUS CLASS I.E.,

FOR CLASS V ENTRANCE EXAM, CLASS IV TEXT BOOK SHOULD BE FOLLOWED. THE ENTRANCE EXAM FOR V TO IX WILL BE IN THREE SUBJECTS I.E., ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS & SCIENCE.
